  1. I have found some GORGEOUS shoes on there, can anyone vouch that they are reputible?

I've bought from BSB with success, they were delivered very quickly. They are a part of Barratts, so I'd expect good after sales service, but I haven't needed to use it myself.

I'm a UK 11 and the pair of 11s I bought are slightly large, maybe half a size or so. However, there are a lot of comments on the site about shoes coming small, especially the Saints of Fashion range. The ones I bought are from the Sherbert range.

  2. By the way the block heel court shoes they are selling are also great and seem true to size. i have a pair in black lace (which are beautiful and look far more expensive than their £17 price tag) and a pair in black suede, they are very comfortable and smart

That's good to know, I was looking at them as well. I'm glad I made an account. :)

  3. Great story, I'd still be terrified to open the door in my heels.

    The boots I'm wearing today:

    http://www.bananashoes.com/popup_image.php?type=D&id=1052&title=Pleaser%20Shoes%20Seduce%202016&area=C

I'd prefer these boots without the metal studs but I have hunted for a pair like this and not found any. I love this classic boot design and they are lined so your legs stay warm in them, unlike the stretch boots.

I have a pair of Pleaser Seduce 2000 which are available in patent without the studs. They aren't lined, but they are the same shape as those ones. I got mine at Alternative Footware if it helps, but I'd be surprised if Banana Shoes don't have them too.

  4. Those are great looking boots. I would wear those to work and they look so comfortable.

They are very comfortable, especially with insoles or party feet. I really think I've found some heels I could spend all day on my feet in. :)

Be warned though! According to barney15c in my Big Shoe Boutique thread on the pay sites forum, BSB have been known to run very small on some shoes. However, the pair I got are actually a little large.

  5. They look fantastic, I love block heels and a round toe! The knee high version looks even better but the ankle ones are very cute.

I think it was the "cute" factor that got me interested in the first place, they stood out on the search page so much that I just had to click through.

Having walked in them a bit more now, I can report my feet tend to slip into the toes. I may have been able to get away with size 10s, but these are a comfortable width, so maybe not.

Looks like I'll be getting another pair of party feet, which I can't recommend highly enough, if anybody has any doubts about them.

  6. Hi Everyone,

It's been a long time since I last posted, but I've not been doing much special that warranted a posting. However all that changed at the weekend.

I saw these ankle boots a while ago on Big Shoe Boutique and fell instantly in lust with them. :) However, due to my weird feet (I have one foot that's a UK 8.5 and the other that's a 10.5) I wanted to try them on first.

I wondered for a while how I was going to get to try a pair on, but every time I thought about it, I came to the same conclusion; I'd have to order them in to collect in store, there was no way any shop would have them in stock, on shelves, in a size 10 or 11. I didn't feel up to that at this stage in my heeling adventures.

Last weekend I decided that for the price I could afford to be wrong, and to just go for it and buy a pair of 11s. They arrived today. Well, actually they arrived yesterday when I was at work and I picked them up from the depot today, but same difference. :)

I got home and tried them on and they fit really well, very comfortable, maybe even large by half a size or so. I've currently got them on with some sole inserts and they're nice and snug.

I've been wearing my Pleaser Seduce boots (5" stiletto heels) most of the time recently, so the smaller heel size and block heels make the new ones so simple to walk in. I'm sure I could last all day if I could get the courage together to wear them out and about. :silly:

Anyway, I've now got my first pair of "mainstream" heels, i.e. not "stripper" heels and I'm loving them!

Now, there's also a knee high version of these on BSB, and I'm very, very tempted...

    Have a fun weekend everybody,

  7. Checked out the other styles on that site, they sure have really unique designs and some really bizarre shoes, too. I see a couple of pairs there that would be kind of fun to own, but the steep prices would keep me from doing it. Very cool site though.

I found the Eamz and Lo Res styles on Javari and just had to track down the makers. Pity they don't go to my size, I'd love to try quite a few of those styles.
  8. I would really like to get just one pair of heel-less shoes, either the punitive pony boots (almost ballet boots), or even something similar to the cantelever style shoes/boots also discussed here. I think they would be fun just to try out, since I have never seen anything like them in person (have only seen them on the web). But, they are always ridiculously priced, so I probably won't ever own a pair, and they dont necessarily look all that sexy either, just really interesting/fascinating to me.

I know what you mean, I've always wondered what these heels are like to wear. Unfortunately, they don't go anywhere near my size that I can find. :D
  9. Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I posted, the weather here has affected my heeling outside and I've not really done anything worth telling you about. Until last weekend that is.

My girlfriend and I finally went on that shopping expedition we planned in November. We had a quiet weekend together and decided it would be nice to take a trip and have a shop. I made sure to ring a few days early to make sure the style I was interested in was available in my size.

The shop I go to is an hour's drive away from where I live and I was quite nervous when we got there, but we went in and had the place to ourselves for most of the hour we were there.

The boots I had set aside fitted quite well and felt great. They're Pleaser Indulge knee-length boots. I spent a good 20 minutes in them following my girlfriend around as she tried to find something she wanted and my feet didn't feel sore, so I knew I was on to a winner.

Then we had a fun time trying on shoes. I was trying to see what I could get away with walking in and she was looking for something to go out in.

I went through most of the shoes they had in my size, which wasn't many since I take a UK 11. The highest heel rise I tried were 6" and I could stand and walk in them! I finished up by trying on a pair of Xtreme platform mules which I could walk in, although a bit unsteadily, but they are an 8" heel and a 4" platform!

I bought the pair of Indulge and we got a lovely red pair of open toe shoes for my girlfriend, which I think are from The Little Shoe Box, but I can't find a picture online.

Anyway, we had a great time and I finally got my second pair of heels, I hope everybody had as much fun.

  10. Thanks for the good wishes everybody.

She really sounds like a keeper!

She's a "keeper" for many more reasons than this one. We've been together for a few years now and we're not going anywhere without each other.

Does she know about the HHP forum? If so, would she mind posting a comment about how she felt and about her concerns for your heeling

If she knows about HHP it's not because I've told her. I don't think I'd feel comfortable asking her to post here about topics like that.

And, never, ever let her get the idea that you like high heels more than you like her.

Not going to happen; it's pretty much impossible for me to like anything more than I love her.

I'm very pleased for you, trust me the first time you are actually in a shop and you buy a pair together is a wonderful experience. A true moment of acceptance

That's something I'm really looking forward to, it's just a case of organising it.

  11. Hi Everybody, I passed another milestone this weekend and wore my boots in front of my girlfriend. Now this wasn't such a shock to her since I'd told her of my curiosity quite a while ago, in fact it was her enthusiastic response that gave me the courage to try heels on for the first time. I'd also spoken to her that first day and told her of my adventure, so she knew it wasn't just an idle thought. However, we had discussed it a couple of times after that and she never seemed fully convinced, so when I bought my heels I didn't tell her. I didn't want to hide things from her, but the purchase had been a spur of the moment thing that I later regretted not doing with her present. We'd discussed visiting the shop together and I didn't want her to feel like I'd deliberately gone behind her back. Then every time we met up, there was always something in the way, family, friends, a special event that I didn't want to spoil. You see, I wanted to show her the boots, not just tell her about them and there may have been questions from other people that I wasn't ready to answer. Then this weekend we had a quiet time together and I announced that I'd been a bit naughty and bought some boots. She instantly asked if they were high heeled ones and after I said yes, she told me she wanted to see me wear them. So I went upstairs and put my boots on. She called up that the zippers sounded quite long and had I bought thigh high boots. I just walked down and stood in front of her. I was so relieved when she said she liked them, she was amazed at how much taller I was so she asked to try them on. Well, one thing led to another and we ended up having a very nice evening eating dinner and looking at heels online together. We've resolved to go heel shopping together sometime soon and I must say, I can't wait. I don't know if we'll ever go out anywhere but a shoe shop together while wearing heels, but we can at least share the experience in private now. Hope everybody else had as good a weekend. 12. I'm sorry, but does anyone else get the impression for HC's story that it's a fetishistic entity?

I'm also interested why you think my story is "fetishistic"?

It's just an account of the event with a few descriptions, perhaps the language it a bit more colourful than a simple "I walked down the street" tale, but there's nothing intended to titillate or arouse in there.

Unless you just really like my writing style of course.

Seriously though, I'm still quite new here and don't want to upset anybody, so if I have to tone down my writing style, I'll do so, just let me know.

  13. Hi well done on your adventure. What kind of heels had you on?

Hi, thanks for the good wishes.

I've only got the single pair of below the knee boots with a 3.75" stiletto heel so far. I'm thinking of getting more pairs since these are a little thin for my feet.

  14. Way to go! We'll have you out shopping in busy Malls yet!

Well, that may take a while yet, but hopefully someday I'll be seen and mean to be seen.

You probably brightened his nightly routine.

I hope so. More likely, he's one of the guys in that study and didn't notice at all. :(

Well, I've just got back from my evening walk and I did three laps without seeing anybody or, as far as I know, being seen. I was pretty cautious going past the guy's house though. I needn't have worried, there wasn't even a light on.

Now I wonder when I'll be able to do four laps.

  15. Hi All, Another long gap between updates. Sorry about that - I've been really busy lately, but I had to tell you all about last night. However, I'll first have to set the scene. I've been increasing the length of my midnight walks to the point a week or so ago where I did a complete circuit of the block in my estate. It was such a thrill since before this I'd only made it about half way round and turned back, taking the more secluded return route to my door. This time, I just carried on and walked along the main entrance road to the estate. The circuit only took about four minutes, but my heart was pumping like I'd run a mile. A car passed me, but the driver couldn't have seen much due to the speed it was going. The next night, I decided to do the same and set off with a purpose, but on returning to my street decided on the spur of the moment to go for two laps. This was great, I was building my confidence and my endurance, this being the longest I'd been on my feet in heels in one go. So every night after that I did two laps until last night when I decided to go for three. I'd decided this before I finished the first lap, so just carried on at full speed. My first two circuits had passed without any event, not seeing any people or cars. This is pretty typical, my estate is a quiet one and at that time of night it's rare to see a light on, never mind someone awake. However, last night I got to the half way point of the circuit and spotted someone having a pre-sleep cigarette, leaning on his fence. He'd have surely heard me since my heels were pretty loud in the deserted street. I had a moment of indecision, should I turn back before he'd got a good look? Or should I carry on and not draw attention to myself by acting nervous? I was quite close to him since I'd been walking quickly and spotted him pretty late. I didn't know the guy and I had to assume he didn't know me. He must have seen me of course, there was nothing else moving, so I decided on the bolder course of action and carried on, all be it with my head slightly down. My pace had faltered only slightly, but I did find myself pulling my jeans lower so they'd cover my heels a bit more. I waited for "the shout" as I walked away from him towards the main road, but nothing came. As I got back to my house, I was actually shaking and found it a bit of a task to unlock the door. I'll be going out again tonight, but I'll be keeping a closer eye on this particular fence before I blithely walk past again. 16. A study at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England finds that most men cannot tell the difference between women who are and aren't wearing high heels.

That's absolute rubbish. I can tell from across the park outside my office window, even when their feet are hidden behind the wall.

There's a posture and a gait that just screams "high heels". You can usually tell if they're wearing heels too high for themselves or if they're comfortable in their shoes too.

As for when I'm walking on the street and there's women with heels on, I find it difficult to take my eyes off their shoes. :)

  17. Is that the optional upgrade from just plain packaging, you can upgrade to VERY plain packaging? lol :)

Yeah, I had to pay extra for that. :)

Seriously, they came in a standard Parcel Force bag containing a plain white box. The bag's label had "From: AF UK Limited" and their address and that's it!

I was nervous when I went to collect them, being my first pair and all, but it turned out to be plain packaging and not a problem at all.
