  1. They are too expensive. I've bought from www.snaz75.com

a few times. Their prices are a lot better and they have a good selection.

    -Robert B.

    Robert,

Thanks for the reference. With a slow speed connection ( 56K dial-up ) I didn't have the time to search all the sights for the best store to carry Elle boots.

  2. If you search on ebay, under women's shoes and restrict the search to boots and cheerleaders ( i.e. +boots +cheerleader and make sure the box for search title and description is checked, then you will see ALL the cheerleader boots in all colors - blue, silver, red, etc... and sizes ). My previous post on the thigh high boot is correct. The correct name of the boot is Ally and the maker is Elle. One place to find it is http://www.lisasshoes.com/delightred.html for $ 100. I stress that this is NOT the only place on the web that carries this boot, and to search through the previous link that I provided to find possibly a better price. Sorry, but I only have dial-up access here  I hope this helps.

  3. Those look to be the thigh high version of the style called Laura - I'm not sure if it is Pleasure or Elle makes them, but one of them does. It is a stretch patent boot with a 5" heel, and you're looking at probably $80+ for them. Laura costs about $ 60. Browse the web. http://www.pgts.net has lots of links, many of which do carry the boot - I just don't remember which ones! If your in the US, I'd try midnight fantasies as they are a good company, after that keep looking.

  4. Reconcilliation or relief, Phoneix?

It's a sad case bubba. What should they relationship be vs. what it actually is. I'd guess if I was in that situation, it would be a bit of both. Relief from pain of the relationship, and guilt and pain that the relationship never got better.

  5. Bubba, If the troublesome person ( family member included) doesn't recognize that they have a problem and/or is unwilling to deal with it; you're really left with only a few options: try to set boundaries with that person and stay away with the trouble areas ( this may or may not work), continue to take the abuse and get years of therapy ( expensive, but may be necessary), or reduce/limit if not eliminate contact with this person ( if someone constantly hurts you, how many times are you going to put yourself back in the same position to get hurt over and over again?) I know of a case that is a combination of abuse and personallity conflict that has gone on for over 20 years, to the point where the son hates the mother - and reconcilliation will only happen when one of them is 6' underground.

  6. i agree, and i have told jade and she will help me where she can, but family is my hurdle as is friends at the minute

    Daz,

You said in your original post that your relationship with your mom was not good right now. Her reaction to your attempt is something only you can judge, but if it was ridicle, callous, or demeaning in anyway than I agree with the other member that said there is no reason to share this part of your life with her. If your mom is insensitive, and abusive to you, then there is no reason to go back expecting a change, when all you will get is a slap in the face. I'm not saying this applies to you ( it does apply to me), but if it does I'd seek counselling and not speak to your mom again. The term for that type of parent is Toxic Parent. I wish you the best with Jade, and hope that whatever happens with family doesn't hurt you.

  7. Vanity, Tell your friend the Mom, if the daughter's keep up the criticism, then it's time for them to move out. They are 18, and of legal age to live on their own, especially if they are out of high school. If they can't accept that mom can look good, and they have to start arguments at home; then it is time for them to live on their own. Mom should give them 30 days to get a job, and kick them out of the house. That means no furniture goes with them too. They have to buy, or rent everything. It will teach the girls a harsh lesson in life: either practice the art of peace, or be prepared for the consequences of opening up your mouth. Maybe after a couple of months, if the girls beg, and sign a contract specifying what their behavior will be Mom will let them live at home. But for now - kick them out. No room for ungrateful brats at home, when they are adults. Phoenix

  8. A few thoughts:

In the past two weeks we have seen Iraq first accept unconditional examination by UN weapons inspections teams to determine if Iraq still had, or was producing weapons of mass destruction. Less than 1 week after that they said that they would NOT allow unrestricted access, and that the terms of the 1998 agreement with UN secretary general Kofi Amin would still stand which made about 12 sq. miles off limits to inspection. While the U.S. and England are arguing for a resolution with immediate military consequences if Iraq doesn't allow complete access, France, China, and Russia either for political or financial reasons want to take a more diplomatic and slow approach. These moves by Iraq are all calculated moves to stall and possible divide forces.

It has not been proven that Iraq has a connection to Osama Al Bin-laden yet. What is known is :

1: Iraq does support and trains terrorists withins it's borders.

2: Iraq has produced chemical and biological weapons in the past

3: Iraq has USED chemical and / or biological weapons in the past

4: Iraq has attacked a neighboring country for it's wealth

5: Iraq tried to produce nuclear weapons before the israeli's destroyed their reactor

6: Iraq attacked Israel ( a non-combatent) during the gulf-war with scud missiles.

Based on the above, not only can it can be determined that the leader of this country is harboring terrorists, and willing to attack his neighbors, but he is willing to use weapons of mass destruction. He is a danger to that entire area of the world, and if his missiles have a longer range than expected, say 1500 miles, than most of the mediterainian area could be in danger. I don't like the prospect of loss of life, especially civillians, but in this case Sadam, his family, and most of his staff will need to be taken out for sure.

I don't think America should be the policeman of the world. We all live in the same neighborhood. We all have different customs, and should respect each other. The problem is that when problems occur with a neighbor, we should lend a helping hand, instead of saying "I'm busy right now, go ask somebody else." England and Israel have been dealing with terrorism for years. Those need to be addressed. America's recent issues came about because some fanatics resented our helping Israel. All I can hope for is that the U.S., Britian, and a few other countries that have both the intelligence and the balls to fight will do so, and will make the terrorists hide forever. It may take us several years to get them, but we will.

  9. Laurie, there are a couple of ways to start credit from scratch. Either to apply for a Gas (fuel) credit card, and/or a secured credit card. The secured credit card means you will have to first deposit a sum that will be equal to the maximum amount you are going to take out. Once you start building credit, you might want to get a department store credit card. Then finally a normal visa or mastercard, and get rid of the secured card. The important thing is to understand how credit cards work. If you only pay the MINIMUM monthly amount, unless that is the total amount of the bill, you will get in way over your head in debt. On the other hand, you MUST have good credit to buy a car or house these days. I'm not an expert in these matters, and I don't know all the rules. I know late payments do look bad, and lower your credit rating. I'm not sure if it's better to pay your bill entirely every month, or to pay a fair amount, but carry some over to the next month. There are special cases. Most of the time, I'd suggest paying entirely so the interest doesn't get you. The most important thing Laurie - protect your credit rating at ALL COSTS! If something happens to it, to straighten it out is a complete mess and what it can do to your life is a real hassel. Also, before you and Chris decide on any permanent arrangement, make sure you know where you each stand with regards to debt and credit rating. Marriage means you inherit each others debt and credit rating, therefore both parties should strive for low debt and high credit ratings. I'm cheering for you two, but just wanted you to be aware of that fact. By the way, once you do have good credit, your credit card will be upgraded from normal to Gold, and you will get offers in the mail for many more credit cards. Bottom line is don't abuse them, or you will be in trouble. If anyone has any other suggestions, or knows more of the rules and in's and out's of the credit game, please chip in. Good Luck and I hope this answers a lot of your questions. Jeff L.

  10. Be very happy that at least that this happened in Chicago and that there appears to be some outrage against the principal's actions. She should have called the district and asked for advice on how to handle the manner, because unless they do have a strict district-wide enforceable dress code, we're dealing here with 1st admendment and freedom of expression issues. The ALCU would love this type of case, and it could be a very nasty and expensive lawsuit. That principal just might have lost her job, and ended her career because of her narrow-mindedness. Shucks, I'd like to what would have happend in the plains area, otherwise known as bible thumping territory! Shoot, a man in high heel. Call a town meeting, and get a rope  I do have to say that that last part is complete speculation on my part. I have no idea how the people in those states would react. I'm in a VERY conservative part of california, and freedom of expression is not taken well down here.

  11. I'd like to share an essay, that was maybe a monologue done by Dennis Miller, a comedian known for intellectual sarcasim here in the states and in Canada. The following was done sometime after Sept. 11, 2000 and before June 1, 2002, but I have no idea of the exact date. I think he makes some very valid arguements.

DENNIS MILLER EXECUTIVE SUMMARY ON THE MID-EAST CONFLICT:

    (Or...Mid-East for Dummies)

A brief overview of the situation is always valuable, so as a service to all Americans who still don't get it, I now offer you the story of the Middle East in just a few paragraphs, which is all you really need.

Don't thank me. I'm a giver. Here we go:

The Palestinians want their own country. There's just one thing about it. There are no Palestinians. It's a made up word. Israel was called Palestine for two thousand years. Like "Wiccan," "Palestinian" sounds ancient but it's really a modern invention. Before the Israelis won the land in war, Gaza was owned by Egypt, and there were no "Palestinians" then, and the West Bank was owned by Jordan, and there were no "Palestinians" then.

As soon as the Jews took over and started growing oranges as big as basketballs, what do you know, say hello to the "Palestinians," weeping for their deep bond with their lost "land" and "nation."

So for the sake of honesty, let's not use the word "Palestinian" any more to describe these delightful folks, who dance for joy at our deaths until someone points out they're being taped. Instead, let's call them what they are: "Other Arabs From The Same General Area Who Are In Deep Denial About Never Being Able To Accomplish Anything In Life but Struggle And Death."

I know that's a bit unwieldy to expect to see on CNN.

How about this, then: "Adjacent Jew-Haters." Okay, so the Adjacent Jew-Haters want their own country.

Oops, just one more thing. No, they don't.

They could've had their own country any time in the last thirty years, especially two years ago at Camp David. But if you have your own country, you have to have traffic lights and garbage trucks and Chambers of Commerce, and, worse, you actually have to figure out some way to make a living.

That's no fun. No, they want what all the other Jew-Haters in the region want:

Israel. They also want a big pile of dead Jews, of course-that's where the real fun is-but mostly they want Israel.

Why? For one thing, trying to destroy Israel -or "The Zionist Entity" as their textbooks call it-for the last fifty years has allowed the rulers of Arab countries to divert the attention of their own people away from the fact that they're the blue-ribbon most illiterate, poorest, and tribally backward on God's Earth, and if you've ever been around God's Earth, you know that's really saying something.

It makes me roll my eyes every time one of our pundits waxes poetic about the great history and culture of the Muslim Mid-East. Unless I'm missing something, the Arabs haven't given anything to the world since Algebra, and, by the way, thanks a hell of a lot for that one.

Chew this around and spit it out: Five hundred million Arabs; five million Jews. Think of all the Arab countries as a football field, and Israel as a pack of matches sitting in the middle of it. And now these same folks swear that if Israel gives them half of that pack of matches, everyone will be pals.

Really? Wow, what neat news. Hey, but what about the string of wars to obliterate the tiny country and the constant din of rabid blood oaths to drive every Jew into the sea? Oh, that? We were just kidding.

My friend Kevin Rooney made a gorgeous point the other day. Just reverse the numbers. Imagine five hundred million Jews and five million Arabs. I was stunned at the simple brilliance of it. Can anyone picture the Jews strapping belts of razor blades and dynamite to themselves? Of course not.

Or marshalling every fiber and force at their disposal for generations to drive a tiny Arab state into the sea? Nonsense. Or dancing for joy at the murder of innocents? Impossible. Or spreading and believing horrible lies about the Arabs baking their bread with the blood of children? Disgusting.

No, as you know, left to themselves in a world of peace, the worst Jews would ever do to people is debate them to death.

Mr. Bush, God bless him, is walking a tightrope. I understand that with vital operations coming up against Iraq and others, it's in our interest, as Americans, to try to stabilize our Arab allies as much as possible, and, after all, that can't be much harder than stabilizing a roomful of supermodels who've just had their drugs taken away.

However, in any big-picture strategy, there's always a danger of losing moral weight. We've already lost some. After September 11 our president told us and the world he was going to root out all terrorists and the countries that supported them. Beautiful. Then the Israelis, after months and months of having the equivalent of an Oklahoma City every week (and then every day) start to do the same thing we did, and we tell them to show restraint.

If America were being attacked with an Oklahoma City every day, we would all very shortly be screaming for the administration to just be done with it and kill everything south of the Mediterranean and east of the Jordan. (Hey, wait a minute, that's actually not such a bad idea.... uh, that is, what a horrible thought, yeah, horrible.)

  12. The fact that the vast majority of people killed so far have been non-military people; i.e. the old, the women, and children is a complete tragedy. Israel's counter attacks have never been aimed at civilians. I'm not saying innocents have not been hurt or killed, but they were never the target except in the case of what I would imagine would be very poor intelligence (very rare indeed for the Mossad). Now we have a bad tactical decision which killed and injured a lot of women and children. I firmly agree that the target needed to be taken out, but based on the location and population density a much different plan should have been used to minimize the damage. If for some reason the terrorists come to the bargaining table and stop the madness instead of declaring a holy war, maybe something good will come out of this. Otherwise the madness will continue.

  13. Hello All, First of all, even though I'm a new member to this board, I have read most of the listings and I'd like to say welcome back to Susan. My best to you and Jasmine for your futures. I hope you stay and offer your insights. As much as I admire a woman in heels, I have to say that the personality is the most important aspect of a person. Between eating habits, lifestyle changes, accidents, and surgery ( normal as well as cosmetic ) a person's body can be changed pretty drastically. That doesn't work the same way for a person's personality. After a certain age, it is pretty well set, and maybe 5 - 15 % can be changed if they really want to change it and they devote a lot of hard work towards changing it. I'd take an cute or average girl that maybe only rarely wears high heels ( a shame and maybe a hardship on me ) anyday over a dropdead gorgeous model that wears high heels all the time, if the cute/average girl and I clicked personality wise much better that the gorgeous lady. You need to look for the inner beauty, and not just at the outer beauty. Sometimes it does match, but other times, as in nature beauty, it is the sign of something very deadly and for intelligent animals to stay far away from.

  14. Damm, we sure could use him out here in California  . I'm also in favor of letting loose several special operation units of urban warfare troops to handle the gang problems. Apparently, our city police neither have the man power nor the fire power to deal with these gangs and I amd of the firm opinion that since these gangs have declared a war on the rest of the law abiding citizens, then we should show then what a war really means. Those "gentlemen" want a war, I'll give it to them, in spades!

  15. Bubba136, you're absolutely correct. Although it was a simple double murder case, that cockroach Johny Cocran  used the race card, and even if O.J. had gotten up in the middle of that trial and had grabbed the prosecuter and slashed her throat in front of the entire jury, and on national televsion, they would have never convicted him. It was a sad day for the american justice system. I hope Jonny, O.J., and the rest of his defense team spend eternity is a place where SPF1000000 isn't strong enough. Azraelle, although I like your idea, I'd take it one step further. Some of these criminals have absolutely no fear and/or no respect for human life. If they shoot someone to death, simply shooting them to death is too simple and easy. Criminals see that on the streets and are used to it. If the state/government is going to punish someone for a serious crime I want them scared out of the minds about their fate if they get convicted. None of these 10 - 20 year appeals. No leathal injecion crap that puts one to sleep. I want something brutal, where they are fighting for their lives and they know they are going to lose; they are in serious pain; and they suffer. Only if what they do to their victims is more horrific, do we change the penalty. Give the victim, or the victim's family (in the case of murder) the right to do whatever damage they want to the criminal. They are not allowed to release him, and they do not have to take advantage of this offer, but if they want to, they can can. String the criminals (I'm being VERY polite here) up in a shower (easy cleanup) and have medical personal available if needed. Use your imagination, but I'm in favor of providing knives, hammers, power tools, the murder weapon, gun and ammo. The idea here is for the victim/victim's family to release all their rage and aggresion out on the attacker's. If this kill's them, oh well. If it doesn't, or they choose not to do this, fine - feed the criminals to the animals; unless they have diseases - we don't want to hurt the animals. If the have diseases, well they'd make a great involutary test subject for medical research. Geez, Medical students could actually do a real operation and botch it without worrying about the consequences! Example: Congradulations Dr. Jones, you've just killed your patient and failed this exam. You'll get another try in 3 days, please be prepared. Dr. Smith, your turn. Will someone get the next convict. Skip the anestia, this one was a really bad boy and doesn't get...

  16. Just remember us yanks in America tend to believe in freedom to the extreme. Despite a overwhelming amount of evidence that says definately was involved in a double murder, O.J. Simpson is walking around scott free.

We need a tool that is completely impartial, and can not be fooled. We also another tool that can cut through the BS and tell who is lying or not. I'm completely in favor of punishing the lawyers along with their clients.

And as long as we're at it, let through out the 8th admendment - cruel and unusual punishment. We just had a very violent kidnapping, rape, and murder of a 5 year old girl here in southern california. I propose 2 punishments:

Live food for a zoo's large predators exhibit ( i.e. lion, tiger, bear - etc...)

    or

drop him in shark infested waters with chum

make sure you video tape it and show it in the prisons, and make this the standard death sentence. No more injection BS. Let's scare the criminals - you take a life, when we get you, you're going down HARD

Thank you for listening to me rant and rave, and now back to your regularly scheduled program...

  17. You're also forgeting one simple thing. It's a lot easier to show images of women and children killed, and generate simpathy; than to show live or taped footage of the rallys that go on that basically say "death to the jews" or "kill the jews". Now not only would this material not be well received on international news, but the reporters are threatened with death if they take pictures and publicize it. I'm sorry that innocents were killed and certainly don't wish it would happen, but a major leader of hamas was taken out and based on the actions of that group in the past, and the likelihood of no letdown in the future, I have to support Israel's actions. We have to accept the fact that there is a major war against terrorism going on in Israel at the present time, and has been for quite some time now. An unfortunate consequence of war is that innocent bystanders do get killed. What makes this war different is that the terrorist have almost entirely not attacked military targets; they have attacked civilian targets with the intent of instilling fear and panic. Both by their acts of terrorism, their choice in attacking targets that can't defend themselves - If Israel can locate a terrorist, then I agree with their methods: Take them out BEFORE they strike again. If this causes additional deaths, I'm sorry and I'll say a prayer for those that were ignorant of the terrorist's activities - otherwise let god be the judge...

  18. Sorry Skeen. I like you do prefer females( particularly jewish females - my own failing) and have no inclination to bend the other way. As far as imagination goes, mine is completely out of control :drinking: (since you don't have a insane icon) and that is why I need someone with a wicked mind to keep up with me. Give me a woman who play, a wicked mind, can dominate, and be dominted, very intelligent, and of course high heels. I'm drooling already

  19. I believe I've been rude also in not posting a greeting here first, while expressing my opinions elsewhere. I'm a male admirer of high heels on women (no platforms please) in his mid 30's, that is single and is living in southern california. For a living I do technical support of computers, like a rather large number of men associated with this board do. Hmmm, anyone want to theorize what the association is between men who make their living with computers and their addiction/fetish with high heels? Oh well, let a psychology student and rats play with that one  I'll just have to find a relatively nice lady, with a wicked mind who will accomodate my desires and will wear high heels sometimes. Another Jeff to confuse everyone

  20. Fortunately, or Unfortunetly our legal system is bound by certain rules in effect and by the limits of current technology. Short of DNA evidence, we don't know for certain who was involved in a crime, or for that matter how many. Also, we don't know if they are innocent or guilty, and if gulty, can they be rehabilitated successfully and reintroduced into society, or are they such a danger that we should just spend the .39 cents and execute them? I have seen the inside of the legal system for almost 30 years in the US and I do think it needs to be changed. We had a justice here in California by the name of Rose Bird who on moral reason only declined death row convictions. If the law is sound, and the guy is a true danger to society - execute the B*&^*&(. To give you an example how messed up it is, inmates are fighting against having DNA samples being taken from them, to help law enforcement officials solve currently unsolved cases. In my opinion - which is EXTREME - put a loaded gun to the inmate's head and ask for the DNA sample ONCE. If he says no, kill him, take the sample, and move on to the next inmate. Either the inmates cooperate, or you reduce the population. Both ways you still get your DNA samples. I'd be prepared for a riot with several machine gun turrents to show them you mean business. This may offend several people, but I'm tired of serious offenders getting off lightly. It's God's job to judge them, and I say lets arrange that meeting as soon as possible in these cases.

  21. Azraelle, Thank you for your in-depth and insigthfull comments on my postings. I can understand an attack against a military target, but not against civilians. It gets my blood boiling, and since this has been going on for quite a while and there does not appear to be an end in sight I'm not sure what to do about it. Israel is concerned about defense, and is not attacking her neighbors unless there are exceptional circumstances. I have nothing against the arab people or against the muslim religion, but they do need to leave the jews in Israel only in peace. That region of the earth has had more blood spilled in the name of god than any other that I can think of.

  22. Laurieheels, any particular mythology you wish to model yourself after? Greek/Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Chineese, Hindu, etc... ? Maybe something like a modern day aphrodite? The ability to change your appearance and clothes at a snap ( club wear to office wear to swim wear, sandals to courts to slingback. The ability to inspire overwhelming  lust or love in anybeing male or female of any species. You could appoint helpers that could handle the easy cases, or automate the process; while you dealt with the problem cases. I don't know if you like the immortality clause or just a very long life and great health. Of course, you'd also need teleportation - We'd fix ShockQueen's Ruby Red Slippers for you  Just a thought  Phoenix764
