  1. very urban edgy...I like it. (if I'm not in boots, my pumps have to have ankle straps!)...sadly I'm in Nebraska on business with little hope of dressing up or seeing anyone dressed so sexy. can't wait to hear what your next outfit will be (do you like boots too [forgive me, I'm relatively new to the site]?)

  2. I'm right there with you YamYam, I've now no problems shopping. In fact, I have sales people help me, even bring them out, open the box, unzip. All this while dressed as a guy. It's a HUGE turn-on when they just assume that I want to try them on right then and there. I roll-up the pants, sometimes take the heels with me and try on other ladies' things (if in a dept. store). No problems yet! Some times though they first ask if they're for my wife. Luckily, this is NYC, so most stores carry US10's/11's, in a wide-selection of smart and sexy styles. I've had great experiences: nothing like a woman chatting me up saying, "they look great on you" (sincerely), or asking me what I think of their selections. 3-4 times I've had that happen. Alternately, I love to chat with sales people (again as a guy) about styles, cut, designers...just heel chat. Dressing in public is tougher for me (because I go all the CD-way!)...despite being mildly passable. The apartment building I live in, is small, everyone recognizes me (and my wife), so it's only to sneak out late at night alone. But my heart races if I hear a door open/close, thinking a neighbor will see me (marble floors and stairs don't help either, those stilettos make such a racket!).

  3. great anecdotes all... I hope to share some (at work now, quick diversion) and also experience more. you're candid stories have made me anxious to zip up and stroll more publicly. two weeks ago, while working late at work on a weekend, I pulled out a pair of suede, 3.75", over-the-knee boots, that fit snugly and have a half zip up the side. I keep all my outfits/shoes/boots at work (private cabinet/locker storage space...I'm closeted still and now married). So, with few noises in the building, I slipped them on at my desk, zipped them up (tight jeans tucked in) over my knee (not quite mid-thigh)...then nervously (very nervously) walked to the printer nearby...then back to my desk (breathless). Then I sasheyed to the mailroom, a bit further but on the same floor. Then back to my desk (breathless but thoroughly titillated). The office building is carpeted, but the stacked wood heel (not chunky, not stiletto) made a solid noise while walking. And the mailroom floor is tile, so I could relish the click, click. Oh, what a great time it was (however brief, panicked at the first sound of someone despite being quite safe). I sat and worked at my desk, feeling the suede, crossing my legs, swinging my booted leg back under my chair to admire the heel from behind. Thanks for being a great audience. I have more adventurous stories (shopping moments, too) when I have more time. Until then. Thanks for sharing! Betsy

  4. NYC (where I live) has a plethora of course, but if I'm correct, I believe you're posting from the UK...in which case I recall a few smart boutiques on Dean Street in London, and a more fetish oriented shop around the corner from the Waterloo tube station (bought a pair of red patent oxfords 5" and a nurses outfit...very kinky). Someone did post newport-news.com as a site and I've also found smart and sexy (not fetish) styles from victoriassecret.com (many with sz11...that's US of course, is that the correct conversion you were looking for?)

  5. New to this forum, and I must say so happy to see such a lovely link (both work great, load quickly!). I enjoy this forum and hope to see frequent traffic!... Right now, I've a pair of granny ankle boot lace-ups, black, 5.5" heel (my legs are slim so it's not the most snug fit around my ankle...but a cute pair of white frilly lace trim ankle socks does the trick). I recently bought a digital cam, and hope to contribute soon! Love, Betsy

  6. Hi, I'm new to this forum and enjoy the comments! As for lace-ups, I bought a knee-high, 5" heel, white pair that also had an inside zip (from Tony's Shoes on Sunset Strip in LA). Definately the way to go for me (privately dressing and shopping means I have to remove and put back on more times than I'd care to lace-up!). BTW, they look great with pink ribbed thigh high nylons (with a frilly band at the top), and a white leather mini-skirt so the nylon and a little leg show. I wore this around a hotel in San Diego and while driving in a car, and once for Halloween (put my wig in pig-tails, cute pink school-girl blouse to complete the ensemble). Well, I hope this contributes! Love, Betsy
