  1. My other half allows me to wear my low heeled riding or equestrian styled boots out in public but draws the line at my 3 and 4 inch stiletto heels. Can anyone make any recommendations for a wedge heeled boot which I can wear out that would not be obvious that I am wearing them. I am a size 13-14US= 44-45 Euro Thanks in advance

  2. Hi All, Marnie M posted on the Vogue Australia forum about a purchase of ballet heels. It envoked a lot of postive discussion, however Vogue deemed it fit to remove the topic. Talk about prudish. There was nothing offensive about it and it was all in good fun, but Vogue chose to remove it. pity, it made for interesting reading :wink::oops:

  3. Thanks for all your advise, will definately try thick socks. It is not actually the pain in the toes that the problem, it is the balance. I guess practise practise practise as someone mentioned is the key. Thanks heaps all Once I get it sorted maybe i video my efforts :D:cry::o

  4. Hi All, I have owned a pair of devious ballet boots now for about 3 months. Apart from the occasional few steps, I cannot seem to walk without a huge amount of effort. Anyone give me some tips on how to walk in ballet boots. I would really like to walk around the house, but keep falling over :D:cry: There must be some secret to it as I have seen many clips where people walk perfectly in them.

  5. No the way I have done it. Instead of looping it around the quicklace hook from the bottom to the top and onto the next hook. I have gone to the top of the loop, looped round to the bottom and then up onto the next hook. The tension of the laces coming from the hook underneath and loop from the hook on the other side (criss cross fashion) makes it so that the lace stays in place firmly. Once i source a digi camera I will try to d/l a pic onto the forum Roo

  6. Hi All,

must replacement ballets arrrived yesterday. there were no knee highs in my size left so went for thigh highs for a few extra $$

Hopefully these won't break on me. I actually think the heel is sturdier so I think the knee high ones were definately faulty.

Any tips on lacing these things up without the lacings falling off once you unzip them ???

Any tips on how to start walking would be great too.

if anyone in Australia is looking for ballets, boots and other footwear.

  7. Hi, I have just purchased a pair of Pleaser 3020 leather laceup thigh high ballets. Quality is good. I broke a heel on my last pair of knee highs and these are good replacement. Be prepared to spend some time lacing them up though, they do take a while and be prepared to help her lace them. Much easier if someone does it

  8. That would just be cruel, ironic, but cruel.

It was mentioned in an email that they are not intended for walking. Pity I enjoy a challenge :-)

Maybe they will to be used for extracurricular activities only :D:wink::wink:

The store has been excellent and will be trying hard to get them replaced. More comments on this forum I see, the more I figure that they were defective. They have a small plastic lug molded into the boot sole and goes into the heel. This seems to have given way. Possibly poor material quality was to blame.

Anyhow I now have to wait for them to get back to the other side of Australia, evaluated, reordered from the US and sent back.

  9. Hi All, Just to let you know that my Devious 2020's arrived today. After about 20 mins of sorting out the laces and zips (strange setup- you were right). I stood upright, supported by a wall. Took about 6 steps and the left heel parted from the sole at the rear. Does anyone else have ballet 2020's and have they had this problem. I am hoping that this pair was defective, perhaps damaged in transit. does anyone else have 2020's and are able to walk in them without them breaking. contacted the online shop and he will try to get them replaced. Feel free to message me with your thoughts Rubberroo

  10. Thanks all for the suggestions. I have seen those styles that were recommended, however not sure whether they will fit under jeans or pants I really like the equestrian or riding style knee high with side zips and low heel but have been unable to find they anywhere in the world on line that have my size. I did try a 10.5F in a shop (a few strange looks came my way !!) but they were just too small to be comfortable in. Roo

  11. I want to wear KH boots in public ( probably under jeans), but my partner is against the idea. she tolerates 1 inch block heel under jeans. Any ideas on how I can bring here around for me to wear something higher would be appreciated. Any ideas of style/heel size and type would be great. Point me in the right direction with personal websites or commercial pages. Thanks to knee high who pointed me to this forum
