  1. lol, well you all took this all over the place, but what I was specifically targeting are statements like the following:

"(Or as the Americans say: "alphabetised" - which isn't actually a word)"

Is it so necessary to add the underlined part?

And then this was added to this thread as well:

"I might like to take this opportunity to remind Americans that they do not speak English. They speak American, or American English, but not English"

I am extremely put off by this statement. I thought this was going to be a great site, but I really don't need to be insulted on a daily basis.

The American version of English is not based on the UK version. It is a language that was blended together by the many wonderful ethnic backgrounds that make up our country. I happen to have no English blood in me whatsoever. I'm proud of that.

  2. I've seen this ad in several magazines I like to peruse, and see it as much more tastefully done than some of the other ads in the same magazine. Why do the ads of very young people, mostly naked hanging on each other not bother the moral majority? lol I could swear I just looked at that photo in a magazine yesterday as I was riding a stationary bike at the gym. Possibly could have been an older issue. Babe in Heels

  3. Why do I consistently see posts that Bash Americans for the way we speak?? I am quite tired of looking at a thread and seeing how we are making up words that don't exist, spelling things wrong, not speaking properly, etc........... It seems to me every country has indiosyncrasies that make it's language unique. Regions of American have vast differences in the language we speak. I live in an area where "ya'll" is common for you all, and "yonder" means over there. Someone in another region of our country would be curious as to what I mean by those words, but I have never felt insulted by them. I feel insulted here. I live in a country I love. I respect others, and I appreciate the same. There, my rant is over. Babe in Heels

  4. I like my fridge catagorised logically, as opposed to being in alphabetical order! (Or as the Americans say: "alphabetised" - which isn't actually a word)

Of course it isn't, because the word is spelled "Alphabetized"

But enough American bashing, as it does not belong on these boards and is not appreciated by those of us who are very proud of where we live.

On to the topic of the post:

Anywhere with Cobblestones. The cracks and uneveness make them nearly impossible to walk on with heels. Our entire downtown area was "preserved" and it is just full of roads and sidewalks made of cobblestone.

  5. Only 2 more people answered Yes than No or Don't Care. Just remember, Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder Your eyes and my eyes see the world differently. If someone is happy in their heels, big feet or small feet, then I am a happy camper. Babe in Heels

  6. Nope............here in the USA foot models wear a 9 or a 10. I quote:

"The average mall-crawler's one thing; what about all those leggy models with long limbs and feet to match? Roman Young, an agent at Elite Model Management in Manhattan, confirms that the average shoe size for models has climbed to a 9 or a 10, matching their statuesque height (the average is 5 feet 9 inches or 5 feet 10 inches). I felt a little better when he told me that even high-paid lovelies face foot discrimination; if a model wears a size 11 or 12 shoe, she may find herself cooling her heels instead of strutting them on the catwalk. Young recalls a Gucci show a while back where the models were hired on the basis of who could squeeze, Cinderella-like, into a certain shoe: "You had the most beautiful girls in the world trying to cram their feet into this handmade boot that was like a size 8."

    That comes from this link:

  7. Sorry, dno't agree. I wear a size 9 in US, and there is no way you are going to tell me my legs and feet don't look as good in heels as a woman who wears a size 5. Why do you think fashion models are tall girls? Ever see a foot model who wears really small shoes? Babe in Heels

  8. Hi all, I have a husband who considers himself to be a rather "rugged" individual. He is completely happy with me wearing the heels for the evening. I, however, would enjoy having a man around who is willing to try heels on for me. Even go so far as putting on stockings, etc.... He isn't interested, so I've asked if another male could join us for this. We have lived in the lifestyle of sharing our erotic fun for 4 years. He says no problem with another guy, he just isnt' interested in someone that he would consider bisexual. I've told him a million times that just because a man enjoys heels does not mean he is Bisexual. Is my fantasy way out there? Do other women enjoy "dressing up" a playmate? XO Babe in Heels

  9. I put people like that on ignore almost immediately (even though I'm female, I get called a guy in heels all the time on chat). It isn't the time or energy to deal with idiots. XO Babe in Heels

  10. So many of the shoes coming out are so dainty and feminine to match the lovely dresses I am finding in the stores. It is so nice to see the "grunge" look finally disappearing! My newest shoes for the season........a lovely set of stiletto sandals with a satin bow at the ankle. Babe in Heels

  11. Alex,

    It is www.mariastoychest.com

No extra charge for larger sizes.

I think it depends on what part of the world you are in as to whether platforms are considered attractive or not. I haven't been able to sell enough 7" platforms to customers located in China (and the platform is at least 5" itself).

To each his own. Isn't it a wonderful world?

  12. Have to agree with stilettos there. Who is anyone to judge what someone else is in? This board is full of MEN who are looking for acceptance for their heel fetish, yet a very tall woman is criticized for wearing heels? I am 5'9" tall, and am 6'3" in my heels. I am with a man who thinks it is fantastic! I think I look pretty damn good too. Babe in Heels

  13. I have quite enjoyed spending some time in a chat room on Yahoo. It is located under Fetish, User's Rooms. It usually has some title like Heels, Stockings & Pantyhose. Often the users will go on cam in their dress to show off a new pair of heels. I used to cam almost daily, but other things have filled my time, and I have not been able to. Babe in Heels

  14. I own a website that sells shoes, and the majority of the sizes 14 to 16 do go to men. However, there are many women who wear a size 12 or 13. Do you see them out around town? Probably not, and just because of other people's perceptions that they are "too tall". I am over 6' in my heels, and I am proud of that. I've had people comment to me that my legs look incredible when I am in heels because they are so long. My husband laughs and says that he knows if one more person comments that I am tall enough already and don't need heels, they are probably going to get socked in the face! lol No, not really, I don't believe in physcal violence, but I have pictured it in my head  Babe in Heels

  15. I can't imagine wanting to have permanent contractures in your feet and never being able to go for a hike in the mountains or enjoy a simple game of touch football with friends. I love my heels, don't get me wrong, but I also love being able to take my 2 young boys out and play some games with them. I hope you have looked into all this seriously and thought of future implications. Would hate to see you unhappy. XO Babe in Heels

  16. My husband has stopped at a few roadside vendors and always checked their prices, but they have wanted $150 or more. Also see them on Ebay frequently, but for higher as well. Are they only available through the catalog? I've just always wanted one of those chairs! lol XO Babe in Heels
