Thank you all for the welcomes!

The jury’s still out as to whether the American fashion editor who had to be escorted by two lackeys from her limo into a fashion show in New York because her shoes weren’t built for snowdrifts radiated omnipotence.
I'd be embarrassed too .I agree heels are a sign of feminine power and sexuality, but I cross the line at wearing heels when there is snow and ice out. I'll wear winter boots then change into heels inside.

Ya, people seem to make negative comments especially about the metal heels. I have em, I've worn em out in the past, and the minute I'm on a wood floor its like 'Miss, you can't wear those type of heels in here'. 'Why not"? "Miss, you're ruining the floor with them!". ::sighs:: "FINE!"...all the while thinking I'd like to stomp on their foot with my heel.Plus of course the looks just got to be too annoying.

I'm 5'6 without heels. I'm happy with my height, neither too tall nor too short. If I need to adjust, I'll wear heels.

Does wearing heels turn me on sexually? No, but I do feel as others have mentioned, very sexy, and confident, sometimes seductive, to be honest a bit dangerous too.
So does wearing heels turn me on? No, but my wearing them sometimes can and has led to me in situations with my boyfriend that led me to being turned on. So its kind of a horse-cart thing, I guess. But that is like certain other clothes I wear too, like lingerie.

I will not wear anything more than 4" out now. I'll wear 3" with no issue, and 4" with "Oh I want to get these OFF MY FEET" after a long day.

I voted for the second option. Yes, I do like and own platform shoes and boots, and I'll wear them if I feel like making a statement without the sex appeal added. And they are more comfortable besides. So I can have the height, along with some comfort.

Hi. I was invited here some time back by one of the boards members, I'm not sure if she is still here, but I thought I'd join and take a look.
I'm AnnMarie, a 30-something female from the US. Obviously I do wear heels, and I do enjoy how I look and feel in them. A sense of feminine power, I suppose.
I don't know that I'll post much here, but from time to time I might.
Shocking news - high heels cause deaths!

I just read this article. The first womans death had nothing to do with driving. The second one..how can someone who is 25 and in just 3" heels let them 'get in the way'? Thats absurd. It has more to do with carelessness, than the heels themselves. More likely she was distracted by something.
Basically, if you don't know how to drive in heels, which isn't difficult, then don't. It takes more practice to learn how to walk in heels properly (which I learned at like 5 or 6) than it does to drive in heels.
