  1. This is just the thread I've always wanted to post but never thought I would get any replies!! I am in the same boat as the OP, I haven't left home yet and need to ensure any packaging is discreet before I order. eBay is good for discreet packaging, I always leave a note to the seller via Paypal saying "this item is a gift for someone I live with, would you be able to package it discreetly?" This has worked everytime, apart from those that send the shoes in a bag, but even though I can feel the heels in them, for someone who has no idea whats inside, they can't always guess straight away. Can I ask that we all post pictures of the packaging we've received our shoes in from online retailers? That way we can decide ourselves if it's worth the risk of being found out or not. I would like to see the Amazon.co.uk packaging, because if it's just Amazon branding, that's fine, but if it says Amazon Apparel or Shoes/women's shoes then that's a big no go for me! I have attached pictures of the Office.co.uk and Next.co.uk packaging, they are fairly safe as it doesn't show that what's inside is women's and their shoes always come in boxes. So if you don't mind people knowing you are buying clothing then this is fine, but if you have people like those I live with that are likely to ask you to show them what you've bought, you might want to reconsider.

  2. Don't believe that one HappyFeat! Those clicks are noticed, believe me, wherever you go! You may not see a reaction, but noticed you are!!!!!!

mateuszpobog you might try rubber taps on the toe and rubber heels to muffle the "click."

Where exactly can you get rubber heels? I searched for ages once (not recently) and pretty much gave up.
  3. Yeah I have tried street heeling, at 5.30am down my dead quiet street in the dark and then changed into my normal shoes at the bottom of the road and then on through the busier industrial estate and into the station... but that's only been with rubber wedges which never go too high are way too bouncy. The problem for is the sound, mens shoes do make similar noises but the sound of a stiletto heel is very distinctive and when I did first try a non-wedge heel the noise was too much and I had to walk on the grass until I could get to my 'safe spot' to remove them! Anyway street heeling is indeed very very different than doing it at home, and don't get me wrong, I loved the sound the heels made for the 5mins I tried to endure it before diving onto the grass, but until I can get over the confidence I need silent heels and I do have some but they don't feel 'proper' for the above reasons (low height/bouncy) I wore some 4" pointy toed shoe boots by Faith one morning and they felt great but like I said it was only for a matter of seconds before I had to take them off, the sound was just overpowering and I chickened out!

  4. saw these on ebay with the starting price of $999.99!!!

if i tripped over a bag full of money between now and xmas i'd buy them for myself! they were advertised in women's size 12, perfect for me. if i had them, geez, where would a guy wear a pair of thousand dollar shoes made for a woman?!!!

Indeed, I would do the same as you, and I'm also size 12.

  5. Why buy from the US for something as standard as this? Next have decent ankle boots that go up to size EU43. I have a pair (43 wide fit) and they seem to run a touch big. Got them in the January sales last year for £20. Evans probably have this sort of thing - I've not bought there but others say they run quite big. Amazon UK is also worth a look. For example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hush-Puppies-H23504000-Ladies-Integrity/dp/B000TZLBX6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1228169899&sr=1-5

Yeah those are much nicer but the problem is heel noise! I need stealth! I have bought from Next, and I like their styles but the ones I would consider are not as passable as the ones in my OP. Have you bought from Amazon.co.uk apparel before, and are they packed discretely? Cheers!

  6. Hi all, I want to get these:

    http://www.payless.com/Catalog/productdetail.aspx?ItemCode=64007&ProductColor=Black&Width=Regular&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensNewArrivals&BLC=WomensNewArrivalsNewArrivals

    On sale!!

But 1: I'm in the UK (they don't ship international) and 2: I'm a closet heeler (don't want family to know yet) and last time I imported shoes from the US it said 'women's shoes' on the customs paper, it was lucky I received the parcel and not someone else.

Is there anyone in the US that's willing to help me out? First to buy the shoes then ship them out to me while ensuring it's classed as a 'gift' or something similar that keeps it discrete, perhaps 'clothing' if you need to be specific.

I think it goes without saying that I shall make it worth your effort, you name the price for postage and also for yourself for the time spent. I have more money than sense :w00t2: We do this via PayPal obviously, you could even create a eBay listing for this if you want to keep it secure.

I know these shoes in particular are nothing special but they are ideal for me as a newbie street heeler to get some confidence and agility before moving onto my proper collection :lmao:

Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss it privately.

    Many thanks!

  7. If you live outside of the US and want to buy Payless shoes, contact Rolandah on ebay or at yahoo.com; she can get them for you and for a fee will ship them overseas. She takes paypal.

That's cool but the last time I imported shoes it had 'women's shoes' on the customs label on the front, i'm a closet heeler and it's lucky I was the one to receive the parcel not somebody else! Won't import again but at least the shoes that I got are actually my favourite. Just been on the US eBay for size 12s and there's a lot of very nice styles, it's torture though because I can't buy them even though money is not a problem!
