  1. Poll closes in two days and I want to say thanks to those who voted and posted comments based on my poll. Its nice to see 82% are infavor of heels being unisex. Sad that only three women posted comments on this subject. So my thanks goes out to Ami,M-A and Pussyinboots for what they had to say about this question. Thank you girls.

  2. I got a pair of flat heels (size 11) under 2 inches I seen them at Payless Shoes and got thinking they'd go great with my maids outfit :) and they looked great but hard to walk in after 20 mins. So I mite list them for sale here one of these days along with a couple other pairs of heels.

I typically wear a US women's 12. As indicated by others, there are some 11's that I can fit into, and I had a pair of Nine West shoes in a 12 that were so tight I couldn't wear them bery long. So it's a crap shoot as to what might fit. I was in the Skycraper Heels store in Chicago the other day, and I tried on three pairs of pumps that were between a 12WW and 13WW that were both too short and too tight. The shop keeper said that the shoes from some of the foreign importers (and I guessing China or Taiwan here) always run small and narrow, and that they are working on getting them to make better and more consistent sizes. Actually, if I could pick a size that fit best, for most styles it would be an 11 or 11 1/2 WW. But most of the styles that are available in true WW widths are, may I say, old ladies shoes (I know, there are some out there that aren't, but just go take a look on Zappos and see what pops up in those sizes...lol). The moral of the story is to try them on!

  3. Usually women's shoes are 2 sizes larger than your men's size.

I wear an 11 mens so I buy womens 13.

My shoe size is 10.5 in mens shoes but I wear size 11 as its hard to find a 10.5 shoe.

So I gather thats why I'm able to wear a size 12 heel?

    13's are a bit lose but I'm thinking about getting a 6 inch heel so I gather I'd get a 13 instead of a 12?

  4. i believe that high heels should be unisex. they should have whatever sole and heel combination you feel like such as 5'' stiletto with a 1'' platform or a 3'' chunky heel and single sole. as long as they dont look too girly then they could be classed as unisex. you can actually buy a unisex high heel shoe. i have posted a picture of a unisex boot with a 6''+ heel which are actually sold as unisex. there is also a black court shoe with a 5'' chunky heel that MIGHT get away with being classed as unisex but there is no way that you could call the sandal unisex as it is too girly looking. at the end of the day this is just my personal opinion. everyone has different views. a transvestite is more likely to want a girly looking pair where as someone like myself would go for the court style. we must also remember that high heels were worn by men in the 1970's including myself. would these have been classed as unisex

The boots in the 1st photo looks cool but being 5'11 ahh I mite up being taller then Herman Munster (60's tv series) who wears this type of boot in the series:unsure:.

The heels in the 2nd photo can pass as unisex if the guy wears then with black skinny jeans. Red,pink, only by a woman.

Not sure what people mite think if a guy wears pink jeans with or with out any kind of heel??

Being a part time transvestite who only goes out on the odd Halloween,I find the shoes in the 3rd photo to be way to girly even for me. So I'll pass on this heel! I'd rather wear the heels in the 2nd photo then those in the 3rd photo.

  5. Since all of my heeling is in private, so is my choice to dress more feminine. I do not desire to be a woman, but the comfort level for me is "female" clothing is better. I enjoy my times in a skirt, top, hose and heels, such as now. Most times at work or out it is slacks or jeans, and a polo shirt or t-shirt, usually with athletic style shoes. At night after everyone else is in bed or on my days off, i dress feminine.

    Same here too!

LOL I'm not sure what my co-workers would say if I showed up all dolled up :)

  6. The only reason I voted no was that many years ago there was a shoe company that designed and made custom shoes, specializing in high heels. The made some shoes called "unisex" high heels. What they looked like were like, take a pair of men's wing-tip shoes and put a "high heel" on them and it was called a unisex high heeled shoe. All of the unisex high heels looked really ugly to me and it wasn't something I would have worn. I have seen some me's shoes with higher heels (such as ballroom dance shoes) that don't look bad. Maybe it's because I can't get the image of those ugly "unisex high heels" out of my mind.

I recall those ugly boots being worn by Venis Fly trap and Dr. Fever on WKRP (Tv series from the 80's) it's been a while since I've seen repeats of WKRP on air. I gather these are the "unisex high heels" you're talking about?

  7. We need to take a stand and do it everyday with out looking like a freak rather it's for charity or not. Charity walks are okay but the sad part is when we're done doing our yearly deed no one could care less about us guys the next day rather we're wearing heels or not!

  8. I have to say that this appears to be a rather silly question given the fact that the vast majority of people who post here are guys who wear or would like to wear heels. It's a bit like asking delegates at the Conservative Party conference which party they are going to vote for!

Silly question or not I find what others have to say to be very intresting!

  9. hoping that the shoe industry would not make ugly men heels as they usually do for most men shoes.

Yeah if they started to make heels for men they should make them look sexy but not to feminine nor ugly looking.

  10. I voted yes, but they already are "unisex" as far as I'm concerened..

I feel the same way too! Us boys need to get the rest of the world to think the same way too! Thanks for voting!

    We got :):clap::silly::clap::) yes votes!

  11. Should high heels be unisex?

    Yes?

    Not sure!

    No?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

I casted my vote, and also changed "not sure" to "May be" in my frist poll!

  12. I saw these in a charity shop at the weekend and just had to have them.

When i tried them on in the shop i got a couple of funny looks from the older ladies and a nice smile from a teenage goth girl.

I bet that teenage goth girl got a few strange looks from those old ladies?

People need to relax and not worrie what others are doing!

  13. Correct, the link takes you to the profile of hhplace.org member Majo.

In Ami's post she was referring to what Majo wrote in this post earlier in this thread. Ami wrote that she was just like Majo, in that she needs a different size for different types of footwear.

She didn't write that she likes (the brand) Majo, although that seems to be what you read ...

Well I was tired after a long day at the job and yes it seems that I mis read what she wrote. I went back to re-read what she was saying and I was thinking "Majo" was a name brand of a shoe.

  14. Usually women's shoes are 2 sizes larger than your men's size.

I wear an 11 mens so I buy womens 13.

I only wear a men's size 11 shoe as my feet are 10.5 inches and finding a shoe that's 10.5 inches is very rear so I gather thats why I'm able to fit into a size 12 women's heel? I've tryed on a pair or two of size 12.5 inch heel and they both where to lose.

I tryed the 12.5's at Take a walk on the wild side store in Toronto Canada. They cater mosty to the crossdresser's/drag queens and who ever drops by to shop.
