  1. Well, I cannot second that. I wear heels all the time, and have received many positice comments. And it is not a specific age. Maybe young girls have not mastered to be quiet when they think something is funny, so you get sometimes giggling from them. But even wearing my leopard pumps, I have received many positive comments. Going into a restaurant, two woman around 30 looked at the pumps and my dressing and said "Hey, that looks really good". In a shoe shop a woman looked at me and said "Gosh, I wish I had legs like that." Getting a coffe at McCafe, a table of young girls started staring and then giggling, but one stood up and questioned me. "You are a guy, aren't you?" "Yep" I say, and she goes "that looks really cool" and then to the others "Well, it does look good." They kinda left their mouths open that she said that and I couldn't help myself getting a big fat smile. Going on a train, black pumps on. Two young girls enter and we start chatting about the music on my iPod they liked. No giggling, no nothing. Actually, very often somebody approaches me and asks where I get my stuff. It is that often that a colleague, who I went out with, asked. "You pay them to say those things, don't you?" And 10:1, it is women coming to me. I guess, if you dress up, you must accept that you are loked after - isn't the show half of the fun?

  3. I do shave my whole body - and I agree it is true, once you do it you don't want to go without shaving. It is simply so much smoother. But it is indeed a pain in the ass to do all the shaving, so I got the hair removed permanently. Now its a nice clean skin without all the work.

  4. As a consultant I have to hop on and off an airplane at least three times a week. By that time of day I have stored my suit in my hand luggage, and I am dressed in pret-a-porter clothes and heels. Unfortunately you have to take off all the nice things at security  so I undress  and pack my boots, my belts, some jewellry etc. on the belt and put them back on when I am through. Nice show. Almost ever I do get good comments. These comments range from "cool boots" or "cool jeans" to discussions where to get the stuff ("those are italian boots, right? Where did you buy them?") up to little talk-ins with the crew. And as there is always a guy and a woman doing the work, I get comments from many womens, but even from man (which doesn't happen normally - mostly woman stop and say they like my stuff). That also helped we once with check in. The woman looked at me and started to call the other staff members, saying: hey, look how this guy looks - I looove it. At the end I found myself booked with a first class ticket. This continues with the stewardesses and other female passengers. Just 2 days ago I sat with a nice lady from the army in the plane and she looked at my boots and said "whow, they are gorgeous", and we kept talking until the luggage belt. The looks work the same with stawardesses. Nice smiles, joking, and talks all the time. Another good experience on the streets: a 80-year-old lady walking by me, stoppping, coming back and saying "This looks so great", and she just continues without anything else. And this happens in Germany - the country where people normally keep their mouth shut. The few times I go the states, this commenting gets much more frequent, obout once a day. The only woman I heard complaing is my wife. Not in a bad way, though. She sometimes complains that we can't go through the streets without the women looking, . But she got used to it - now it produces grins on her "Did you see those two girls?! They couldn't get the eyes off you." - "Nope, didn't see that." - "Cheese, you don't even see it." So, try to be a fashion example - it is FUN. The trick is, look truly in the mirror and make sure it is a fashion statement. If it is, you can do almost anything. If it is not, you look funny. That is not what you want.

  5. Hi,

I found some extraordinary boots which are fashionable, cool and everything (I think).

    fashioable people check out: http://www.libertyboot.com/

non-shy and extra cool people check out: http://www.rocketbuster.com/

Made to measure, with sizes, width and heel. Unfortunately 3-6 months to deliver. Also boots are rather on the expensive side.

But I ordered 4 pairs :-))) Cowgirl, Killaz, Lourdes Mule and Beige Birds. See me rockin' :-))

  6. Today I was going through the town, wearning my usual stylish outfit with a HUGO shirt and jacket, MacKenzie jeans and my Luciona Padovan stilettos. Then, one coner, a 70 year old woman walking there, stopped, looked, came towards me and said: "I love that look", and went on doing her business. Hmm, that was something, an old lady saying that. I am just used to junger woman saying something. I now I have to revise my prejudice against older people :)

  7. Hi all, I always wear high heeled designer boots in public (Sergio Rossi, Prada, Versace etc.) - and even my stiletto jeans (Chanel). I am a true fashion addict, so I always wear most fashionable designer clothes with them. That combination never gave any bad comment, rather the opposite. I have received many positive comments - especially from women - saying they like the look, they like the courage, they think its cool. The key is probably that it really looks good - if it does, and if the clothes are hip, then the boots fit in the theme.

  8. Well, it has taken a while, but here are more pictures.

Not very artsy so - maybe I get someone to make freal pictures of me and my boots and clothes.

By now I have worn the stiletto jeans quite a bit outside, in restaurants, bars, trains and the like and quite got used to it. Funny that there are people out there who do not were these boots :-? Hoe they must feel?

  9. - I have an Andrew Mackenzie shirt which is extravagant, stylish and goes quite well with the stiletto jeans. Yes, I know that black & white is quite a contrast, but I am doing this because I like to dress up and look fashionable, so there is no reason to hide, is there? And I looked at both, the black and the white version, and I found the black & white combination the most stunning. I am also not offended if people look - I mean, if you dress up, you partially do it because you like to look good and you like people to recognize that. - Yes, the company makes everything to your choice, really everything. I think I had a long list of details, starting with the heels and their hight, the 1cm inside-the-shoe platform, the tip going upwards, the placement of the seam etc. etc.

  10. Huh, a picture seems to stimulate comments :-)

So, here come some answers to your questions:

    - Yes, the stiletto jeans were custom made. I ordered them from the German manfuacturer and gave quite precise instructions (e.g. the tip of the shoe shall point a little bit upwards, leather type, placement of the seams, ...) as well as large size pictures from the Chanel jeans. I ruled out the Chanel version because they charge 7000 EUR and you need to go to the shop in Paris, and I think the German version is just as good. You can order from (German site)

    - Well, I did not get any comments. I think they are too extravagant as that anybody can give a comment right away. I think they do look awesome and I do wear Desinger clothes with them, so there is a contractictory and maybe even expensive look to it. So, people need to process all that first. But as said, there were many :) looks. I just kept the grin to myself seeing people struggle to have a second look yet not to be recognized having that second look.

    - walking around in the stiletto jeans is perfect. Since they are custom-made, they fit perfectly and the heels are thight and stable. The heels are not too high, either (12 cm, and the shoes have an inner platform of 1 cm). So, I can really walk around in them like in any other shoes. Just right for the daily wear (well, maybe not quite, but only because of the looks).

  11. Hi Bootish,

Do you have a picture of them? You can't see in the above picture how high the heels are, how high are yours?

    Robert

Hmm, I don't know how to post a picture here (any link that tells me how to do it?).

The stiletto is about 11 cm. Since they are custom made, their are very comfortable to walk in.

For a picture you can also go to the Chanel website. They have probably even better pictures than I could take. Navigate to the Chanel Haute Couture Winter Collection 2003/2004. If you look at the detail picture of one of the white stiletto pants, there is also a closeup just of the leg/foot.

Yep, even a women will be looked at if she wears those :D They are just awesome.

  12. I now received the stiletto jeans - exactly the ones as made by Chanel. They do look great! And there is nothing like walking in bespoke stiletto jeans which perfectly fit your body. I also took the please to fit them on and go on in the city, well equipped with a quite fashionable men's black outfit. That gave an astonishing outfit. And, boy, going like this out in town gave plenty of :D looks. I really had to restrain myself not to get a grin far too wide ... People too well educated not to look and then they still couldn't help and look. So, if you want that real and pure stiletto adventure - get 'em and go out with 'em.

  13. I love designer clothes. I go shop HUGO, D&G, DSQUARED, Bikkembergs, Versace and stuff like that. During business ours I like to go out in finest bespoken suits & fitting english/italien mens shoes, after work I like to dress equally up, just in the most fasionable style. It is always stylisch, and for me my boots are just part of that extravagant look. So my boots are also designer ones, and probably the extra elegant ones. I suppose I just like to dress up. :-))) Ah, I forgot, I also like to shop around :-)))
