1. It's not so much the fact that they are intrusive questions as that you have asked them on post 1. When might we look forward to you revealing something about yourself?

Look for a newspaper story on this in a few weeks. Or college paper. I'm sure this is a survey for some research.

  2. There was (is?) a store in Kitchener, Main street, where I used to go. The only place where I was able to go to the back and try on something. Great store. Miss it... If anyone is in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, highly recommend that store (assuming it's still there). Where is this store? hades

  3. Bought quite a few at Shoe Warehouse here in Canada. They have a lot of size 10-11 on clearance. Over XMas everything was 50% off, beautiful boots, original price 150$ clearance 50$, 50% off sale = 25$. They have a similar sale now as well, bought a few things. For 15-20$, I can't resist. I'm usually happy with size 10. hades

  4. The clip on The View didn't impress me. They just, for the most part, took guys who were wearing what they did, and put them in skirts - no bothering to coordinate a look for them that would be worn well or anything. I think they were trying to brush it off as a negative thing and didn't put it forth as a positive change in men's attitudes about wearing skirts.

You should send this, as is, to the View...

  5. Also in the Greater Vancouver Region. Although have a few pairs for home use, have not ventured outside in them in 8 years as my wife does not support that idea. Recently have wanted to go outside again, and have bought something for that purpose. Have ventured outside discreetly yesterday for 5 minutes, and today for 30 minutes. These were in isolated places. Would be happy to meet someone(s). The support would be appreciated. Would have to be during the day on a weekday, as family obligations demand my attention in the evenings & weekends. hades

  6. Took the courage to go outside for a 20 minute walk in my 5"heel/1"platform boots. Was beautiful outside, everything covered in snow. Anyway, was thinking about stuff, how, at that moment, I could not care less who saw me... Anyway, the I realized that there has to be a connection between my self-confidence and heel wearing. I'm usually a reserved person, who does not really like to be the center of attention. That's probabaly my biggest block against wearing the heels I want outside. I do not like attention and hence I'm really self-conscious. If I build up some major self confidence, then I should be able to wear heels outside properly AND be also a better man because I can get used to attention and be a better public speaker/manager/etc when the time comes. Could you please answer the following question: Are you one of these types? - Reserved, does not like attention [and hence afraid to go outside in heels] - Outgoing, self-confident, no problems making speeches, presentations... [and hence no problems wearing heels outside]. Mainly, is there a relationship between heel-wearers wearing heels and their self-confidence level which also impacts the way we work, present, etc? I'm more type 1, but trying to slowly make a transition to type 2.

  7. terayon: I'm also in Canada. Kitchener, Ontario in fact. I've been outside a few times when I have the courage, gone shopping once or twice... If you wish to chat, e-mail me or give me a shout through Messenger [they're both the same address]. I might be able to give you some reactions I've gotten [or not gotten]. Let me know! Equadox: I went shopping for some long pants, I regularly wear 34" length and practically the longest they sell here is 36", which is hardly any different, so I bought the longest I could find and made some modifications myself, not the greatest, but it does the job. I've experimented with all kinds of stupid ideas, but modifying pants was the easiest and best solution I found... hades [ This Message was edited by: hades on 2002-02-24 20:09 ]

  8. There is only one store I feel comfortable trying on stuff. But all the stores I shop at have good return policies, hence I'm not too afraid that I'll waste my money. There is only one shoe I bought which I couldn't return [was bought as a 'final purchas'], that didn't fit well, but was only $10CAD so I'm not overly upset. hades
