I wear heels in the house in front of my partner. She doesn't understand why I want to wear heels and isn't happy about it, even though I have given the same reason over and over again - which is basically they are fabulous pieces of footwear and I want to wear them.

I certainly agree with a previous post that honesty is the best policy.

Sounds like a good mix of your confidence and other peoples disregard, which is the way it should be. If we want to try on heels, why shouldn't we. I should imagine that most of us do it with a genuine view to purchase and are not doing it for kicks. The males and females who live in this place are not ready to let the men that want to wear heels do so.

The assisstants in one of my local shops make a room behind the counter available and I can try heels for size completely at ease. They never make a disparaging remark and are genuinely helpful. Their attitude is that they are there to sell shoes and they don't care who they sell them to.
