  1. A definite no. I typically wear heels when i socialize, go out for dinner, etc. I like being able to wear tennis shoes and have long walks with my family. Wearing heels to a sandy playground with my 2yr old, or chasing him around the house in heels just doesn't work

  2. It's hard to find heels in such small sizes...that you can actually try on before buying. It's a real pain having to buy online without knowing just how well the shoes fit. I have relatively small feet myself although not quite as small as yours. My husband's godsister (i suppose that's what how you would term the relationship) is about 4 feet 9 inches (at most i think). She is extremely short and has the small feet to go along with it. Like yourself, she only shops in the children's department. Anything unusual or stylish has to be special ordered online. I don't believe i've ever seen her wear anything above 2 inches though and I wasn't even aware it was possible to buy stiletto pumps in those sizes.

  3. I never wear heels at home except for when my SO asks. It's never less than 4 inches and i always take them off after it's all "over". At home, it's strictly for "play" and they are ONLY used for play. I never wear these outside of the house to keep them clean. Why? It took me a lot of nagging to convince him to agree to an expensive carpet and padding upgrade. $10,000+ more than the basic carpeting. Stilettos tend to do permanent damage to padding over time and the feel of lush carpeting on bare feet....just heavenly. I also don't allow guests to wear shoes in my house. It's either bare feet, socks/stockings, or guest slippers i always have by the door.

  4. hello, Franie, would you explain this please?

For me a compliment from a woman would count 100 times more than one from a man- not because I do not care about what men think but because I know for them it is very often simply about erotic and they probably do not even notice the whole statement. If a woman says me she likes my shoes or my style or my outfit, I know it is REALLY about my shoes, my style or my outfit.

Is what you wrote kind of affirmation of your feminity? or something else?

I hope my question is not too unpolite or too direct, - my appologizes then, but I´d really like to know.

Can you imagine the comments she might get as an amputee wearing 5 inch heels? We women can be real bitches sometimes. I'm no saint (I have a temper) and i regret some things i've said and done before, especially to some nice guys who pursued me.

On what she said though, I think she means that she doesn't give a damn about the 'slut' comments or other derogatory things from other women and that she's doing it for the admiring glances of the men.

Nothing wrong with this really. We've all done this before. I always used to get dolled up for clubbing when i was younger :)

  5. I don't think it really matters. If it looks like a wedding ring, then it's probably a wedding ring. We have matching platinum rings. They are just rings with no ornamentation. His is larger, mine's is smaller. He wears his on the left hand and i wear mines on my right hand, middle finger because it no longer fits on my ring finger. I need to lose some weight....

  6. Heels and jeans go well together but i normally either wear kneehigh nylons with pumps and boots, or bare with strappy heels. If it's cold, i wear this kind of thermal underwear that's a mesh of cotton and spandex. It is skintight and warmer than hose. No one in the US apparently uses it because i can't find it anywhere. I usually have to get it shipped from China.

  7. I didn't vote. I think feet that are too small or too large don't look as attractive as a more neutral size. The heels should look elegant. Size 7 or 8 US would be ideal for 'most'. My own size is US 5 for most heels. My feet are too small and too narrow. I've shopped in Department stores like Macy's, Nordstrom's, etc. They simply don't stock my size. Almost all my heels have been purchased online. With that said, a larger frame would probably look better with larger feet though, proportions are so important.

  8. I find it extremely irritating myself. Especially if the little cushioning that exists absorbs the water and creates that squishy sound at each step. What's worse is that i prefer shoes that are low maintenance. When they wear down or get damaged badly enough, it's time to toss them. That's the main reason i don't like buying designer heels. Can you imagine spending 600 dollars on a pair of heels just to step in to a deep puddle the next day?

  9. I've seen a lot of men wearing unisex boots or chunky heels. The only time i've ever seen a man wear women's heels were these 2 crossdressers eating at the mall's food court several years ago. The under the breath comments they were getting from guys walking by were downright corrosive. I think most straight men are simply homophobic. Men wearing any kind of women's clothing or shoes always seem to evoke some 'gay' comments. Back then, I admit to being a little weirded out myself. I'm a little conservative but I like to think I keep an open mind. EDIT: If and when my son becomes old enough to wear heels and walks around in public with stilletos, i'd slap him silly. Double standard maybe...I'd have a problem with that.

  10. I have 4 pairs of pleaser pumps, either seduce or...i think it was vanity. From my own experience , they do run a bit small. I normally wear size 5 heels (4.5 for flats). I used to be able to wear the 4 inch size 5 pumps even though it was really tight. The 5 inch size 5 was downright painful. I was too lazy to bother returning/exchanging those at the time. After giving birth and adding a little weight, size 6, 4 inchers is a perfect fit for me right now. I think they might have fit me well even before the weight. For pleasers, I would buy them one size up and make sure whoever you buy them from has a good return policy just in case. And yes, the quality leaves a bit to be desired, but you get what you pay for. They are relatively cheap and my husband loves them.

  11. I don't like platforms myself. I only have one pair of boots that 'might' be considered platforms. I only have it because it's not too obvious. I think heels are for accentuating and enhancing legs, although the height is nice as well :). At 5'2, I can use all the height i can get. Extreme platforms are too bulky and draws attention away from the legs. -Sue
