  1. Thanks everyone for the kind and encouraging words. I did go out this morning in a pair of 3 or 4 inch black heels with black dress pants covering all but the heel itself.  I walked around the mall for about a half hour and even walked around some of the shoe stores in there. One worker at payless came over and asked if she could help. I asked her if she sees a lot of men either wearing and/or shopping for heels. she said she sees more guys shopping than wearing. Their size 12 selection was lacking so I did not make any purchases. But I felt good going back out there again today.

  2. Hello everyone,

My last post was about wearing my heels back into a Payless to do some shopping. Today I actually went out and to a few stores.

I started out going to the local Wal-Mart and walked around the store doing some shopping for some new pantyhose and clothes. I was wearing black ankle high boots with about a 3 or 4 inch heel and long pants covering all but the heel.

I then went to subway for lunch and stood around in line for about ten minutes. In neither place did I detect any looks or stares nor did I hear any comments.

It felt really great to finally walk from the car across parking lots and into and out of stores. Now I know I can do it and it will be wonderful.

  3. Thanks to you all for your help. I appreciate the fact that we are all on this journey together. and for all of you helping a rookie like me get started makes me feel really good.  time to get shopping.

and to "shyheels" the fetishy stuff sounds fun too!!!

  4. Hello,

I know Payless is a great place to get heels in my size which is 12.  Does anyone know of other stores or websites to use that have a nice selection? I am in Pennsylvania. I appreciate the help. Ever since I made my first trip outside last week, all I think about is doing it again and getting more pairs of heels.

  5. Thanks again everybody. it was a proud moment once I got over the initial fear factor. I havent had time to go out again but hoping too this week. Maybe to a more public place like a grocery store.

Any advice on my attire? The heels are sandals so my toes are slightly exposed. Do I wear hosiery or go barelegged under my pants?

  6. Thanks everybody for their kind words of support and encouragement.  I have been wearing heels on and off for a few years but never outside in public. So, I think I am getting pretty good at walking in them.  I like a higher heel and not a fan of a wedge.

I wore the black sandals with black hose and wore gray pants and a dark blue shirt. I was most nervous walking from the car to the store and once i got inside I actually stayed and looked at more heels.

The shoe says it is the Dexflex Comfort and they actually are really comfortable. They have an ankle strap and a criss cross pattern on the top of the foot.

My schedule and home life makes it hard for me to get out very much but I will keep my updates in this thread as they happen. You all have helped give me the confidence to know that there are so many of us out there and we are all supporting each other. Thank you all again.

  7. Yesterday I finally got the courage to go out in public in my heels. 4 inch strappy sandals from payless. I drove over in my heels and parked and proceeded to walk across the parking lot into payless to return a pair of heels that didnt fit.

I didnt pass too many people but it felt good to just be outside in the middle of the day walking around a little. Next time I will try and be out a little longer and try and interact with some people besides the sales lady at payless who didnt seem to care I was in the store.

  8. Great job.  I bought those exact ankle boots a few weeks ago in Payless. I had to return them because they just didnt fit right. I remember my first time walking up to the counter. the sales lady was great,. the store was empty and she gave me some tips on how to walk in them. The heels were about 4 inches so it was tough but I finally got the hang of it. Walk basically one foot in front of the other and you will be ok.

    good luck!!!

  9. I bought a new pair of 4 inch heels with the ankle strap yesterday and had the hardest time getting them to clasp. And then to tuck the remaning strap behind the clasp was almost impossible.  It took a while but it was worth it. I worked from home yesterday (alone) and wore them for about seven hours straight, a new record for me.

  10. I've walked around at night outside a few times and once to a "companion's house" or also dresses and wears heels. So, I guess I am in the baby step arena too.  I will get further along as will you!! each time it does get a little easier. if i had a home life that would accept this I am sure it would make my life easier but oh well...........
