  1. owning so many pairs (well over 100) i have pretty much stopped buying. i did pick up a great pair of gucci loafers with a 2.5" heel which are great for business situations. i gave a friend of mine a velvet skirt as a present a few months back, it was part of an ensemble that i bought on ebay, but i only wanted the jacket. she really liked the skirt and returned the favor by sending me some things from her closet that she didn't want anymore, including a red velvet jacket, a pair of bebe 4.5" blade heel boots (awesome looking but exhausting to walk in) and a very girly pair of satin cynthia rowley ankle strap pumps which are really beautiful. everything fits perfectly (we are the same size in everything). merry christmas to me!

  2. long trousers, usually about two inches off the ground, with a slight flare. i do this partially for concealment and partially because i think the line from the waist to the ground flows better. i wear a lot of thin heels and a long spike or blade sticking out from under the pant leg doesn't look right to me on a man. but when sitting down... this creates a whole different effect. the heel and most of the shoe is clearly visible. i enjoy the feeling that i get from this, but i don't think it looks very good.

  3. i wear heels in public every day. i have heels in many different styles and i wear what i like within the boundaries of the social situation that i am likely to find myself in. if i am going to be on my own with little chance of running into anyone that i know, then i usually wear the highest pumps i have. if i am going out on a date, i wear the highest fashion pumps that i own, often to the amusement of my date whose shoes are often inferior to the ones that i am wearing. if i am going to be in a business situation, i still usually wear heels, but more acceptable styles such as boots or high-vamp slip ons and make sure that i have dark hose on so there is little or no skin showing. if i am going to a party, it depends on whether there will be business associates there or not and what the specific occasion is. if it's meant to be a get-together i usually dress conservatively, if it's a blow-out, like a christmas or end-of-year party, i will sometimes go in fashion pumps even if there are professional associates there. it kind of depends on how bold i feel at the time. or how much i have been drinking...

  4. I enjoy the feel of the height and walk 10 Fashion - an indispensible accessory 5 For the extra height and confidence. 10 / 0 i like the height but they do not make me feel more confident, rather the opposite they make me feel quite vulnerable. A way to emphasise my feminine side. 5 I am sexually stimulated by wearing them 10 To be more attractive. 3 i find that most women want a man to look and act in a masculine manner, and although the novelty of a man in heels may attract their attention initially, except in very rare cases, i don't think they are going to take him seriously as a romantic candidate.

  5. my former girlfriend was fine with me wearing heels at home, but objected very strongly to me wearing them in public, despite the fact that i used to get compliments all the time from people that we would run into. this was a very sad state of affairs, and was one of the reasons that we broke up. since then i have met quite a few heel-tolerant women and a few that were really enthusiastic about experimental fashion. the next girlfriend will have to be more broad minded than the last one was.

  6. when i was in my 20's and 30's i used all kinds of cover stories and often just went in and bought something and got the hell out of there as fast as i could. i had a few sizing disapointments but i for a long time i stuck to brands that i had bought successfully already. i'm 48 now and sometime around 5 years ago i gradually started trying the shoes on at the store, usually in the most inconspicuous place i could find. i'm still very shy when it comes to doing this, but if i spot a pair that i love i will try them on briefly in the store. it helps if i find a female assistant, they seem to be much more tolerant of guys playing around with ladies shoes, and some of them that i have met have been quite enthusiastic about the whole process. for the last 2 or 3 years however, i have bought the majority of my shoes on ebay. i have bought a number of shoes that didn't fit, but the selection there is vastly greater than what i can find in the stores, even here in los angeles. and the prices are a lot lower there. i have learned what my size is in practically every brand now, either through trial and error or by going into stores and trying them on, so my rate of success in buying shoes without trying them on first is much better now.
