  1. I have a problem with two of my toenails They are very dark and hardened. My doc thought I had an infection so put me on the most hideous tasting anti fungal and sent snippets of my nails off for tests. It came back negative I asked my doctor what else I could do and he simply scratched his head. Does anyone know of any foot specialists who can help? I want to be able to bare my feet this summer and wear my heels :winkiss:

am i seeing a bit of a trend developing here!

    more purple,very nice.

can i come shopping with you!!!!!!!!!

Of course you can :winkiss: Always looking for a shoe shopping buddy. My friends dont wear heels on a daily basis so dont understand my craving for shoes

Tbh I have only got 3 pair of purple shoes. The ones I originally posted from Dune are for everyday wear (I kid you not). Then the Office pair I got last night which are very sparkly and a nice purple and gold pair

I am not seeing much of the hidden platform variety though which I love

  3. Bought these today. The purple I instantly fell in love with :winkiss: I liked the white but hated the heel colouring. However a guy (who told me he wished he could wear heels himself) told me to try it on. I did and loved them. They are very princessy type shoes so they would have to be worn with certain outfits But yeah I am happy I am on the lookout for platform boots as I returned the last pair (they are very fetish to me)

Hey those look like a Christian Louboutin pair that were on sale a few months ago. Stunning. I was gonna buy off net a porter but they were retailing at £525

  5. I thought it would be a good idea to post pics of our latest shopping purchases

Can someone letme know if I am being a complete tool and we are not supposed to do this. I have tried to go through all the forum rules but may have missed something

I bought these 3 beauties today

I love item 3 the extended platform and heel as I told the shop assistant they are quite kinky. I received a few surprised raised eyebrows when I made that comment :winkiss: However dont like the boots around my calf as too wide so if anyone knows where I can get boots with a hidden or not hidden platform in black please let me know

Would be good if everyone else could post their purchases so we can ooh and ahh

  6. I think I have I live in Central London and always wore flats (only wore heels when on a night out) as people always said that I was being a bit vain/fancied myself wearing heels (especially high heels). So I always wore flats so I blended in However this summer the platform shoes were in full force and I found myself buying and buying however everything I had been told previously kind of stopped me as I thought I was the only woman bar celebrities wearing high heeled shoes in London Till I found this site and now I am just being myself and do not really give a toss what anyone says behind my back anymore. Nor do I care when women come over to me and tut tut or give me disapproving glances I think some women associate heel (especially 3inch and above) wearing with being slutty, being an attention seeker

  7. Sorry to go off at a tangent, but I simply adore Dune shoes and boots, they usually look really classy and even the 4" stilettos are great to walk in. Dune were the first pair I tried on and bought in a shop in their Whiteley's London branch. The shop assistant was a little taken aback to start with, but we both held our nerve lol

I have a search set up on ebay for Dune stilettos and if there is a God, one day they'll be a purple pair of satin Chantel's in a size 8 just for me!!

    Anyway, back to topic :winkiss:

    I hear ya

At the mo their collection is pretty boring as well as the stuff on sale but I have seen some hot pairs in a magazine which should be out in the next few months (probably as soon as the current sale ends)

I just dont get how Dune can feel so comfy whilst Aldo (patent leather shoes) feel like you are walking on shards of glass

  8. Name: Yin

    Age: 27

    Gender: female

    Location: London, UK

    Occupation: student (yet again)

    Height: 5'2"

    Weight: 7 stone

    Shoe size: European 37

What's your favourite heel style: hidden platform heels

What's your favourite shoe style: sandals

Do you wear your heels outside: Yeah

    What is:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: 4"

(:nervous: Your highest heel height: 5"

    How often do you wear:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: Not often enough, about a couple of times a month perhaps, work depending

( Your highest heel height: As above

Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: Generally tights with boots and shoes

Anything else you wish to add: Heels make me feel like my legs are the sexiest things on earth. My legs and thighs are toned already but heels just make them longer. Even better, I have found a site of people who are just as potty about heels as I am :winkiss:

  9. Hi there, great post, I'll try and reply as best I can :winkiss:

Pain on your toe: some shoes are worse than others, and some are fine. Is it just a small toe box pushing your toe in? How long have you had those shoes? It might get less painful over time. I nearly bought a pair of these, I'd be interested to know if they do get better. What size shoe are you? You say you don't feel towering in Office/Dune shoes (both brands I also love), but do you mean that's a bad thing, or just that you don't feel the pain of wearing those brands?

Inclines: I'm always warey of dropped kerbs (where like you say the pavement slopes down to the road) particularly on cold/rainy days as I have actually slipped before. Just be careful and walk away from the kerb where it doesn't slope as much. You just need to look where you're walking and plan around it. I don't ever really find them too much of a problem nowadays now that I wear heels more often than not.

Other people's looks: I doubt they're looking disapprovingly, they're probably envious. People looking is probably just them wishing they had nice shoes or could walk in heels as high as you. Sure, it's jealousy, but they're probably looking in admiration, not wanting you to fall over. Don't think about it, most girls think you look great.

Also just like to ask how you deal with the attention for the guys? The other week I went to a dinner and was a pair of silver Dune heels and the police officers on patrol actually stopped to stare. I really need to get over my shyness

    Thanks roz.

Dune shoes are so comfy. I have bought some sickening heels there and love them. I dont feel any pain or discomfort whatsoever. However with the Aldo Atlantic City range (in fact I have come to realise it is the Aldo patent range of shoes) the hard patent rubs against my little toe making it uncomfortable only after 5 minutes of wear

    I am a size 4.

I want to wear the hot orange patent ones I got from Aldo on Thursday night.

How do you deal with the grip on your heels to ensure you dont go skidding over something you hadnt noticed?

  11. I would like advice from the more seasoned veterans, male and female.

I am a 27 year old female who loves heels. However I like more hidden platforms or platform shoes. I love the way my legs look in them and all that jazz

However I just need pointers with some of my shoes especially those that cause pain at the end of the night.

I find I put a pair of shoes on (Aldo patent Atlantic city) and my little toe feels like it is on fire almost immediately. Please note that this is a size up too. However I wear Dune/Office or any other shoes and I don’t feel like I am in towering heels and dance all night.

One other thing that scares the living daylights out of me is walking on strange surfaces. In London especially at street lights we have an incline which is designed so that wheel chairs/prams can get through easily. I am also terrified of skidding on surfaces

Last but not least is other people, I know I look decent in heels but at the same time when I go out especially when I am getting to my destination the looks on some womens faces is similar to that of a voodoo priestess wishing ill on someone

So to summarise my post, how do I deal with :winkiss:

    a) pain on my little toe

    :nervous: inclines and strange surfaces

    c) heel grip ability

    d) other people who wish me to fall flat on my face

    Any tips you guys

  12. :-? Glad I found this site. I am a 27 year old London female and heel lover For the past few years I tried to stem my love for heels as the extra attention I got from wearing them made me feel bashful/shy However this year with platforms heels all around I have finally caved :o and my shoe shopping has spiralled out of control. I dont really care though as I dont spend much else on hair or makeup (I buy make up like once a year) and make most of my own clothing I will have questions to ask about walking on different surfaces and how to improve the grip of my soles in relevant threads. Dont worry I will do a search first I must ask the females though, how do you cope with all the attention from guys when in heels
