  1. After revealing my need for heels and the desire to wear them in public to the boy friend, I was mildly surprised by the support and encouragement to start wearing more of my heels in public. Of course, the shock value has to be taken into consideration. I built some courage up today and wore my new 5" ankle boots out with Jeans and went to a scheduled Dr. appointment. Sure I got some looks while waiting in the lobby for the appointment but it wasn't as bad as one may have thought. When time came for seeing the Dr. she walked in, observed the heels and simple said - 'my diagnosis is that the are a good fit for you and look good'. If only these appointments could go this good. 2. Max: Thanks for a good lengthy story of your first time! What a thriller! For those of us that have had this same first, reading about others first time out in heels is a great affirmation that we are being true to ourselves. Thanks Again. PaulJenne'

  3. Jim: Thanks for taking the time to share the information with me. I LOVE YOUR SITE! Don't mean to yell but wanted to emphasize that you have sparked an interest for me with Ballet Heels that I didn't think that I had. The Idea of the Pony and Ballet Shoes has got me going into new directions and partly due to you. So Thanks. Do Stay in touch. PaulJenne'

  4. When I'm out in my heels or boots, I'm not really looking for reactions. I do get them and usually ignore them unless they are positive. I simple take the attitude that men wearing heels in public is more common place than they think and it just bolsters the desire to continue expanding the collection of heeled shoes that I wear in public.

  5. I'm a newbie to wearing heels out in public. I live close to a 'tire' store where testosterone flows about as freely as the air that fills the tires. Last week, I wore my heels out and for the first time decided to walk buy the tire store on the way to an appointment. Needless to say, I got looks and a few comments. To spite them on the way back home, I walked right back the way I came. This time no comments just a few looks. Well, the next day I did the same thing. However, this time with a pair of boots that had a little higher heel. The comment this time was ' nice boots - do we get to see the rest of the collection '. I smile, and walked on knowning now that the 'boys' liked what they saw and perhaps were a little jealous!. Jenne'

  6. I think it goes back to what we have to fear most is fear itself. Below is a case in point. I just recently made a commitment to myself to where my heeled boots in public every opportunity that I got. I made a substantial investment in 5 pair of heeled boots ranging in heights of 2.5 - 4.0 inch in the heel. Most are black but I wanted some variety and did get a pair of brown boots to wear. I've now gone 30 days striaght in wearing heeled wear in public! Last evening a friend took me to a Holiday concert. He was aware that I have a 'thing' for womens boots and shoes but never asked about me wearing them in public. Needless to say, when he showed up last evening to go to the concert, here I was in new textured twill pants and my 4 inch thick heeled black womens boots! One look at me, he smiled broadly and said that I looked fantastic. Lets' go honey, grabbed my hand and said - it is about time you did this! It was one great holiday concert and even more so that my fear of being with a friend in public while wearing my heels had been overcome! Jenne'
