  1. Has anyone else noticed that walking BACKWARDS in heels stretches the foot in a more comfortable way? I'm able to walk in higher heels than normal, with straight legs, quicker using this method. TIP: It is a bit tricky, so don't be tempted to take any weight on your hands/arms holding yourself up to balance, as that defeats the object. I guess it's to do with the weight distribution being on the opposite foot to normal, when walking backwards. Has anyone else tried it or had any success?

  2. I’ve often thought what it would be like to wear shoes or boots made from unusual materials. Then the people at 6IHF started advertising steel heels, but they are seriously ugly and only come as sandals, but I want pumps or boots.

I’ve often thought plastic, steel, fibreglass, Lucite, Perspex or even glass might make good inflexible materials to mould and train my feet in such footwear.

Obviously if they did exist then they would have to be a suitable shape to enable me to walk.

Ages ago I found a photograph on the web where the wearer had on a pair of boots where the toe was turned up as was very intrigued. I also believe it’s been featured on this forum somewhere in the long an distant past.

Well, now I’ve found the video footage and it’s made me want to write this piece:

Can you imagine what similar shaped footwear would be like to wear if it was made of an unyielding material such as one of the above I’ve just described?

If it were, for example, Perspex (clear of black would be my preference) then it would have to be made in 2 parts. The first being the front pointed toe, half sole and shin. The other half would have you be the remainder sole, heel and calf. To wear them, they would need to be locked /bound together in much the same way as ski boots do.

For boots your toes would be encased and unmoveable in pointed, upturned (to enable you to walk) toes, your arch would be incredibly high and your ankle unmovable. The covering and stiffness would also go right up to just below your knee.

What about a pair of pumps made of steel or thick plastic?

  3. I've got one of Christine Bleakley too, as am also a big fan...latey. Shame she sits behind the table all the time! I have some "footage" (excue the pun) of her talking about heels and then she takes her 5 inch straight heeled Pigalles (Christian Louboutin) off and shows them to the camera on my Sky+ box but don't know how to get it off and onto a PC. Recently she's broken her toe and taken to wearing flats. Yeuk. With legs like that it's such a shame.

  4. Gina - Where did you get those "Vintage 70s 7inch Heels"? They are wonderfull. I like the way they seem to wrap right round, and enclose, your foot with the high sides. If you ever decide to sell them, please let me know! You model them beautifully. Another post of you standing in them would warm my heart at this cold time of year! Kind regards 007

  5. Well it seems to have been ages since we last saw her great collection of Gianmarco Lorenzi footwear, since which I have become a huge fan. I thought all hers were by the same manufacturer, but I've just spied a pair on eBay (7742945559) that she once showed off, that aren't. An equally spectacular style. Enjoy :D) Oh...and please come back...Anna D!!!!

  6. You're all so right...they are "impracticaly" high...

...but darn it: I'd love to own a pair to really have to squeeze my foot into and try on. What a turn on!

Who cares about the practicality of something so tall, slender and elegant like those (granted we all have to have something a little more "down to Earth" and wearable in our cupboards for "outings").

And maybe I'll order myself something similar from 6IHF as soon as I see the feedback on orders from the likes of Xaphod & jenniferhouston1 (http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?t=3222&start=40)

    Oh...Hurry up...I need some V18's before Xmas!!!!!

  7. About 71 minutes into the movie you can see her kick a gun out of the bad guys hand and get a great shot of her footwear (full frame)! I've got a 'still' of it but the upload site says it's 'closed'! She's wearing long trousers so it's hard to tell how long the boots are, but they look matt black with a shine to them and about a 4-4.5" CHROME looking heel and long pointed toe. I love those type!

  8. Surprisingly good; especially since having reservations, as they were advertised with a UK sizing. So they'd already done the US to UK...and Archenemys must have done the China standard size. Just "thinking on my feet" (see what I did there?) - As 6IHF only make-to-order, I suppose if your feet were slightly different sizes, that they would be able to manufacture them exactly as requested.

  9. Surprisingly solid. It's not possible to push the heel to the sole with your hand and feel extremely strong (more so than expected). However, under more pressure there would obviously be some movement. This does occur a little when wearing them, but nothing that would give rise to concern. I hope that helps. They also have a great feel to them...Nothing like I can quite explain!

  10. Just for reference, I bought some super-arch heels from a 3rd party on eBay, who said they bought them from Archenemys (Even though I never would because of their reputation!!!!). But when they arrived, they had the 6 Inch Heels Forever logo stamped in them! Proof enough for me! I must admit that I'm tempted to get more from 6IHF...especially the V18's. Have you seen them? Their GORGEOUS!!!!
