  1. Nice photo and a great look.

    Thanks Heals4me !

Great boots; - leather knee boots & 5 inch(?) are just so classy!

I take it you bought them directly from Italy?

Yes, on both counts Awtucs...the heels are 13cm(5") and are from an Italian seller named "1969 Italian Boutique".
  2. sendra45, thank you very much for the explination regarding picture posting rules(are these actually written out somewhere that can be found without asking...i had a heck of a time trying to find). I thought i had followed those guidelines but had one of my albums deleted (one theat had been here for several months)...hence i am still a bit foggy about what i could have possibly posted that would have resulted in a deletion. I am sure many, many members have seen my pics and never once have i received a negative response or comment from an admin. or memeber over the past few months. What am i missing? I am sorry if i sound confrontational because that is not my style nor do i wish to be perceived as such....just find it somewhat frustrating to have pics that follow the policies presented by your post being deleted with absolutely no concrete explination provided. I guess what bothers me the most is that i'm left feeling like a rogue member . But, none the less, i appreciate the time invested in your response. Thank you.

  3. Can someone here with more experience than myself let me know where i might find information about the rules for posting pics? I have attempted to find this info but am not getting very far...any help would be very much appreciated because this place is HUGE and i dont want to post any more pics that do not follow the accepted format/content of whats allowed here. Thank you all.

  4. Hi Miltboot, i have also ordered and received boots from Marziali. They are very well made and fit quite well (also custom made). Lead time to receive here in the US was about 4 weeks but well worth the wait. I have already posted pics of them in one of my albums, so not sure if i could upload another one here...they are the black stretch pvc knee boots in my pics. I would highly recommend them after my experience and love the boots i received. Can you tell us which style boots you ordered or upload a pic? Also, thanks for starting this thread devoted to boots (my favorite). I unfortunately discovered it this afternoon after having posted about new boots ordered on saturday in the "new shoes" thread...tried to repost a pic here but was unable to due to restrictions on posting the same pic twice. Oh well, i now know for the future and good luck on your order, i'm sure you will love them!

  5. Steve is absolutely right about comfilon hose. I have worn them for about 3 years and find them to be excellent quality and durable enough for boots. They deliver web orders incredibly fast (1-2 days to my place) and have a great range of styles all available in sizes for longer legs. Unfortunately, they will never replace a great pair of fully fashioned stockings but at least they provide an option for boots .

  6. My love of boots has led me to a beautiful pair i found earlier last week but delayed purchasing in hopes that i would loose interest in them over a few days. But alas, i revisted them again yesterday and decided they had still held my attention and were worth the purchase as the designer is currently about to sell out this style. post-10537-133522903404_thumb.jpg The designer is Pura Lopez and luckily they are available in a size 11us and for less than $200us at the moment.

  7. I personally store all my heels and boots in a climate and humidity controlled closet outside of their original packaging ,so the box is of little concern to me after i have obtained my shoes. When buying at a walk-in retail store the box need only endure the drive back to my home. However, the box is very important for receiving via post.

For example, i have received many pairs of shoes that are sent in ridiculously flimsy thin crappy boxes that barely survive the shipping process (and sometimes dont). So possibly two types of boxes are necessary: one nicely designed but lesser grade cardboard box for in-store retail sales (colors and logo of maker prominent on box) and another more utilitarian but durable box that can sustain the rigors of cross country/world shipment. Nothing is more disappointing than waitng several weeks or months for a shipment to arrive only to have the contents damaged by thoughtless packaging by the sender. Altough the quality of a pair of shoes is of paramount importance to me, the care (or lack of care) in shipment can sour my opinion of a seller and may deter me from future purchases.

  8. Hello smac67, nice to have you here. Can you tell us a little more about the type of heels that most interest you (high/low, pumps/boots, stiletto/platform...etc.)...do you personally wear or just an admirer? After you begin to become familiar with the workings of this site, you will discover almost every interest imaginable with regards to heels. Somedays i find the reading here more interesting than the NY Times (more accurately the NY Times of 5-10 years ago). Anyways, good to see another member join this site from the States (what area of the country are you from?). Good day, and happy heeling!

  9. Hi David , I'm glad you were able to find this site and i'm sure you will enjoy reading all the great topics discussed here. Also, the shoe pictures you have uploaded in your album are really nice, absolutely beautiful heels. I checked out your web site and have to say the collection of shoes is impressive. All the designs are top notch and appear to be well crafted. The pricing also seemed very reasonable to me for designs of this caliber. I would certainly buy from this site in the future. However , i do have two issues that did not appeal to me: #1. The index for finding items was a bit difficult to quickly scan and and might be better if organized in catagory groups instead of all items listed alphabetically(unless i missed the main home page) #2. This is the most important issue by far: please offer more shoes and the pair of boots in sizes that go up to at least a 44 (it would even be better if they were all available in larger sizes). Moreover, i was also wondering if you have the shoes made for your site or do you just distribute? Was just wondering because you may have some influence with the maker in offering larger sizes . If you feel uncomfortable answering this question about your business i understand and just ignore. I only ask because a few of the shoes and the boots are not listed as available in my size (9uk,43eu) and therefore could not purchase...i'm sure there might be other members here that would also be interested but would need in sizes larger than an 8uk or 41eu. Once again, welcome here and congratulations on a fine web site .

  10. I checked 4" because i have several in this range. However, i actually prefer wearing high heels that are at least 5" but no more than 6"...in fact 6" heels tend to be alot of effort to navigate around in and likely to reduce ones "heel wearing years" , thus i dont wear 6" that often but love the look of well designed heels that high (sounds contradictory i know).

  11. Wow from me too! Those are indeed awsome boots and the comments about heel height were well spotted. Just amazing. Now they are boots I could get into, but not at that price. When you are tired of them, !!!!!! let me know, I'll join the queue.

    Muddypaws

Hi Muddypaws, i suspect i will be buried in these boots , so unless you have a good shovel....

  12. 12cm translates to 4 3/4". Is it just me, or do the boots look much higher than that? If you haven't ordered them already, you might request the seller to retake the measurement, from the back of the heel of the boot to the ground. Definitely with the price of these boots, I don't think you want any surprises when they arrive.

Good point , i emailed them this morning and the response was that they measure 12cm at the front of the stilettto (closer to the front not rear part of the heel). Moreover, they claim that the low camera angle used to photo the boots exagerates the actual height. Once again, i am not concerned about this height (even if they were 14cm) because i have become accustomed to walking in higher heels. To my eye, the beauty of these boots is really in the exquisite leather work and finish. thanks for the question though, got me thinking also.
  13. The heels seems very high. Do you know how high they are ?

    danielp6406:

Yes they are 12 cm heels but i dont find that height too much to handle as most of my heels are around that or higher. The main issue with heels like these is the slenderness of the stiletto. If not solidly attached at the base they tend to send a "wobbily" sensation up the legs and kinda feel unstable- although i'm sure this maker has that issue under control or should for the ransom they are asking.

  14. Certainly not the most reasonably priced boots, but i could not resist and ordered these on Sunday from an Ebay store in Italy named "helena-boutique"

    http://cgi.ebay.de/HOT-BLACK-LADY-LEDER-EXTREME-STIEFEL-PUMPS-GR-44_W0QQitemZ370276964413QQcmdZViewItemQQptZKleidung_Accessoires_Schuhe_Damenschuhe?hash=item56363a183d

I usually prefer a more traditional covered heel on boots (dont care for the chrome metal finish typically used) but went for these anyways due to the black finish on the metal heels. Hopefully not too long for delivery from Italy. Contacted them today and delivery to the states is not a problem (at a "special" delivery rate). This store has some very beautiful Italian-made shoes and boots.Worth checking out their items just to see some really great designs.

PS: got the larger size 44 incase these run small like most italian made shoes.
