  1. Hi Fellow Heelers,

My last holiday, i've decided to walk as much as possible on heels. Driving to Salzburg was not a problem. If someone noticed the heels, at the short break(s), i didn't care. Those people i would never see again.

Same idea at Salzburg city, nobody know's me overthere and it is a touristic place, so everyone is looking to the scenery (instead of looking to me )

The best part was a (day)trip to Munich with the train. I had no other shoes with me that day, so i had to do it with these http://www.flickr.com/photos/rrhakkie/4013582942/in/set-72157622464109465/ boots. The most difficult part, for me, was the noise in the pedestrian tunnel at the train station. There where some people and it is normaly very quiet, in the early morning. The heels where 'echo-ing' realy loud. I was a bit 'scary', because of the thought "does anyone notice my shoes?". The heels mostly covered by my pants, but the noise..... Well maybe they did, but nobody cares....

As soon the train arrived at Munich main station, there was so much noice and a lot of people, my 'click-clacks' of my heels are almost gone.

A lot of walking in de the city-centre, with all the 'hazards' a city can have, such as bad pavement, escalators, put-holes, gaps and so on.

Slowly i get used to the noice of the heels (and in the crowd nobody hears it)

And at the way back, there was that 'tunnel' again. But now i don't care about the noice, in fact it is a beautiful sound.

Those 10 day's of holiday i've only walked on these http://www.flickr.com/photos/rrhakkie/6683697899/in/set-72157622464109465/

grey booties. (b.t.w. these are a lot quiter ) and the black boots. Now i prefer the black boots, not only i like them more (no wedge) but also the 'click-clack' sound. And..... the heel is in the snow also very useful. It's a sort of 'ice-pick'

If someone is still 'doubting' of street-heeling, just do it! Start at a busy place and you will see, it's not scary, it's fun! .... enjoy

  2. Thanks for your support! Meanwhile i've got a nice collection of heels. (but not that blue pair) They will come..... sooner or later. I'll will be visiting SexyShoes.com (and other US sites) Till now i've bought (right word?- to buy) my shoes at fuss-schuhe.de, italianheels, but also at Wehkamp and Neckermann

  3. Hi to all, as promised in my 'hello' thread, my 'heels' story. (part 1? i can't tell the latest story, but them i am finished, maybe it's nice to 'build' it up?)

I think, it's started the same way as the most of us. Tried some of 'mommy' shoes. I was, maybe 13/14 years old. She had some nice shoes, which i tried. But the heels was a bit 'chunky' and therefore quite stable, but it was a nice feeling. But later i've found a nice blue pair (Sandal) with a more 'sleek' heel. They were a bit more 'unstabile'. That was a kind of 'first love' feeling. Almost every time my parents were out of the house, i've took them on. They had a very soft leader 'toe box'. Approx. 9 cm high heel. Open toe, almost 3 toes were peeping out, closed heel cap, with 1 ankle strap. On top of the toe box, was a kind of a knot. They were the number one.

No real 'outings', a little walk through the garden to the shed in the dark (is not a 'real' outing) So mainly in the house/shed, done some housework for school, cleaning my bike, working on my Modelrailroad, etc. I had the feeling, i could ware them the hole day. But my feet were growing (and the soft leader grows with my feet) so, the shoes slowly becoming 'to big' for my mother. She walked rearly on these shoes, but when she finally want to wear this shoe, she trowed them away. Oh no! ;-)

Luckely i've discovered it 'on time' and picked the shoes out of the trash. Now there mine and can wear them when ever i liked. Walking on those shoes was meanwhile no problem anymore.

But, 2 years later, we had to move to another house, and all my hidding spots are gone. I've paniced and throw them away. :w00t2: What a mistake!i still regret it. Later i've made a drawing of those shoes and secretly still looking for that kind of shoe. May someone can give me a hint....

If i can attach the drawing (apearently not) How can i attach a little image (21Kb) this way? http://www.flickr.com/photos/34651407@N02/

    To be continued?

  4. Hi, I would advice NOT to wear platform-shoes. I've a pair with a 1.5cm platform and they don't 'bend'. You have (at least, i have) not a good 'feeling' what the clutch or your feet is 'doing'. To be honest, i've got a better feeling with the pedals with my 9 cm high heeled boots as with my hiking shoes. The hinking shoes has a (thick) sole with a lot of knobs and groves (profile?) with not 'glide' smoothly over the pedal when releasing the clutch. Don't take any brand new shoes, the (leader)sole must have some 'grip', or use a shoe with a rubber sole. And a shoe with fits firmly on your feet! Try it first on a quiet road. If it feels strange, it will, after a while, no problem. I've driven many miles with heels, for example from Austria to/from Holland, not only on the Autobahn, but also the scenic-roads (mountains), city-traffic etc. And on the last two, you must use the clutch a lot :-) (hopefully not to much english-errors)

  5. Hi, After a long time of 'lurking' at this site, i've decided to join the group. Maybe i can post some 'adventures' and/or share some experiances. I'am dutch, not on our (for tourists, world famous) wooden-schoes (we call them 'klompen'), and just like high heels. And this is the place to be....... Oh yeah, about my name... RRhakkie RR are just initials, and 'hak' means 'heel' in dutch. So, you can translate 'hakkie' in 'heely', or someting like that. See you in the 'guys' section.....
