looks like the thread has been deleted. damn, I was just going to stir things up a bit by posting a pic of meself...

Personally I've tried to register twice there, but don't get that mail... I would've supported the kids there, I guess, with a statement along the lines of "a man in heels is like a woman in trousers."

Or maybe I just would've wondered how long something that's fashion for one gender will have to be out of use for it to be unheard of for that same gender to start using it again. (AFAIK heels was introduced as mens footwear? In the west, at least. And as for dresses, as that was mentioned - I was born the year that dresses for boys (in Europe) was last used. And I'm not particular old...)

And I might have wondered how long time it would take for one gender to aquire the other genders fashion; trousers for women got widely accepted - when? Sixties, wasn't it?

You have to go back in time - those threads all got deleted: The one that was there first (and got posted about here) got deleted - but that one was said to have evolved into "dirt-throwing" and such. The next thread didn't contain any bad language at all, just good posts. It got deleted (just after I had answered a couple of posts.) The third thread - in which I asked why the second thread got deleted - got deleted. Without any explaination. For me, that speaks volumes...

Well - since we're into corrections here: Norwegian (bokmål): høye hæler Norwegian (nynorsk): høge hælar "høyhæls" (in one word) is used in other combinations, most likely a performance (like 'høyhælsdansing' - high heeled dancing - but it's an unusual combination.) High heeled shoes would translate into 'høyhælte skor/høghælte sko' (an that concludes the Norwegian lesson.) Oh, and Danish: høje hæler
