r1g0r Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 my issue is that i wear a 12wide in ladies' footwear, but medium-to-thin calves. i also wear skirts almost every day at work, and endeavor to look half-way "put together". in boots (my personal favorites) this means i have WAY too much room in the calf/shaft of the boot and i think this is unsightly. anybody have any ideas for this minor problem? with some boots i can wear legwarmers, but that can also look strange. yeah, i know. a guy in skirts and women's high-heeled boots worrying about looking "strange". society has decided that men will be confined to certain items of clothing, and certain modes of presentation. until we rebel PERSONALLY against this, we are diminished!
Dawn HH Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I know that this suggestion would be an extra cost situation, but may make you feel better about your looks wearing boots with skirts. Take your boots to a repair shop and have the rear seam of the boot taken out and shortened a bit to fit your calves and resewn. They may even feel better on your legs during wear. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
