  1. Well this even was one that was special for me BEFORE the key events started. As alot of us males willknow and understand going out in high heels takes alot to do. Well while I was with my girlfriend and ger flatmate (a guy who isn't bothere'd by my wearing heels at all...well at 36 years old and a goth it's not suprising) in a pub called the Little Angel just off Flowergate and a good friend of theirs called Monty arrived. (Goth Weekend doesn't start untill monty arrives) He sat down with us and he was wearing a good outfit but did have a custom made leather skirt. We had abit of a chat and he knew I was abit nervy about wearing my boots out (the pair I'm selling at the moment) and he said to not worrie about it and to just be myself and not be bothered about what others thought of me. So for most of the time I was wearing my heels while I was over there and I got a few new pairs too. The best bit was I wore my knee high platforms, with a rubber sole, and a few looked but nothing was said and I didn't really care about it. On Sexy Sunday I was wearing my leather trousers and the boots I'm selling and I ticked a few girls off from what my girlfriend said...since I kept my boots on ALL NIGHT...from the flat they live in on Newton Street all the way to the Met and back and 5 hours at the event too. So I've managed to excel myself and when I'm over there on a week or more holiday I'll be wearing one of my 8 pairs there, normal boots for the trip but heels while I'm there. one thing that makes a challenge even better is the amount of hill's in Whitby too. It comes down to one thing and one thing only...do what the hell you want, if anyone has a problem with you wearing heels, well damn them. I'm at the point were my friends arn't bothere'd by it and even give me hinter's on what looks good on me. For my new goth outfit: Knee high or ankle high boots Blue/black pop socks - knee high Blue or Black fishnet tights Black shorts - with a blue trim on the sides that I added And any t-shirt I can use and Black fishnet gloves I hope this helps some of you guys, I know it's helped me alot

  2. REALLY REALLY GREAT NEWS!!!!! I've just come back of a holiday in Whitby, and I took the boots for a road test. I was helping out in the better of the goth shops in whitby with a couple of friends of mine and I wore them all day...from 10 AM through till 6 pm...I was on the shop floor most of the time and no one made any remarks about them, smoked a cigar or two outside on the high street...same reaction again. ANd to top it all off when we went home I kept them on all the way through the main harbour...loads of public and DAY TIME TOO!! I'm really pleased I managed to do this, I felt a slight bit uneasy but once I was on the street it was a case of give a damn and I got on with it. I am SOOOOOO HAPPYY

  3. I've not got them yet, the cheque went off today so they'll probably get here by saturday one hopes. I've been after a style like this for a long time, mainly the style of knee high, but the style and silence of heavy duty rubber soles. They also look trully goth so they still work for me.

  4. Info on Darlington south: The North board as some will remember was completed some months back, now the south board is heading very much that same way. in about 24 hours time the south board will have the little storage area at the top right of the plan completed and everything will be ready to start the electrical system. Will post more info when available

  5. Hiho again, it went pritty well, not a soul in sight and it was quite comfortable walking around in them...even up hill, and down for that matter. The distance into town from were I live Bubba is about half a mile I think. All in all pritty nice time so I'll be trying my other boots tonight to see how they work out.

  6. Hiho, well in about 2 hours time I'll be talking a walk off the estate wearing normal boots then I'll be changeing into my platforms, then I'll take a trip into town and back to see what they're like for walking a long distance. I'll post again this morning to let you all know how it went

  7. Hello all On the newest eps of QEFTSG the guy they made over on the first show was wearing a pair of red PU slingbacks. Although they didn't really work for him they were ok. If they had been a different material or a different colour I think they would have worked but thats my opinion. Anyone have the same feelings or otherwise

  8. Hi all, Well I figured you peeps would want to know about this one. This comming saturday [12th] I'm going over to Whitby for a small holiday, To it I shall be taking all three pairs with me and each night I shall be wearing them to see how I cope for walking over HARD ground rather than just in the house or carefully walking around the back garden. So I'll let you know each night what happens with that one. Second bit of info is that in a chat room i go into on WinMX, I've told them about what i do and they're all fine with it...even the guy that comes in. Take care all

  9. Hi there Youngwolf,

interesting project, especially the choice of the class 13.

I made a class 13 many years ago (1985) out of two Graham Farish 08's. I small amount of work was needed but a satisfactory result was made. Well, the customer liked it and the club made use of it, so it must have been passable

I would like to know what area you are basing your layout on as class 13's were exclusively Sheffield Tinlsey hump yard shunters or is it just visiting for repair :)

    Keep up the good work.

Although I'm a OO man and have no need to go back to N, I still enjoy seeing new projects come to fruition.

    see you out there

Quite so but the reason I'm building one is because they were built at BR Darlington and introduced in 1965. The idea being that a private owner got his hands on one and sold it to EW&S say a year back and was transfered to EWS Thornaby then sent to Darlington south as a shunter for HD loads as opposed to leaving a full size loco do the work, which is what they're doing at thornaby for some really stupid reason.

Take an event a few weeks ago, Phil, my closest friend, and myself went to Thornaby Yard for an hour to see what was going on.

A class 60 was shunting a few clay wagons between lines, putting a train together then leaving with a completly different rake of wagons after that. Something that an 08 would have been better suited to doing because of the long clearence needed for the 60.

One reason why my layout is pritty much freelance in terms of opperations, but its main description is an overflow yard for Thornaby when they're 'full'.

  10. I agree with Bubba on this one. My personal preference is if the girl looks nice but has a damn good personality then I'll like her, cute and good looking is nice but some have a habit of over doing everything and looking more like tarts rather than great girls. With or without heels I wouldn't really care, I'd tell her about my thing with high heels and the last girl I had I told and she didn't have a problem with it at all. If my next girlfriend doesn't have a problem then even better (though my old flame and me might be getting back together soon) and she may want to nab my heels for a few hours or even days if she's so inclined, and I might even buy her a pair of heels as well if she wants.

  11. You want to see me with a sword as well as the outfit?..not a problem I'll have one of me in my gear and with my training sword tomorrow morning, though rather than highlander I rather pictured myself as a Lycan in Underworld.

  12. All I'll ask is one thing...how the hell did you know I was part scot?!! truth is I had a rather strange upbringing. I'll give you a quicky to my life Born: Germany 1985 (UKForces Hospital) Moved: Ireland 1986 Moved: UK 1987 Moved: Ireland 1988 Father left Army: 1989 Scotland: 1989 Darlington: 1993 And I've been here ever since...me be an army brat. I'm more prouder of my scot side than I am my English side (since my father was english and 2 years ago him and my mum got divorced [wehey]) though I've got a small amount of Irish in me too, again from my fathers side. Night time in Whitby is actualy the quietist time, especialy at around 1 or 2 in the morning. Though I might be able to get away with it if I wear my dog collar to cover my adams apple and wear my motorcycle cutoff jacket to act as a 'corset' so the ones looking for trouble may think I'm female. Oh it is fun having a father who was badged S.A.S. in Ireland...those of you who are ex-british armed forces will know what I'm on about and in what I'm implying the situation to. good lord this topic is gonna get the my highest number of posts inside a month at this rate.

  13. Hiho,

Well theres a small problem on the street heeling around this area...we have what some may know as townies in Darlington and to be honest most of the north is filled with them. I know it may not sound like much but when townies see goths they tend to get alittle anti about it. If they saw one wearing heels they're more liable to do a little more than just shout abuse, more rather inflict it.

Hence why I'm going to wear them when I'm next in Whitby, a place thats a haven for all goths of all kinds and were I can dress is stockings and suspenders if I wished and noone would do a damn thing, sure they'd look at me in strange manners but that'd be all.

The camera was placed on a makeshift tripod, namely the guinnie pig run turned on it's end, and the camera set on a timer.

Thanks again to all for the positive comments.

  14. Hiho all, To answer the oldest question and to be very honest about the situation. I wore these while I was in my back garden. I do definatly intend on wearing the purple and platform boots when I next go over to Whitby for a few days/nights. I'll wear them at night to see how the nightlife react. Even with me saying that I'm not affraid to go out into the backgarden during the day to deal with my stationary engine or just the garden, frell lifes to short not to live it as far as you want to. I'm going over to the moding forum to talk about a modification I'm planning on doing for my first pair just to make them more unique than they already are. Thanks for the great comments so far though

  15. Morning All,

Well here we are, me and my heels in my kit

    Posted Image

my first heels, the ones my mate kinda hinted at me to buy since he has a pair too. I have a plan to change these alittle too.

4 inch heel - no platform

    Posted Image

The Second pair I got at Whitby, quite comfortable though I'd have wanted a higher instep.

    4 3/4 inch heel - 1.5 inch platform

    Posted Image

And the newest pair, my purple boots, these are really comfortable and very easy to walk in (or I've just had alot of practice). Very comfortable insides and good lining.

4 inch heel - no platform

ALL of these are a size 7 female UK.

Hope you's enjoy what your seeing

  16. heyho all, Nice boots micha, the postage was about the same as the boots but since it was first class that didn't bother me. Well some news for you all anyway...I'll be taking some photygrits of me in my kit tomorrow morning and posting them on here after I've got them sorted out. And yes Dawn they'll be full length shots of me and I won't blur out my face either. Be bright and early, they'll be on by 7:00AM UK time

  17. Heyho all. Well they arrived this morning (parcel deilvery round here is damn fast, they only got posted yesterday and arrived here at 8:15). The material is rather nice, kind of a nice feeling on me feets when I'm wearing them. They're in good condition and the heels are only scuffed a small amount...nothing that can't be worked with. The soles are are abit scuffed too but apart from that they're very good. I'll get some piccys taken and get them posted ASAP

  18. I may wear them outside since the blade will make things alot easier, not got the chance of going over them as much as my normal ones. The colour and material isn't much of a problem, since I'm a goth it makes things much more better to work with for clothing. A pair of black leatherette trousers, my black t-shirt with blue wolf print and my 3/4 length leather jacket. And if you's are lucky I'll do a photo of me with my makeup aswell.

  19. Hello All, Firefox relocated me and directed me here for posting about my layout...(thinks this might help get his counter rating up)...I'm corrently doing an N gauge layout, the URL is - http://www.darlington-south.moonfruit.com

The sites being updated quite regularly at the moment so keep tabs on it and see what happens.

I'm a member of the N gauge society now as well, so getting on the exhibition loop will be made easier...and you never know...I might see some of you at the events.
