  1. I guess it would give more definition to leg length, so the shoe is secondary (except the toe and bottom of the heel), other than that wearing heels changes the way your bottom and hips move, all part of the package. lol I have some jeans which I couldn't wear without platforms as they are longer than my inside leg measurement

  2. I desperately need some new trainers (sneakers) as my running shoes have a floppy sole on one shoe which I've tried unsuccessfully to repair several times. I don't like lots of colours, logos and fussy detail if occasionally I wear them on lazy dress down fridays, not just when running ;)

  3. I can rarely find a shoe I like knowing certain styles (more than heel height) are not kind on the foot if you spend a night out. I'm not a designer shoe fan either, it seems a very narrow viewpoint and bit of snobbery (one of my favourite sandals at the moment I bought in Peacocks about 4 years ago for £20) but I do like unusual styles, and there is no less a master of this extravagant style than Balenciaga (oh if only I could afford to spend this much on shoes, particular like the style bottom row number three in this pic).

  4. I have a pair of boots with metal tips from Leatherworks and they make a distinct high tapping sound on any hard surface indoors and outdoors. They are quite narrow stilettos which I can feel give, quite a frightening experience the first time I wore them outdoors on an uneven surface. I am still trying to wear them in enough to wear more often but they are not footwear you can wear if in a hurry or feeling tired!

  5. I don't know why that didn't occur to me, lol Really love a pair of fendis on her blog, there are a lot of copies in the gladiator stilleto style but nowhere near as nice, and of course I can't find them anywhere ;) Probably outside my budget though, so just as well

  6. How tall are you?

    5ft 5in

Are you happy with your height?

Not really. I feel a lot of fashions only suit those with long legs so would have liked to be a few inches taller

Does your height have any bearing on why you wear heels?

Maybe a little, but it was more my Mum. She's about the same height and always wore heels when I was younger. I find most flat shoes uncomfortable with no arch support leading to pain in the mid foot. When I do wear flats I need to take them off more than heels, to massage the metatarsals

What would be your perfect height?

    5ft 8in would be ideal

How does your height compare to your partner?

It doesn't at the moment. Going out with someone a lot taller, a foot taller, even in high heels doesn't help if walking far. He is used to longer strides and you are almost running in little steps. I used to make fun of his funny walk as he tried not to rush or drag me along. I probably shouldn't have done that. lol

  7. Thanks ;) I'm more of a fan of all things Japanese, so thought I best explain the name. It is more difficult to find shoes I like, when it goes against fashion, much as I like my heels a lot of my stilletos have been ruined just walking over footbridges here and the gaps between paving stones. I wish I could find some chunkier heels that weren't all goth or emily and her black cat.

  8. I've just bought a pair online from heels.com in the US as I couldn't find anywhere listed as a stockist here, but does anyone know? I rarely go to London, but would have thought they'd be available somewhere or maybe it's too small/new a label.

  9. Well, flat boots are more practical for that kind of thing (and it was some time ago, when I discovered dance at university I soon became tired of the bruises). It's difficult to come up with a webname that doesn't sound silly. I've been trying to find a search field in the forum so I don't start a thread that has already been created by someone else but can't find it ;) Is 'search' only available from the toolbar?

  10. I was really pleased to find a forum dedicated to shoes (the only other one I regularly post on is dedicated to videography). Guess that makes me a bit of a geek. I wonder if everyone keeps their RL name private? This name - kunoichi - is female ninja, I've been a long time fan of all things japanese, and I was indoctrinated into martial arts from a young age so it has kind of stuck with me, and still have a liking for things like anime series where there are some quite interesting shoes. Fast approaching forty I'm a bit old for cosplay but like to have my own style with a love of heels and liking for mix of classic and futurist styles. I'm not a shoe collector, probably only own a dozen, but they are all high heels. I would like to find or make a pair of okomo, but anyway Hi! ;)
