  1. I too have found Nine West stores to be great places for men to try on and buy heels. I have been to 2 different locations and found the female sales associates to be very nice and helpful. I have shopped with one sales associate twice, and the first time I wore the heels I bought right out of the store. She and the manager were very much in agreement that I should do so and seemed pleased that I did. The second time I shopped with her, she commented on how pretty my toe nails were (after a pedicure.) She even pulled off one of her shoes to compare nails and later told the manager that I had the prettiest toes she had ever seen! She then brought out multiple pairs of sandals for me to try on. I sent a comment card in to their corporate office to commend those 2 stores on such great service. I love Nine West shoes!

  2. I have worn heels to work in settings where I meet with employees at a conference table. I did wear a pair of loafers with 2-inch heels in an office where I walked around quite a bit on hard floors making it rather obvious that I was wearing heels. In another office I wore a pair of mules with 2-inch block heels and got some looks of disbelief. With each time that I wear heels at work, I try to get more daring with the shoes I wear. I currently own nearly 60 pairs of women's shoes.

  3. I have been wearing heels and such for more than 25 years now, but just in the past 1.5 to 2 years have I started to try on heels in stores before buying them. I always wear a nice pair of heels into the stores so that the sales associates know that I'm serious. I have had wonderful shopping experiences in 2 different Nine West stores, but I was extremely nervous the first time I went into these stores and asked to try on heels. Sales associates at both stores have been terrific and made me feel very comfortable with trying on shoes. In one of the NW stores I shopped in recently the sales associate who helped me was working her very first day there, and she performed as if she had been helping men try on heels for years. I tried on some sandals, and she actually told me I had the prettiest toes she had ever seen (I had just been to get a pedicure a few days before.) She pulled off one of her hot heels to compare. She even commented later to the manager about how pretty my toes were. She also must have brought out at least a dozen different pairs for me to try on. I went back last week and shopped with her, and again she told me how pretty my toes were. I felt so comfortable shopping with her that it really didn't bother me at all when other customers came in and saw me trying on heels. I have also found a very nice sales associate in the women's shoe department at Belk's who has been terrific with me trying on heels. With the second pair that I bought from her (Anne Klein maryjanes) she actually encouraged me to just wear them right out of the store. So, I did just that. I have actually done that now 3 different times. Going shoe shopping and trying on heels is such a thrill!

  4. I used to always take my new shoes home to try them on, but within the past 18 to 24 months I have actually started trying on shoes (sometimes) right there in the store. Kohl's is a good place to try on shoes....just last week I tried on a pair of Nine West pumps right there in the shoe department and pranced around in front of a mirror to check out the shoes. I have tried on many pairs in Kohl's. I also tried on shoes in a Nine West store recently. The young female sales associate was very nice about it and helped me try on several pairs of heels. She even gave me advice on how the shoes would look best on me...without hose and with longer boot cut jeans. The sales associate invited me to come back anytime to shop for more shoes, and I am planning a trip to a closer NW store soon. I have also tried on heels in a Liz Claiborne outlet store. I have also gone into department stores intending to try on heels there in the shoe department, but the few female sales associates I encountered in those stores didn't even acknowledge that I was there. I'm now trying to get to the point where I am comfortable enough to try on some shoes and then actually wear them right out of the store.

  5. I have posted here before, but it has been a while. So, I thought I should say hello again. I'm a straight guy who has been wearing and enjoying ladies shoes now for nearly 25 years here in the SE USA. But, it has been just within the past 18 to 24 months that I have started regularly wearing them out in public without regard to where or how many people might be around. I have even started wearing heels into local shoe stores to try on new shoes with the help of female sales associates. I recently received great service from a nice young gal at a Nine West store. What a great experience that was! While I will always prefer to observe an attractive woman wearing heels, there is something about slipping on a pair of sexy shoes that I just can't put into words. My desire to be in heels seems to strengthen every day. I currently own more than 40 pairs of ladies shoes including sandals, mules, pumps, slings, loafers, high heels, boots and sneakers. I have pictures to share with those who would be interested, and I'd love to correspond with the ladies in particular to hear their perspectives. Thanks, Kathie V.
