Steph, Thanks, I like the patent pigalle as very stunning to wear but I cannot wear them for long, unlike Kate Moss who you regularly see wearing them. I have to say I think most CL are not as nice recently and are vastly overpriced. There are a lot of other shoe designers out their producing some much nicer shoes for a fraction of the price of CLs. I think he has become too commercial. Having said that I've just been a bit silly and splashed out in the sales on a pair of these Burberry OTK boots, I just could not resist them, although don't know what to wear with them yet!

Luiza, They are once you've worn them in a bit as the toe area stretches a bit, but need to ensure tight on the heel, otherwise they would easily come off.

Holly, Welcome, thanks the ones on the end are by Gianmarco Lorenzi. I got them because I loved the rather unique metal heel. I have added a couple of more pictures now with some new shoes, what do you think of these? The ones in the middle are Louboutin Pigalle's with 5" heels, they took some getting used to be able to walk in them, but make my legs look very sexy - got some great looks when I went out wearing them!

I would say 3" I can wear all day 4" I can wear for a few hours, particularly if they have good ankle support 4.5" for a couple of hours, but less for really strappy sandals.

I wouldn't touch any of these companies. Firstly the quality is usually rubbish. Secondly I would worry about the conditions the shoes are made in, sometimes it is almost slave labour, including children, which is why they are so cheap. In addition with a lot of these things it is run by criminal gangs who fund the drugs trade or worse. Sorry but that is the world we live in. Whilst designer prices are over the top, I would try and find a middle of the road equivalent from a reliable company rather than buying a cheap rip off.

WoW some of you guys really like your boots! I am a girl and I only have 6 pairs! not that I don't ike boots its just that is all I seem to need. 3 pairs of riding style boots (2 Brown , 1 black) 1 pair of of black patent knee high with 3" heels 1 pair of Gucci over the knee boots in metallic grey velvet with 4" heels 1 pair of Emilio Pucci blue leather thigh boots with 4" heels

I think the sexiest pair of heels I have are these Gucci sandals with the mother of pearl inlay on the heels and toes. My hushand gave them to me as gift before we went to watch the ballet. They have long grossgrain ties that wrap around the leg. I wore them with a very long black velvet dress. The other choice would be a pair of Gucci over the knee grey velvet boots with 4" heels.

As a new member thought I'd share with you some of my shoe collection. The Emilio Pucci shoes are the newest and I have only worn them in the house so far, waiting for a suitable event to wear them to, plus I've still got to find a dress to go with them, unless I wear my black Herve Leger dress (but a new pair of shoes is always a good excuse to get a new outfit). I particularly like the Manolo Blahnik's as he is my favourite designer. I love them all as they remind me of specific evenings out or events. Which would be your favourite and why?

How many husbands or partners are out there who buy their girls/ladies shoes like that! They look wondeful on you. I have to say I am also one of those lucky ones, as my husband frequently buys me lovely shoes and dresses. He has a real eye for those that are really stunning and fit!

Without question it is Manolo Blahnik. My husband bought me my first pair and despite having high heels they are so well crafted that they are a joy to wear. I also liked the Gucci shoes produced when Tom Ford was in charge, I have a lovely pair of sandals with grossgrain straps and mother-of-pearl inlay on the toes and heels.

How do you walk in them, aren't they rather heavy?
