I got a pair as well. Actualy came in last week. Thigh high red pvc with buckles and the metal thin heel. Heel seems well sturdy! Was my concern as well, but for the price it was worth the try. Heels are to high for me though. Also the pointy front is not my cup of tea after all.

Yup, me to. When i wear a miniskirt (always with heels) i do have to shave the legs. I think it looks much, much better. The feeling of freshley shaved legs in bed is very exciting to. My former and current girlfriends encourage me to shave my legs (and wear miniskirts for that matter, but thats a different story).

Hi, Ten eeste (first of all), Dont be afraid to buy in a store, or better, find stores who are used to men buying heels with them. There are quiet a few in Holland, so there is no need to be afraid. That way you can also learn the difference between cheap and expensive heels. If you need pointers, just ask, i know quiet a few (amsterdam, rotterdam, utrecht, brabant, westland). Secondly, maybe a bit harsh, but are you sure you are with the right partner? I'm sure this one has been discussed on this forum quiet a few times, but it is my opinion. And then, don't buy shoes online unless you know exactly what you are getting. Especially if you are new to heels. HTH

As Yozz said.... Stravers is a 'proper' shoeshop. Bought recently a pair of good quality boots there (approx 300 quid, where on sale for 200). Can find loads of shoeshops on the kalverstraat though. Don't expect large sizes if you need it.

I think its a absolutely beautifull skirt. The fabric is satin, and its even from Versace (versus), so it would be a great fit. And that commes from a guy who only likes miniskirts. For the rest i agree with what Tech said.

The treggings/jeggins have been in fashion overhere allready last season, though it seems this season it becomes availble for the masses. Intersting though that i read this threads title, since i wanted to start one on this subject. I was in Brussels last week, and saw some absolutely amazing boots from Guess. They where absolutely mindblowing. Needles to say, they didn't carry them in a proper size! All the realy nice stuff commes in small sizes only. For the skintight jeggings/treggings, it was sorta fashinonable for lads to wear skinny jeans, so who knows what next season brings. I have a pair or 2 in the closet

I had nails done here in holland 2 months back. It was for a 4 day party weekend in germany, and since i had nails before, i wanted them again for the weekend. I soon found it was a major PITA to find a salon who wants to do them on a man. They where all suddenly booked full. (yeah right) So what i did was go onto a dutch internet discussion forum about nails, and put the question up there. Finally found someone who was really thrilled to put on some acrylics on a dude. Went there (long drive) with me gf. She was still practicing, hence the result, but i was overall please with them. I had so many women inspecting them and giving a lot of positive feedback. I wear them in male mode. Pictures is a bit green, but the nails where bright white with pink. I loved them, and me sheila was jealous

Forgive my ignorance, devab, but can you (or anyone else) tell me whether a sniping prog can do anything that a bidder cannot do in person 'live' at the last minute? Presumably, you still have to set a max bid and all the prog does is to attempt to place it at the last minute? (I'm not challenging the technique of anyone here, only asking how a sniping prog works.)

It does. However,

You might have different biddings going on, and you might not be able to be there at the right time.

Also, the sniper does not have to wait for pages to load, so you could set it to 3 secs, or even 1 sec for auction end. I have lost a lot of auctions because of a slow loading page, or a 'are you sure' -page.

I use myibay which is free, and runs on your local PC.

Winning an auction on Ebay is not so much on how much money you bid, but more on the tactics you use. I recomend a few things: - Read auction good....VERY good. - Use an auction sniper program. - Think REALY good about how much you wanna pay max for the item (hardest part). - NEVER bid days or hours before auction end. About 50% of my high heeled boots and shoes are platforms. I like platforms, but they have to be an small addition to the shoe. The proportions must be right (if you look at my avatar, you also see boots which are out of proportion). Thats why i dont like anything higher then 2~2,5 inch for a plaform. If they get any higher, i think the platforms is to much of a distraction from the whole look; it looks like a carnaval instead of a sexy shoe. Luckily we all like different things. Enrico, If you wanna blend in, then i'd say spend a morning in a shoppingcentre, see what kind of boots woman are wearing. Or even better, go around shops and buy something YOU like. Rotterdam town centre is a good place i suppose. I'm not to often in the towncentre, but went there last week, and was amazed how many proper stilleto thigh high boots where worn out in the open. Then also bring a visit to sillhouette, they have common style boots in large sizes (if needed). I'm sure you know the shop. If you wanna take it a step further, you can visit the hogehakken.nl shop in numansdorp (for me litterly a crawl away), they got plenty boots and shoes.
