Here's my pair of thong sandals from Payless also. I actually have worn them in public also. But need a serious pedicure though.

For me a pair of khaki slacks, tan polo shirt, 3" mules. Later traded my mules for my new sandals.

I've had good experences with the Naturalizer store near me. Most of the folks in the store are rather frendly and have stated that there are a few men who buy shoes there. They've even suggested or pointed out styles to try. Though most of their styles are no higher than 3.5" they are confortable for daily wear. However I have been in other store where the sales staff look right by ya.

I had a his & her heel sighting today. I was in a convience store and in walks a guy & gal both wearing tan boots with a 3" heel. They were in and out of the store before I could complement them on their boots.

Nothing like a pair of jeans, turttle neck and a pair of boots.

Way beck in the 70's guys wore platform shoes. I found a pair of cork sandals that I thought looked cool. The salesperson then said they only came in womens sizes and found me a pair. I think they were called corkies. Alas they bit the dust a few years ago, the straps just wore out. Here in the Northeast USA winter boots serve a better purpose. phil

I've been wearing my heels out for a couple years now. I have a pair of mid-calf 3" heels boots and a couple pair of 3" ankle boots that I regularly wear out. With a suit I have a pair of 1.5" heel loafers for public wearing.

Most of my public heels have a rather small heel my wife does not comment much. However if we are going out together she may ask me not to wear any "HIGH HEELS". She doesn't wear anything over 2" heel, I'm working on getting to try something higher.

I'm a size 11 US womens & I think 41/42 Eur 9 UK.
