  1. That is so awesome that you are so supportive! He's a very lucky guy. Luckily, my wife is supportive in my love for boots. When I wear it around the house (only short periods of time) my wife would be telling me, "Oooh, are you challenging me on a walk-off?" It was quite entertaining on Halloween, when I dressed up as a Playboy Bunny with thigh high boots. She had a blast dressing me and doing the makeup.:cry1:

  2. I think my first pair was a pair of Nine West knee high boots 4 years ago through Ebay. I remember having to work in them. Talk about a rush. That was before I was married. Now that I have Pleaser Thigh highs for wearing in private, I wonder what my wife will think of me driving in them. :chuckle:

  3. larkofam, Welcome to the forum! I am definitely in the same boat as you. I am more of the private type, straight as an arrow, and just love boots. I looked high and low for a place for men who have similar interests. Found it!

The people here are very cool. We're all friends here. :chuckle:

  4. My wife actively encourages me to wear my thighboots whenever possible, she really loves it and gets very excited at the thought of me wearing my thighboots for her.

That's awesome! I totally agree. When I wear mine, she's like, "oooh, look at you." and she'll run her hand down my leg. Unfortunately, she's pregnant right now, so she can't wear boots since she's somewhat bloated... only a couple more months. :chuckle:

On the subject of square toe thighboots, have you ever thought of getting a pair of thigh high cowboy boots? Thats whats going through my mind at the moment so i then stand more chance of getting to wear them out and about. Just a thought, you can get a nice 4 inch cuban heel or even higher if required.

Honestly, I never knew there was such a thing. hmmm. I'll have to look into that. I think I would prefer something a little more subtle if I were to venture out in public... just a little shy about it...:w00t2:

Do you have any examples of some? websites?

    Thanks!

    Rich

  5. My wife approves, only around the house. It was funny talking to her last night, I was asking, "I wonder if they they have thigh high boots with square toes" and she started talking about stores that may carry them. What's amazing is that, I am the only one that wears thigh high boots around the house. So, for her to recommend certain stores, and times of the season to buy them, is beyond me. I remember when I first bought these boots, it was a little tight, so, she brought out her square toe Nine West boots, and told me to try them on. :chuckle: I guess I consider one of the lucky ones. :w00t2:

  6. I too suffer from Gout. I've had it since I was 25. It's one of those things I wish I never had... For me, it can be on either foot (by the toe) and I am actually battling one on the top of my ankle, right on my clutch foot. Luckily, my wife has car with an automatic. I've used a couple different remedies in the past. The medication I use is Indomethacin, which just rips up your stomach, so, if you ever get this prescribed, make sure you eat something and drink plenty of fluids. I typically know when it's coming, so what I've done which somewhat helps is, drink Black Cherry juice, or even better, real black cherries. Another interesting thing is, freeze leaves of cabbage. Apply it onto the affected area. FYI, it's REALLY cold. Supposedly, there's an enzyme that pulls the crystals out. I am not exactly sure how, but it does offer some relief. As the other posters have mentioned, try to have a balanced diet. Avoid the high Purine foods, and also, reduce the salt intake. It's tough for me since I am a salty guy vs a sweet tooth. Biggest and foremost, make sure you drink plenty of water a day. People who have gout is a candidate for kidney stones. What sucks is, when days I want to wear my vinyl thigh high boots, it is excruciatingly painful, but sometimes, gotta take one for the team. :w00t2: Not a comfortable condition to have, but there are plenty of people out there who suffer from Gout. And what's even better, here, we're heelers. :chuckle:

  7. I am just waiting for the time when fashion shows will start showing men wearing thigh high boots, and have them labeled as "uni-sex" and man, I'll be all over it. I am ready with my thigh-highs.

  8. 36. Started wearing boots around 34 in secret behind my girlfriend's (at the time). I was worried that she would judge me. So, I would wear the boots when going to work, driving in the boots. Loved the feel. and switch shoes before getting out of the car. luckily, I drive 20 miles, so I can enjoy it. Now that I am married, my wife (different from my ex) is very supportive, she knows I love boots, and I wear it around the house occasionally, and she smiles, telling me, "I know you like it.". indeed I do. =D

  9. Dang! I missed it. There was one close by on 10/28. =( I saw this on the news a while back, and thought, Wow! that's really cool. Definitely for a great cause, and also for people like me who are still in the closet about wearing in public, it's a great start. Thanks for the post! I'll keep my eyes peeled for the next event.

  10. Welcome to hhplace, happyfeet73 :w00t2: It's great to welcome another boot lover her. Do you wear your boots out in public or just at home? We are all eager to learn more about you and your experience wearing high heels. :chuckle:

    Hi bubba,
