The Charleville style was there when I visited the site a couple of days ago - no Turin yet, but they added the Charlie and a couple of other styles.

For those of you who didn't already noticed, Jean Gaborit has revamped their website as of probably a month ago.
That said, Ian has confirmed to me that the website is a work in progress and pretty much all styles of boots they sold before their website will be on the new website. (Yes, includes the classics such as the Charleville and Turin as well as those from the "Daring Jean" group including the Cheryl, Shannon and Shania) They have also indicated the ETA for any pair that isn't off the shelf to be 10 weeks (this was not indicated in the older versions of the website).

Sorry if I am late to chime in, but I had a lot of stuff to deal with in the past week. I was actually only there for a few hours as a day trip last Saturday before heading back to Boston with hoverfly. That said, my JG boots were not really true red and silver but rather wine red (bordeaux/claret/burgundy) and silver. And they were literally attention getters (and are the very colors of a magnet), considering that I did pair them with white riding pants. Also as for the subway, on that day, we took the N between 34th and 14th. A very good day, even tho I did expect a few more people.

I am probably cutting it close myself - I will likely reach Penn Station somewhere between 11:45 and 12:50, dependent on which train I do manage to catch - and hope for zero delays.

Mark me as a weak maybe - I am still unsure (I am also that username in another boot site), since I am traveling from Boston - but haven't been to NYC in over a year though, so it is tempting.

About a month ago, after waiting nearly 4 months after ordering, I got my two pairs of JG Western-style boots... The sober Clancy knee high boot in black leather and the wild and kinky Cheryl thigh high boot in burgundy (claret) and silver leather... Got to wear the Cheryl two nights ago, and boy, did it turn heads indeed, since I paired those with tight jeans and a red leather vest. Some of the ladies were bummed that they didn't have cameras with them and even one of them wanted to try on my boots. Imagine what the same combo could do on a Friday/Saturday night...

Has anyone ordered a pair of claret (burgundy/bordeaux) from Jean Gaborit/Euroboots? If so, I'd like to see pictures of them to actually have an idea of the exact color I would be looking at. Thank you again!

So I made the not so smart decision of getting pizza as my dinner to go tonight while I was wearing one of my pairs of black leather boots. Since I found out that a drop of oil from the pizza had dropped to the ankle area of the boot - however, I wiped off the stain with a piece of paper towel. The stain is no longer there, but should I be concerned, since it was a small drop of oil and it didn't set (it was about max 15 minutes after the pizza stain happened). Fortunately, it was on black leather rather than some other color (eg, white) leather. That said, what other types of stains have you run into wearing your leather boots (or other heels)?

OK, it seems that some people don't know exactly what I am talking about so...
Page for the knee high cowboy boots (Clancy and Siri, bottom of page) - http://euroboots.biz/sso/catalog-latest-e.htm
Page for the thigh high cowboy boots (Cheryl, Shannon and Shania, a third and two-thirds down on the page) - http://euroboots.biz/daring-jean/catalog-e.htm

I am considering getting a pair or two of the cowboy/western heeled boots that JG has, and I may get one knee high pair and one thigh high pair. I am leaning toward Clancy for the knee high pair (even tho if I was daring, the Siri might be that pair) and the Cheryl for the thigh high pair (Shannon is my second choice) I wouldn't mind wearing the Clancy (or even Siri) as everyday wear (more likely under pants/jeans, but occasionally over), but I'd reserve the Cheryl for the real special occasions (and maybe occasional daytime wear under pants/jeans). Any of you guys gotten any of those cowboy/western style boots from JG?

I recently got some boot trees for my thigh boots, and those only go up just above the knee or so. Anyone else use boot trees for their thigh boots - or are there longer boot trees designed for thigh boots?

Which happens to be the USA branch of Jean Gaborit -

Last year, I ordered two pairs of JG boots myself while I was in Paris on vacation. I can definitely vouch for the service and quality - it took a little more than 2 months to get to me, but worth the money spent and the time waiting for them.

I have a small number of "active" pairs of boots - 2 leather and 1 patent leather, all in black. My next pair that I would consider purchasing could be black patent leather or maybe brown/burgundy leather.

Those knee boots look great - in fact, I think either knee boots or thigh boots go well in those pictures.

At least it is not a spike stiletto heel - since that would have made it much harder to walk on ice especially. Quite a nice pair of boots with a slightly "wedged heel."

Very nice knee boots - what brand are they?

Hello there from the northeastern USA - I've been lurking this forum as a guest for a while - but decided to join it recently. Thank you again for the approval to join the site! I usually admire women in high heeled boots - even though I own one black thigh high, patent leather pair of Biondinis myself and have worn those on certain occasions.
How long did your soles/heels last until you had them replaced?

This is my first post in a while here, since I've been hands full.
That said, earlier this year, I had the heels and soles for two of my Jean Gaborit thigh boots replaced - and this was after having them and worn them to some extent (max once a week) for 10+ and 8+ years respectively.
One pair had about 2.5cm or thereabouts and the other had a slightly higher western heel, about 4 cm.
Spent over 550 USD for the replacements, and worth every cent of that and giving these two pairs at least 10 more years of life.
