he he ... well spotted, sleekheels.
I hadn´t noticed.
Here´s another with a different picture of the same ladies (wearing the same boots, of course)

I show my first pair of boots on your board
I´ll second bluejay´s comment. They look great.
Can you give us any details please?
Thanks

I voted pointed, but I don´t like them too pointed. I´ll join the almond camp.

Like several others here, I use ballerinas sometimes as slippers for around the house - comfortable, and easy to slip on and off. I have worn out a couple of pairs, and currently have one brown pair in suede, and one black patent leather pair. As with most "women´s" shoes, there is a huge variety of styles. But wearing high heels is much more fun

Here´s an unusual source. Scroll down particularly to the 4th picture...

I confessed to my wife one evening, several months after I had started wearing heels. She took it well, and actually found it cool. She even bought me a pair of thigh-boots for my birthday once. But we agreed that I would not wear them in front of the kids, and I don´t heel in public, so it´s very much a private thing that only the two of us know about.

I agree that it´s a lot of work doing this sort of diy. As I mentioned in the thread you linked to, I´ve altered several pairs of boots, mostly by opening the seam up the back, removing a wedge-shaped strip from each side of the join, and sewing back up again. But it takes me a long time, and there is a lot of trial and error involved, although i avoided the hamburger effect on my fingers by using a thimble. If you can find a local repair shop that can do the work, that would be the best option and should not cost too much. I first tried this, and after some asking around was directed to a lady who did a good job. However, I´m shy and retiring as far as heeling is concerned, and I found the experience of having to try on the boots in the middle of her shop for the fitting, combined with her disapproving look, put me off a further visit. Good luck!

Pull-on boots tend to be large around the ankles if they are leather, so I don´t like them so much. Knee-high zip-up boots are great, especially if the zip goes all the way up - it´s a lovely feeling when the zip reaches the top and the boot fits snugly around the leg. But I think lace-ups provide the best fit. I´m still looking for the right pair of lace-up stiletto knee-high boots, but I have a lovely pair of flat (2cm heel) knee-high lace-ups which I have for everyday wear.

They are absolutely beautifull I wish I had a pair like that but just in black
Thanks. They did them in black as well - you might still be able to get them, but they only go up to size EU42.
Maybe you should check out ebay.de - I saw some on there recently.
-
Glad you like them. Yes they are comfortable, although i have not stood around or walked in them for very long. They are a size EU42 and not too pointy, so wide enough for my feet.

There's no 'high heel' thrill as I don't consider 9cm's to be high and I have some 13cm heels (no platform) but I absolutely adore them nonetheless! Unfortunately I can't find any pics of them on the net. I might take some pics and post them on the forum.
That´s high heel enough for me!
Any higher than 9cm is becoming uncomfortable for me, although I have up to 13cm heels. Maybe I need to practice more.
Congratulations on your shopping trip - looking forward to seeing the pics.

I have mostly black, but also one red pair, one grey pair and two white. I would get more white boots - there´s really something about them that I find difficult to resist, apart from them being so darned difficult to keep clean! Sleekheels - you have some great heels! I particularly like the blue Faith ones and the red ones in your earlier post.

Wanna trade? My legs are to skinny for most boots.....
He he - me too.
I guess I should take the opposite of all the good advice here and eat a lot more cake!
I remember my wife once bought a pair of boots that were a real tight fit on her calves, but after a couple of times wearing them the leather gave enough that they fit just snugly.
So just endure a couple of days in them and they should stretch a bit.
Good luck.

Duo is a good option and they have a resonable selection of styles. But with my thin legs I find that even if the boots fit on the calf, the ankles are usually too baggy. I´ve taken a pair of scissors to about five pairs of boots in order to slim down the leg and, as far as the boot allows, the ankle as well. I mostly undo the rear seam, cut a long thin wedge from either side and the sew them back up. They look OK on the outside, although I often find the lining difficult, so the inside of the boot can be a bit messy - no matter if they are comfortable. I once detached one side of the zip to remove a strip of leather, but this caused problems at the ankle when sewing up again. On another pair I undid the front seam, but had a few problems with sewing the tongue (?) at the top of the foot back on. The only other option is to wear a pair of legwarmers inside the boot, but this is impractical on warmer days!

I just voted "As much as possible but not in public", which unfortunately is even more restricted as it´s also not in front of the kids. I sometimes wear 2 inch block heels out and about, but I don´t think they count as heeling.

Just ordered a pair of 6 inch heeled Monica boots from italianheels.com. The wait begins.
I´d be interested to hear what you think of them when they arrive - I´ve been thinking about ordering from italianheels as they have a number of really stylish boots.
And can we see some pictures of you in them?
-
Forgot to add - I don´t know any other men that do this, but I´m sure lots do and I just don´t notice
-
I wear "women´s" jeans more than "men´s" these days - they are usually more comfortable and better fitting due to a little stretch. Lots of women´s shoes - not counting the high heels which are for private use only, I have several pairs of flat knee boots and ankle boots that I wear routinely including to work (although under jeans). Other pieces include leggings (mostly under jeans on cold winter days), smart trousers, shorts, pullovers, coats. I sometimes borrow stuff from my wife. So yes. lots. I really don´t think people notice or care unless it really is obviously an item made for women.

Looking at those last few pictures - it´s amazing how extreme heels and overknee/thigh boots now seem to be a must-have for celebs, whereas a couple of years ago the thigh-highs at least were mostly associated with the "Pretty Woman" look. Not that I´m complaining
-
Awtucs I remember those - I regret not buying some.

These are very nice looking boots: Well done !
Why do we (guys) like stiletto boots so much ?
Our men's boots are so boring and ugly compared to them isnt-it ?
For me , they are like a work of art. I guess this is why I like them
Thanks. I´m glad you and others like the boots.
Yes, I agree about the "work of art" idea - that´s why I find men´s shoes so boring, and what I look for mostly in heels. Stiletto heels are often so elegant, although they have to fit with the rest of the boot.
I think Buffalo do some nice looking boots with a classical shape. Check them out at www.buffalo-shop.de. (No connection with them - just like to shop there!).
I have some knee boots in a similar style - I´ll post a pic when I get the chance.

Like many here, I wish I had smaller feet because the choice of styles is simply much better, although having EUR 42 is not too bad. Another reason is that I have thin legs, so that with smaller feet, the shaft width of boots would fit me better rather than being too wide which is usually the case.
Wearing high heels as a parent with elementary school-age kids?

I take a similar view to hh_pe. My wife is OK with me wearing heels but we agreed that I would not whilst the kids are around and I've never worn anything more than a 6cm block heel outside anyway. I have various flat boots including overknees that I wear under my jeans. My kids (they are now approaching teenage) have seen these and not taken much notice.
I agree that most kids would be cool about it, but at school it only takes one to cause a lot of trouble and I'm not taking the risk for what for me is just a bit of fun when heeling.
