  1. About 20 years ago I damaged my anterior cruciate ligament playing football. I could have had surgery to put it right but was advised not too as I did not require perfect knees for my office based job. The knee occasionally gives me pain and clicks and twinges from time to time. Last year I was dancing, not in heels, and I had a sudden painful twinge in my other knee. This has been diagnosed as osteo-arthritis. I took some anti inflammmatory tablets for this but did not get on with them. I could not walk without some pain. In time my knee has improved a lot, I think partly because I have lost 25 pounds in weight. I now get very few twinges from walking or running. Throughout this I have worn heels without any adverse effect and I get no pain from wearing them. Well not in my knee anyway. Hope this helps.

  2. Having acquired over 60 pairs of heels in about three years I decided to try and stop buying any more. Firstly I am running out of space to store them, secondly I am spending a small fortune, thirdly, whilst my wife is aware that I have some, I know she would go ballistic if she found out how many I have. So there it is. NO MORE! So why, today, am I standing in River Island with a pair of gold strap sandals asking if they have them in a size eight? Why am I looking at shoes in Marks and Spencer and Next? Why am I looking at Bananashoes and Italianheels websites. I think if you are looking for a definition of addiction you will find it above. I find buying shoes is such a great thrill. I just wish I could give it up.

  3. I am a great fan of yellow shoes and these are YELLOWWW! I have six yellow pairs myself but not this particular style. On the size side I find that for closed toe shoes it is better to err on the large size. Nevertheless if this is the only size available it may be better to buy them so that you can own such a great pair of shoes. Good luck.

  4. They do look slightly too big but they feel really nice on and are easy to walk in. As for wearing them in public. Who knows? One day I may feel brave enough to wear them. Won't be for a while though. Thanks for all the comments.

  5. They are very easy to walk in. I think in some ways when worn under trousers they are less obvious than shoes with a heel. They came from New Look and cost £20. They also do a similar pair with a closed toe.
