It makes me taller and I don't have any trouble finding my size in women's shoes.

Can gay high school women get "tattoos" and gay high school men get earrings? Seems that would be just as big a question to someone such as myself who was in high school more than 40 years ago

Today I bought a pair at Macy's. I went to a Macy's store but they didn't have my size (7 1/2). What they did was give me a list of all the Macy's there were near by that did have that size. I found one and the shoe was Calvin Klein "Carley Croco Patent." When I get a chance, I'll take a photograph and posted it for you.

ONE of the reasons I wear heels is to BE taller. When I dress up and go "out" I wear at least 3 or 4 inch heels. A 5'7" tall woman is no big deal. BUT, like I said, that's only ONE of the reasons I wear them. In my case it's a good reason, though.

When I go fo a pedicure, I always leave wearing flip-flops. And that's the only time I wear flip-flops.

Kate Beckinsale (Pitty about her toes falling off the edge of her shoes!)
I think it means her shoes don't fit. I've even seen that on flat sandals.

The heelpopping sound makes me think of flip-flops, which is not appealing to me in the least.
Flip-flops can now be worn anywhere by anyone. When I was young, they couldn't. The only time you saw them was at the beach or a swimming pool. If a boy or girl would wear them to school, the principal would tell them to go home.

I remember a lot of years ago.....during the "hippie" movement....some women didn't shave their legs. As a male, I wouldn't worry about shaving, waxing or using something like Nair.

I don't think it always has to do with height. I have a female cousin that is 5'6" or 5'7" but she wears a size 9 shoe. During the Summer it's always a sandal and during the Winter, a flat slip-on with socks. Maybe at Church you'll see her in a 2 inch heel....but that's about it. Also when she wears sandals it looks like her big toe is broken. Also, it's a size 9 NARROW.

This sounds pretty nice, a Dr. Scholl's product called "For her High Heel insoles." It says: "Slip a pair Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel Insoles into your pumps to help prevent foot aches and pains caused by high heels" Does anybody have these? Do they work?

I am 5 feet 3 inches tall. I use to be able to wear a UK 37 but now it's a 37.5 that I wear. I don't think my feet have grown...just gotten wider.

I thought the boy in 9th grade was very pretty. He had a slim figure and didn't look that tall (without heels.) Also, despite the color, his hair was very nice. A boy with that shape and figure would look good in a dress and heels.....and he certainly did!

Look at it this way: 40 years ago I remember girls being asked why they wore tatoos and boys being asked why they had earrings. Today they do it and nobody asks or cares. So in 30 or 40 years men will wear heels and it will be accepted. Just takes time.

They are nice. I wonder who makes them?

Sorry you feel the way you do. I think you were super just to try it in 5 inch heels. Also you did totally right by wear stellettos.
I think I would have an easier time if I were in 5 inch stelletto boots than pumps...and I'm 60, too.

I'm shorter than Emma Roberts but even I wouldn't wear heels this high.

Bernheels, I'm the same way. I shave my legs once a week. I use to have them waxed at a hair salon but it got a bit expensive. If it gets too cold, I definitely wear pantyhose or tights. My legs are still the best looking part of my body!

I have about 50 pair of women's shoes, boots and (a few) sandals. In all honesty, I have more pair than most women I know.
How many pumps you have at home?

I think I had 50, but when I moved, I got rid of some of the old ones. Now I'm down to about 30
