  1. Not sure if this is the right place to post... Can anyone recommend a store online or real life for stockings and hold ups for the longer leg? I'm five ten, foot size 8, and even so, I have long legs (I need 36" leg when shopping for boot cut jeans). Most high street large sizes in stockings are not long enough for me, does anyone know of any products that are especially long? I am looking for sheer, fish net, fully fashioned, and not for cheap tacky stuff that feels or looks bad. Even M+S now seems to have switched to a Matalan quality in this respect, previously one of my standards. I have heard that there are some good shops on E-bay for this, I would love a recomendation. 2. I use an epilator for my legs. I tried a few cheap ones: they don't work, so I tried an expensive one. Pain wasn't the same issue for me, as I don't have much leg hair, but I wanted to lose the chicken leg effect of shaving regularly. It was wonderful at first, but after a few weeks, i got very spotty and went back to the razor (btw girls, Mach 3 for men seems to be the best for legs) but after a few more weeks returned to the eplilator. For some reason it didn't have the same problem, and I have been using for a few months now to good effect. A quick whizz on the lower leg every week and the thigh after fortnight keeps me nice and silky, and of course, re-growing hair is fine, no stubble,a nd even though my hair is very dark, it barely shows until it's been growing a coiple of weeks. Then I tried it under-arm and found out just what level of pain the guys complain about!! I'll stick with the blade there, thank you very much  Lady Alpha

  3. They're missing the point in necklaces. Doesn't half put the guy off, the lure of the jewel leading his eyes down to the cleavage and knowing he musn't get caught looking. Isn't that off stroke a good business advantage? I certainly love watching them struggle with it!! A tie leading the eye to his 'privates'... Hmm, doesn't have quite the same edge. A well hung man tends to show from a long way away, and closer inspection doesn't reveal much more. Lady Alpha

  4. I wouldnt be able to do that...that's to intense!

Just have a quick try on a quiet street: in your heels, walk by putting your shoes flat down on the pavement, and lifting off flat, which will give you a thigh lifting gait. Takes a little bit of concentration to make this an elegant half trot, with a little heel clip added in. But when you have got that, hold your hands behind your back, and pretend you're a show pony, glammed up to the eyeballs with fancy harness, head plume, blinkers...

  5. your Repairer is your friend!

Most shoe repairers stock a shoe stretcher in one shape or form, at £4.95 + Postage buying on-line makes it expensive

I sell shoe stretcher at £3.60 & 3-4 pound is the typical UK price bracket.

I also only charge a couple of pounds to put them on my stretcher, so why not take the worry away completely & drop them into your cobblers for a stretching!:welcome:

My feet are wide, but 'thin' (top to bottom) so shoes never fit off the shelf. I use a shoe stretcher bought from my local comfort/orthopaedic shoe shop to just ease out the width, which works wonders.

This just leaves me with the problem of choosing right in the first place: no-one is very keen on having their stock strecthed to see if it will fit me, although a couple of shops in London have done this for me with shoes I was trying on. Worth asking.

  6. I run a fetish fair, munch and play club in Huddersfield, and there are always plenty of heels there  Alternative Footwear with their huge range of kinky shoes, up to size 14 take a large stand, althoughthey won't be there in January. There would be no problem arranging a meet there for the north of England high heels fan club: if anyone would like me to, I can organise it. Lady Alpha

  7. I have researched to see if walking in high heels would build the calve muscles up but I can not find any information to support that fact while on the other hand you can look at what few pictures there are of the foot trainers and see that the person wearing them has there calves flexed due to being forced to walk on there toes because there is nothing to rest the heel on.

Walking without the support of the heel will certainly build up the calf muscles. But just watch out with the tightness of the trainer: paradoxically, there is a stablity point when really up on the toes where the ankle, knee and hip joints can almost fall into line, needing very little muscle effort to stay there (seen in some children who develop persistent toe walking instead of settling down onto their heels as most toddlers do). Giving some slack encourages the wearer to slip down from this point and use the calves more. Persistent toe walkers, by the way, have few long term problems other than social acceptability, so long term pony point training shouldn't be too difficult.

I'm interested in collecting as much information as I can on pony boots and walking in them. Your experiences would be welcomed.

  8. I've found the Next range to be largely imaginary: they're listed but cannot be found or ordered. And Next have a nasty habit of doing good stuff one year and junk the next. Duoboots don't get as far as the FMB, they stick at modern stylish meets comfort range. Evans and the like are too comfortable. I'm looking at SexyShoes.co.uk who have a range that's certainly sexy enough, maybe a bit too OTT for day wear even for me, but tempting. However, they have failed to refund me for returned shoes in the past. Has anyone else had experience, good, bad or indifferent from them? Lady Alpha

  9. I've just come across this forum, it looks wonderful, so I've joined and I will take part, being a lover of heels and all that goes with them. But I came across it while searching the net for heeled boots, because it's winter and my vanilla boots have reached the end of their life. I need new boots!! And because my feet are at the top end of the size range AND wide, it's a nightmare finding sexy heels. I keep getting directed to Clark's Comfort range in shops, at which point I ask 'Do I look like the kind of girl who would wear comfort shoes?' Uncomortable silence.... a shrug of the shoulders.. no new shoes  Can anyone tell me where to look for knee boots, that essential FMB, heel between 3 1/2" and 4 1/2", size 8 to 8 1/2, width EEE, narrow calf (40cm)?? :welcome: Lady Alpha
