  1. I have a pair of stiletto boots (with metal heel tips, FWIW) and one of the tips has come off while wearing them. The pin has sheared flush with the metal tube, and the heel has worn down by a couple of milimetres around it. I'm not really interested in trying to repair it myself; I'm more wondering whether this kind of repair (particularly extracting the sheared pin) is something fairly routine that my local Timpsons would be able to handle fine, or if I need to find a more specialist repairer? Thanks in advance for any advice, R.
