  2. Ah so it was you who bought these from Ebay. :cheeky:

I used to have the same pair years ago except they were black and to be honest the quality was questionable. The soles on my pair started to come apart when left in the car in a warm day.

Hopefully your ones weren't part of a dodgy batch.

Im watching a pair of boots online. Cheap but likely half a size small so some stretching might be needed.

Not sure if im going to be able to walk in them.

    Might have to just dream......

    they are tony bianco

    what do you think??

What size are they? These are similar to a pair of TBs I have now and fairly easy to walk in due to the big platform.post-25726-0-72619400-1432974620_thumb.j

    Happy new year to everyone

back to work and continuing my journey in heels

santa bought me a lovely new pair of wittner 'geranium' long boots in sand suede. 11cm block heel and comfy as anything

but today i wore them around town and on train with skinny jeans. No hiding these heels, and the contrasting colour makes them stand out.

The only good thing is from the front they look like and number of the hundreds of pairs of work safety boots etc

Oh, and did i mention how freakin comfy they are. On run out special for $60

    thank you santa

If I am not mistaken, Wittner has copied one of the earlier YSL designs of the Tribute boot. If the front of your Wittner boots (near the toes) has two vertikal seams, then it really is a nearly identical copy. Better a good copy than a bad own design, right ? ;-)

To be honest, I liked your Wittner patent pumps that also have the YSL design (sold out from YSL) so much that I wanted to buy them, but also couldn't get them anymore from Wittner...

Yes YSL have definitely influenced Wittner in the past and my boots do have the 2 vertical seams you mentioned. I've sold the pumps that you liked, however I do notice them advertised locally in a variety of designs (patent/leather/snake skin) on the 2nd hand market.

2 years ago, I discovered the YSL Tribute Two booties online. Saks in the US had them in a size IT 42 (which would - in retrospective - have fit perfectly), but at that time I wasn't sure whether I would need a 41 or 42. As I am living in Europe, the customs hassle when needing to return them was too much for me, so I thought "hey... they will be back in the next season, as this is a classic model, so I will just wait and buy them / try them on in a YSL boutique in Europe."

One season later, YSL decided to no longer produce the Tribute Two booties, an all time classic. Bummer.

I searched for the boots online (and in the YSL boutiques), but could only find a single pair at boutique Biondini in Paris in size IT 41. I was torn whether I should order them at full retail price, as in the meantime I had bought some knee-high boots from YSL and discovered that they do run quite small. Size 41 would fit, but it would be on the small side.

So... I waited for the fall/winter sale 2014 and for Biondini to put this pair on sale. But... Biondini decided to keep them at full price. I didn't buy them.

But... I put them on my to-buy-list with the corresponding Farfetch link and checked every now and then whether they would be put on sale, or be reduced via any special coupon I would get. One week ago, Biondini did not only reduce them by 10 or 20%, but took a whopping 50% off. Click... Click... ordered...

And here they are - as expected, on the small side and need some breaking in. First, I need to take them to my cobbler for putting a Vibram sole on anyway...

Nice YSL boots! I have a pair of Wittner boots that are quite similar to the YSL design and love the slender heel :)

    Enjoy them!

Yay... my Louboutin Bianca's did arrive today. Totally in awe by the boots , but the little red bag with the replacement tips is missing :-?...

I thought it might be nice not to just post a picture, but a video. This way, I also learned that those videos from bloggers that look so effortless require LOTS of effort in fact, just e.g. the lighting. I don't have any video lighting sources, so in order not to have a hard shadow, I dimmed the lights... which made my SLR not focus correctly anymore and the iPhone movie become a bit blurred. Anyway... I hope that the quality is still sufficient to get a glimpse of how nice the boots look like. Size (IT) 41.5.

Beautiful knee high boots! Have fun with them :)

  8. As for what others have said, the heel-toe stride is the way to do it however the trade off is the wear on the heels and flex it can induce. I know that some block heels have more of a tendency to become lose at the back and start to "wiggle" compared to stilettos and placing too much weight on the heel.

For example, one of my block heel boots had this wiggle in the right boot as I suspect the previous owner drove in them often (heel flexing inwards while resting on the pedal) and another better quality pre-owned stiletto ankle boots is permanently angled in as well but not loose at all.

Hope your boots come back better and ready to wear again :)

  9. Hi there petey86 glad to see another person from Melbourne Australia here on hhp

What area do you live in , I'm out west in Werribee , great place Melb to

Be a heeler , I've been doing that for years with no drama & plenty of

Positive. Comment cheers & hope to read more of your adventures

    Cheers Malinheels

    Hey there mailinheels,

Thanks for the comments. Im in the northern suburbs of melb and to be honest it wouldnt be the best area to go around in heels.

I did read some of your outings and have to admit that seems like fun. Good to hear from another aussie :)

  10. I actually think they are the Lita Espana boots that were made in spain and limited in numbers. Does it say "made in spain" on the sole? Also that jeffrey campbell logo was used in other styles too as i have the "Areas" boot that has the same logo.

  11. I have the exact same bongo pair. Cept I have several pairs also in candies and black.

I have a pair of shoes very similar to the pair in the middle except the heel is thick like the pair to the right.

It's good to be honest with her about the shoes. Been married 25 yrs mow.

    Melbourne Florida or Australia.

Oh. I never wear the bongo boots anymore.

I'm from Melbourne Australia and in fact my Bongo boots are up for sale now.

  12. Great collection! Heels can be addictive, I find myself always always checking out stores or websites for different styles and colors. Its great that you can share your interests with your spouse. I too have an understanding wife which is great when we go shoe shopping. I also am at the point where a I am not comfortable to wear them publicly but I can not wait to put a pair of heels on when I get home from work. Enjoy your heels and congratulations!

Thanks for the kind words :) Yes it can be addictive however i tend to keep it under control by selling off another pair when I buy a new pair as to not overload the collection.

Nice purchases Petey. Getting a good collection going so enjoy when you get the chance.

Does you fiancé share you passion for heels, that is does she wear and have a great collection?

She doesn't wear heels that often and when she does, its the usual items like ankle boots with an 8cm heel. I did get her a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots a few years ago for Xmas so that would probably be her wildest pair :D

  13. Great looking shoes and really great boots!

What does the new wife think of your heels?

Wife hasn't really seen these new pairs just yet as we've been too busy, plus my mother in-law is currently staying with us so I have to hide my collection for now.

  14. Been a while since my last post with alot going on (change of shoes, getting married etc) but I've managed to score some nice additions to the heels collection recently :).

First pair are by Tony Bianco with a monsterous 6inch heel and 2inch platform. 2nd Pair are by Verali, over the knee platform boots that can also be folded down for a knee high look.
