  1. I am not stuck in the conventional sense. At least I still have a bit of a choice. I have had a love of heels for years and this interest has had a way of just sneaking up on me. Flats are uncomfortable to me now and I am down to my last pair anyway. So, unless the event calls for worn out summer sandals in the pacific northwest then I am going to be in heels. I do wear medium heels to work but I am never out in anything less than 2 inches. Strangely the only thing that keeps me in heels everyday is the fact that I am only willing to buy heels in the first place. There are moments when I feel a "practical" bug, but they never last long enough to get to the shoe store. So my morning options include heels and...

  2. I often wear heels all day at work on most days. Most of the time I take them off when I get home but not always. I think the average would be about 10 to 12 hours on a work day. I am currently making it a point to stay in heels longer during the evening. I see that there are some here that like to wear their heels 24/7. Though I find that to be an interesting idea I think every-waking-moment is sufficient for me. After all I doubt my spouse would enjoy getting kicked in bed.

  3. Aren't corsets great? I don't wear them all the time but I have a few which I love. There are so many sumptuous styles and fabrics available nowadays I feel spoilt for choice. I fantasize about being rich and being able to afford all of them. Maybe even having a maid to help me tighten the laces too. When I've got pumps or Mary-Janes on I often wear an ankle bracelet. I have some with little bells and trinkets on and I enjoy the noise they make as I walk around.

OMG yes. I wear them as much as I can get away with. At the moment I only have 2. An under bust and an over bust style. If I were rich it think it would be more corsets, more shoes and more education. All 3 for the fun of it.

  4. I'm sure the guys would be interested to hear that you have a dress that needs to come off before you can work the buckles on your shoes :)

    Yup, guys love it.

I think it's the bust, waspish corset and legs that gets them, but now that you mention it, I think the fact that I am almost stuck in it might be a turn on for some if and when they find out. My partner seems to like it.

Along that vein, I find that ankle straps on shoes and wearing anklets can be very attractive for many. Both bring subconscious associations with bondage.

  5. What sort of 3 inch plus heels are fastest to run in?

    platforms?

    thick square soles?

    heels with deep treads?

    ankle boots?

    strappy shoes?

3 inch and no more. I never wear more than 3 inches to work. I am kind of tall. I have not thought about it, but it would have to be something that stays on the foot well, or you just have to walk.

    Just run on your toes.

  6. I love pointy toes. I have the cursed German second toes so my feet are pointy to begin with. Rounded shoes just hurt but I gladly deal with it in the name of fashion. I find extremely pointed shoes to be unattractive, at least for me. They remind me of Renaissance shoes and the such.

  7. Could you use an epilady or sugar? I use Moom hair removal and it has gotten to a point were the hair hardly ever comes back. Moom never sticks to skin and I even use it for my bikini area with very minor amounts of pain. Of course, I have been waxing for years. Would it be a big deal with your friends if you shaved your legs? I have had a few guy friends who have and they have never gotten more than the occasional question. I made a boyfriend shave once even  One excuse: Maybe you girlfriend just likes it better that way. Fishnets will hide all but the worst leg hair. I dated a hippy once who never shaved her legs and she would just wear a pair of black fishnets when she wanted to be fancy. It worked for her, but if you have really heavy leg hair I might not. Give it a try.

  8. I think that I always have that one pair that I love more than the others and I will wear them till they are dead. They are typically my casual shoes that I wear on days when I want to be comfortable or simply lazy. Conversely I have a pair that is by far my hottest, but even an hour on my feet turns into a lesson in pain and humility.

  9. I drive in heels all the time. I really don't have a problem with it. Well, mules are a problem, but then I just drive barefoot and spare myself the hassle. If I were ever pulled over I could slip them on again without anyone being the wiser.

  10. Yes, today actually just a few hours ago. I often need to run for a bus. Especially if I have spent to long flat ironing my hair only to remember that my partner has the car for the day and I am about to miss the last commuter bus. I would say that I am rather fast in heels too.

  11. I have not had a man try to take my shoes of and do anything with them. That would creep me out a bit. I have had guys try to get my dress off because of my shoes. I had a boyfriend who loved to give me foot massages when I finally took them off, but he was patient enough to wait. He was good too, I often could not wait to get them off.

  12. I Think it depends on what I am wearing. I have a few dresses that I have to put on after my shoes because I cannot work the little buckles otherwise; especially if I am wearing a corset as well. My "clubwear" tends to be a bit edgy. I have a pair of 5 inch patent pumps with 3 straps over the center of my foot. They can be a real trick to get into or out of in a hurry.

  13. I think it depends upon the day. Some times I feel vulnerable in them, especially if they are toward the edge of my ability to walk in. There are other times when I feel in charge and in control. I find the later is happening more and more.

  14. I think I have been influenced quite a bit. I will admit that I have a bit of a shoe fetish and I had some unhealthy prejudices against it. I wore flats most of the time out of guilt and some unhealthy need to fit in at the office. Well, after a year of lurking on this site I have begun to feel better about myself and I am wearing heels regularly again... very regularly. I even enjoy that awkward feeling I get when I try to wear flats for the first time in a week. I am not sure how much of what goes on here is real, but I don't care. A lot of good advice can be found.

  15. I really like to look good but I often feel sorry for all of the people I see who feel that they need to cram themselves into a little mold. I think people should wear what looks good on them, and not what some fashion designer made for the fall 09 season. There are 6 billion people out there and just a few individuals it seems. :)

  16. A couple of years ago I went on holiday to a place with pebble beaches and so I bought a pair of crocs to wear on the beach and to swim in. I ended up living and dying in them, they might be the ugliest shoes ever concieved but by god are they comfy!

I agree. I would hate to see them go. I cheer anyone who wants to live in their crocs rather than inflict their feet with the shoes that I prefer to wear. I love heels but I know what I am doing to myself and I think the beauty in wearing heels comes from my choice to do so. :)

  17. I see more Chinese woman wearing tall heels than anyone else and I am not sure why that is. Perhaps it is a height thing. Second to that I would say black women. Not so much admirers, but there seems to be an Idea with many of my black friends that it is more adult. I am tall and interracial (African/German) and I have found that flat and frumpy just does not work with my frame and features.

  18. She could lose a great deal if this continues. It would be sad to know that it happened without her knowledge. Perhaps you could let her know what the symptoms mean and let her make up her own mind. Who knows, she may chose to become stuck of her own free will. I do not think her problem is anything that a few daily stretches cannot fix.

  19. No, I am not stuck in the technical sense, but I think that I would like to be. I do everything in heels but sleep in them, and no, I do not stretch my calves. I get some soreness and feeling of awkwardness when I walk flat footed now and so far I am fine with this. Of all the things that I might miss if I have my way, I think swimming would be it. I think I will give it a while and see were this adventure takes me. I find it hard to believe that I could truly get stuck to a point were I could not stretch my way back down.
