  1. Maybe you could answer the following questions on top:

    1. How old have you been, when you got your first heels?: 22

    2. What was the reason (i.e. special event like carneval/ halloween; because you lost a bet; because you felt in love for them): I saw them in a store, and I knew I HAD to own these shoes (pumps, black as my conscience, 5 inch heel and they did fit)

    3. Who paid the bill?: Me

    4. How much did you spend?: The equivalent of about current USD $50, I think...

    5. How and where did you buy? (retailer: grabbed and paid or tried them on; mail order company/ online; etc.): In a big store here in Mexico City. I was looking for some sneakers in the shoe department and saw those pumps. I didn't cared what people could say and went to see if there were a pair in W11, and yes, there was a few. Curiously, the sales lady only smiled when I was paying, but said nothing.

    6. Were you allowed to wear them at home (i.e. after of that special purpose)?: No. Then I was living with my parents and my father would have died if he saw me wearing that (or any other kind of women) shoes. Now, they live with me, and the situation is the same. My mother, on the other side, know about and don't care as long I'm happy. Or whatever...=)

    Thanks! You're welcome...

  2. Yesterday somebody knocked and it turned out to be a guy from the SAT (Mexican equivalent to US IRS), conducting a survey about the current economic crisis.

I was wearing jeans, t-shirt and 12cm heeled black sandals with a thick heel. While no hiden, the shoes were not exactly visible (these pants are men's straight leg or whatever are they called). I answered all the questions, and in the +- 4 minutes it took, this guy NEVER moved his sight from my feet. I was expecting him to ask something, but he never did. It was fun.

And this has happened a few times more, always with the same shoes. So far no one has said anything, but few has dared to look at my face after seeing my heels...>=)

(Standard disclaimer: Sorry for my english and I hope at least you get the idea.)

  3. Hello. I'm a heeler from Mexico, and I've been reader (and lurker) in this forum for a few years. I may not write much, mostly because my english is "adequate" at most, and very, very bad the rest of the time. I admire all of you for the courage you have to wear heels in public. I've done that a few times with no bad experiences, but since the kind of heels I like are hard to find here in a style that fits me, it's hard for me to do it more. Well, that's all for the moment. This is a great place...=)
