Now for what I've bought......

About Every Pair Fye Boots out there and then some!

I think I'm up to around 15 to 20 pairs of them, at least 12 of them knee high and only 1 pair witha 2" heel or smaller most are 4'' heels!

The big plus is the wife loves them on me and that is a huge plus!

Also I have lost 30 pounds in the last month and a half with another 100 togo!

But I going to bet having Diabetes and get back under 200 by summer next year so we can go to Hawaii for our 10th Anniversary!!

But I got my first pair of OVER-THE-KNEE Boots Today!

They are Bronx "Zen And Now Boot" in Size 11m!

They are super soft and very comfortable!

I can't wait till we go to the Mall this weekend!

Almost forgot to tell ya!

My most recent purchase was a pair of black Frye over-the-knee (kind of) boots about 2 weeks ago. I wore them out tucked into jeans the following weekend. They are pretty awesome.

Unfortunately, they are at the shoe repair shop as the zipper of the left boot is showing signs of slight wear at the tension point near the ankle. The shoe repair professional said that the type of repair is becoming more common as manufacturers are focusing less on craftsmanship. I'm not going to criticize Frye as their craftsmanship is amazing...my other Frye's are about a year old and still look brand new even after streaks of daily wear last winter and spring. Nonetheless it was an interesting observation on her part.

I just had a similar problem with the a zipper on my Black Frye Matilda Button boots!

I filled out a form sent them to them and 3 weeks later they came home with a brand new zipper and no charge!

They also have very reasonable repair costs for there older product that are out of warranty.

Well the wife and I just got back from Kansas City and we went boot and shoe shopping at the Mall there that has the Aldo store at it and our only Nordstroms in Kansas!

Nordstroms had some great sales but I we find a pair of anything in a size 11 (for me) or a size 6.5 or 7 for her that we liked!

So I said lets head on down and try Aldo's and our Store has none of the New Seasons boots or any of the last years one either!

I told the wife we will have to take a road trip in a month or so go up to the Mall of America and do some serious shopping then after all the New fall Boots come out!

I figured that our Aldo's would be like that as are all of the other stores here they just don't carry any of the newest and best products!

All part of the curse of living in the Land Of OZ!

Just back from the Aldo store...

I tried the "Noren" boots in brown and they fit like a glove !

- They are knee high with a short sipper at the ankle

- The heel is thin and high (at least 4") with no platform and rounded toe box

- The shaft is snug fit (I was wearing skinny jeans)

(I prefer snug fit for the look and feel...)

*** Let me tell you they are amazing to wear ! ***

So I went to order them in black but guess what ?

They are not available in black yet !

Maybe in a week or two ...

Ok So I was Right!!!

Now Go Back and Buy The Brown!

You need a Brown Pair!

You deserve a brown Pair!

You Want a Brown Pair!

Then In a few weeks you can always get the Black ones!

I'm going to check our Closest Aldo's Tomorrow When I Go to Kansas City!

And you still need to get a pair like the ones I bought!

No My Favorites are my Frye's western Boots! I have 8 pairs of them and they range in Heels from 1.5" to for 4".

Most of them are 3.5" Heels I will have to get some pictures soon of them all for you all!

Note that I don't think these boots are OTK. They might be just below the knee.

(In fact, I never saw any OTK high heel boots from Aldo until now)

ALDO has some *very* nice offerings. Wish their sizes didn't end at 11! (Just one more, guys -- just one size more!)

I'M quite fortunate in the sense I'm a Size 10m but I usual get the 11m's so I don't have to stretch the toe boxes out! I know there has got to be a lot of you guy's here that would kill to have smaller feet and be able to buy shoes off the rack! I the good thing is that most women's feet as a whole have bee get larger as they get taller so size 12's right around the corner!

I LOVE those! Personally I would prefer a little stiletto or kitten heel - but they look wonderful as they are. The short toe-point is just gorgeous.

I think that suede boots have a certain 'cuddly' quality that makes them uniquely girly (is that what you're looking for....??) - and I bet they will look just fab on!!

Now I prefer the bigger chunky heels myself! But I LOVE That short toe box look also! As far as the Suede goes my Frye Fiona lace up knee high are Chocolate suede and I love wearing them out with the wife! I LOVE the 2 tone Suede on these and can't wait! as far as "Girly" oh I don't mind in the sense if any one asks I just answer No they are my Boots and laugh!

like I've said earlier once you've been on stage in nothing but Zebra Sandex in front of 10000 or 15000 people playing Bass there isn't much that can intimidate me any more!

There is a gender equality philosophy of the fashion freestyler.Wear "female" stuff but as a guy and compare to other guys.So I wear skirts,tops,heels and so on and never try to look like a woman or compare to one.Hens compare to hens and roosters to roosters...

But alas at size 44:unsure: waist and at 48:unsure: i'm doing good to walk in 3.5" heels in my Fryes!

But don't give in I'm all for the day when any one can wear what they want to with out being mocked for it!

Same with my husband - and he looked (and still does look) fantastic. However, when we dated he wore men's shoes.

I have nothing against men wearing heels (quite obviously), however the heels were not the main attraction - more an accessory. It was his flamboyance (and confidence with it), artistic ablities and his mature, gentle nature that got my attention.

That, and many other personal qualities which stood him head and shoulders above all the other guys I had met up until then.

The funny part is that when I met my wife she never knew that I played in a band other than at church!

My wife likes the way the heels make me (and so do I) taller but neither of us want me wearing feminine looking pumps, shoes, or boots.
