I had several pairs of those a while back. They were the most comfortable shoes I had as far as the foot bed and toebox are concerned, I wore them for hours and hours at a time. i hope you enjoy them!

As long as you feel that the shoes your are wearing will allow you step across the line in style, comfort and/or pizazz, then why the concern?

I agree with Francis. Measuring from the ball(vertex) to the heel is how I think of it.

I started noticing an effect high heels had on me at around 13-14. I did not so much remember the person by who they were, but what and how high they were in. After that I was hooked and the feelings are relentless.

I personally like shoes without platforms. I think it is a kind of "bondagey" thing? Plats look great with the perfect feet, its like they are on their own stages for all the world to see. Stillettos without plats are also more felinish and femine looking in my opinion as well, thats why I love to look and wear!

I feel that it is the sensuality of the color black that drives the popularity of the color choice. Plus I think marketing has associated the color black in shoes, lingerie(stockings), and outer clothing (the miniskirt or dress, black leather) to be the choice of color for the "bad" girl and not the supposed color choice of the girl next door. I love being bad!
