First it was Manolo Blahnik, then Jimmy Choo, now its probably Louboutin. I've been collecting heels since the late 80's and Choo and Louboutin were really not that well known at the time.

Actually, I think the finest heels combine the best qualities of stripper heels (spike heel, platforms, patent leather, etc) with the quality of designer heels. Louboutin Pigalle 5" heels are an example.

Over the past 20 years I have acquired over 200 pair of pumps, sandals, and boots; all with heels of course.

I've been lurking on this site for a few months, time to say hello. I have made hundreds of pruchases of "female" clothing over the years, but my favorite is the most femimine of all, the High Heel.

I have bought several pairs at high-end stores like Nieman-Marcus (after 40% off), but I have never tried them on. I have a good idea what my size is, so it usually works out. I'm wondering if there might be more resistance at more expensive stores, assuming a salesperson does not want to offend some rich lady who might drop thousands of dollars a year on shoes at thier store.
