  1. nerdy fact for you, Russell from SCOOCH (The British entry) - Last year he took part in a channel 4 reality show he and two other guys formed a GIRL band and then had to hoodwink a live audience. This was more CD based but he did wear heels...

  2. I think Evangeline Lilly just became my favourite female celebrity :-) ----------- She explains, “I tend to like metrosexual men. I like men who have a little woman and a little man in there. I don’t know if that’s just because I’m a little man and a little woman. I don’t mind getting my hands greasy fixing a car or tearing down a wall. So if he’s willing to go shop for me and buy me new clothes….” Lilly says she would even share her new wardrobe adding, “I don’t mind a man in high heels!” -----------------

  3. Friday night: had a workdo, this was a big step in more ways then one as I would be openly wearing heels in front of most of my colleagues. Funnily enough I had bumped into people from work over the past few weekends but none of the guys noticed, one girl did and had a bit of banter with me but never said anything about it after that.

To cut a long story short I got a lot of stick all night from the guys I work with but this was to be expected so I just rolled with the punches.

colleague a: You look ridiculous, your wearing stilletos for crying out loud (they were actually my stack heel Evans boots from this pic http://www.hhplace.org/discuss/guys/7367-awesome_weekend_heeling.html#post125231)

me: yeah, but the good thing is I'm further away from you up here :-)

So after getting bored of the guys comments I went and spoke to a few of the girls from my office, the feedback was a LOT better. In fact by the end of the night I was busting one of the girls for complaining about the pain of her leopard print stilettos as I was still dancing away in mine.

Saturday night, out again with friends this time. I was circliing the club and found a group of girls dressed very wackily, in a kind of Ugly Betty Style. I got chatting to one of them. I said "Nice boots, but not as nice as mine", I then lifted my jeans slightly to reveal the goods. We continued chatting for a while and I got her phone number. The only awkward moment was when one of her friends came and lifted my jeans up and started taking photos which I wasn't too comfortable with. After that club finished I rolled to the next club and after downing some tequilas I had a crazy drunken bout of confidence. I thought, "to hell with hiding them, lets really try something really crazy" So I went into the toilet and made an adjustment to mimic the current style girls go for in the UK. I rolled my boots over the top of the jeans!

I went back to dancefloor and high fived a random guy who gave me the thumbs up as I walked past. I hit the dancefloor and must have been dancing for a good 15 minutes before anyone noticed before finally a couple of girls started pointing and I got chatting to them, one of them started calling me Puss In Boots :-)

After the club closed I put the jeans back over the top and walked through the town centre to get a taxi. We went past a couple of girls who were walking reeeealy slowly. My mate got chatting to one of them and she said she couldn't walk in her heels (they were about 4"), my mate being the kind of guy who will do anything to get further with the ladies offered to do a swap as she was the same size (UK8/42). My mate didn't last more then 10 paces before swapping over again. I actually stayed quiet during all of this as it was just to surreal for me to take in!

Anyway, back to work today and apart from more little jibes from a few of my colleagues nothing else has really been said about Friday.

So all in all that must be 5 weekends on the trot of heeling both nights and the experiment has been a sucess so far, I think my sucess with the ladies has improved 500% so far this year!

  4. hey guys and gals,

just an update really. I've now worn my boots out on the town every weekend since I first posted and so far so good.

A few girls I know have given me a lot of stick about it but I just roll wit the punches. I was having quite a heated debate with a girl last night who was using the old "Only girls should wear heels" argument

    hopefully this pic will work

  5. after years of abandoning the idea of heeling again, Buoyed by Chris's recent positive posts that the world wouldn't start to spin backwards I warmed to the idea again. I went to Lakeside after Christmas and found some nice Cowboy style boots in Evans, size 10. perfect. I initally wore them round Lakeside for the reminder of my journey - ouch, fat blister on my left foot but still quite comfy apart from that. I got some insoles and after about a further 10 days of building up to it I decided to go out Friday night. Pink and Grey striped Jumper with a white shirt underneath, long bootcut jeans and of course the boots. I was absolutely bricking it but by the time I got in the pub for a bit I was ok, moved onto the club and again nothing was said. Afterwards met a girl and went back to hers....nothing said as we sat on her couch or the next morning  when I was sitting on her living floor with them very visible. So happy was I that I decided to repeat performance on Saturday night but this time as no-one seemed to notice on Friday, despite my sudden height spurt and klippity clop noise on the pavement. So this time I actively seeked to see what people thought. Saw some girls I knew in a club and showed them, they thought it was pretty cool and respected me for what I was doing. In another club I saw a girl wearing EXACTLY the same boots but she proper freaked out when I did the reveal. Spoke to the shot lady for about 5 minutes about boots, she was in stripper style platforms herself. That was a pretty awesome weekends socialising, my feet ached on Sunday though.

  6. I wasnt really too worried about bumping into people as the jeans are quite long anyway so cover the heel. I went out clubbing in the tan boots last night and I saw plenty of people I knew and no-one commented

  7. Hi, I used to post on the old forum as kg_uk but havent posted for a while, anyway......

Went to Lakeside today and thought I'd have a shmooze around Lakeside, I was wearing my long GAP bootcuts (Yes! Finally bootcuts available in a mens cut!) and my Faith Boots...

I was quite impressed with the amount of size 8/42's available in NEXT but hey, onto Evans where I purchased these little beauties

The kitten heel is cute and they look great under then jeans, I went back to the car and changed into the Evans boots and walked around in those, they were much more comfortable then the faith boots, mainly due to the lower heel. I then went to Barratts and enquired about their tall-small range and she said they had a quite a lot in and I ended up purchasing these in a 9...

I went back to the car and dumped the rest of my shopping and changed into the Barratts boots to give them a test drive, depite a slightly higher heel they were more comfy then the Evans boots, I s'pose the not so pointy toe helped! I did have a look in Faith but wasnt overly keen on their 9's range so called it a day at 4pm.

After my 5 hour treck round Lakeside, I'm what we Brits like to say "Knackered". But a great days shopping. My first days heeling in a looooong time and it was a blast.

As a footnote I was very impressed with the amount of Stiletto boot styles that seem to be all the rage....just not at my end of the size scale though
