  1. Not sure if everone remembers the original desinger of this type of shoe but since then there have been a number of spin offs. This is the only one that I know of that are actully for sale through 'Buy them here'. To me they seem very pricey. But then again it is not really uncommon to see this high of price on heels.

If you wish to read the original artiticle from Sophie Cox, the inventer of this type of shoe, you can read it here

I was not sure what thread to put this in as they are 'Shoes for sale' but this is also news that they are here as well, and who the original inventer of them was.

  2. As I have stated, my hubby and myself both love high heels and have a passion for them. Two years ago we saw a plastic set of toy heels in a clear bag at Wal-Mart "Set of 4 pair" and got them for our little girl who was 3 at the time. The heels had a 2 inch heel and she loved them, never taking them off. Reading through the forums here I wonder what was the first pair you wore? Also talking to a few men we know who also wear heels, we asked them the same question. Some said as they were growing up, they wore their sisters or their mothers in secret around the house or outside and that's what got them hooked. So my question is what was the first pair you wore and at what age?

  3. I personally prefer a platform 2" or less for wear in public. Any more and I feel it is a bit trashy or 'tart', and it is also a bit more of a challenge to walk in. For at home when I am not walking as much a higher platform is okay. And if you are on holiday, who cares what people think? Have fun with it.

  4. I'm not sure if you ever heard of this before, but since you just started wearing heels this would give you a chance to go out and wear them in public with no one caring. Do a Google search for " Walk a mile in her shoes ". Find when a march is coming to an area close to you and go. It will give you a chance to wear them out and it is for a good cause.

  5. They're not exactly elegant are they?.

No they are definately more of a fetish heel. I like them but mainly because they are different. But they seem to lack any sex appeal. A ballet or 7" spike heel has that certain feel and look but this just seems to be missing the mark on the look.... to me anyways.

  6. Could you wear this shoe? I myself couldn't. I just got a pair of ballets not that long ago and can not stand in them let alone walk in them "not yet anyways" and they have a thin heel which one can put a little weight on. Don't get me wrong, I love this shoe and would love to own it just because, but I do not think I could ever walk in them. Could you? This shoe has a 7.5" heel and comes in sizes 5-14.

    • The international heel meet is this a meet primarily for members of this great group or is it a meet advertised to all into wearing heels? What was the number of attendees last year? And how many are expected this year?
I would answer this but to be honest I do not know.

    • This next group of questions is aimed at men who want to wear heels but still dress in normal male apparel. Where is this trend at; are we just a few who have decided to break the norm and go with what we like, or is this trend growing and gaining acceptance both among people and the fashion industry. If the trend is growing is it a fad or do you believe that some day men will wear heels as a part of everyday dress?
There has been a rise in this trend over the past year or so and going by our sales, we also see this rise. There has also been a few fashion desingers that have stepped up and started designing heels for men. One of the more pronounced designers doing this is Rui Leonardes.

    • If the fashion and footwear industries actually pushed this trend what type of high heel shoe do men want marketed to them. Example if Florsheim Shoes took their current line of shoes and offered the line with regular heels or high heels say 2” to 4” would you be interested? Or do you want the footwear companies to make the women’s lines available in men’s sizes.
This is a really hard question for me to answer but again going by our sales and talking to our clients the men wishing to wear them are ranging from wearing from a 2" heel to a 5" platform. And men wearing ballets has become common as well. As far as the second part to your question. We have talked to many manufactures as to why they do not make a womans shoe on a mens last. We were also thinking about starting our own line just for men. But we found that most manufacturers can not do this due to the fact they do not make the heel part of the shoe but actually buy them. And with the cut of a womans foot being different, the heel would not work on a mans last. We did find however one manufacturer here in the USA that was able to make any womans single sole shoe on a mens last. The the cost of what we would have to sell this shoe for would be $150-$300 USD and the market just does not support this as of yet.

    • The last question is if high heel fashion for men became the “NORM” would you still want to wear heels. If so why and if not why.
Yes I would but I cannot speak for everyone. I do not see what the deal is. Alot of the men I have spoken to are straight as an arrow, most of them married with kids, and like to wear heels because they like the look and feel of them. Also men want to be able to accessorize. What choices do men have now?
  7. I voted for 3" heels. This is the height that you can start getting the thin spike / stiletto heels that really define high heels and also changes them from just high heels to sexy high heels. For platforms I would have to say a 6" heel with 2" platform. Yes that makes it one inch higher but they look so sexy and a higher platform really takes away from the look and feel of them.

  8. Yes I have one of them as well. I love him to death but if there was ever a high heel shoe lover, then he is it. My hubby is 6'5" while I'm 5'6" so when I do not have on heels I tend to stand on tip toe to hug him and as sure as the sun will shine he will make the comment, "if you had on heels you would not have to do that". Yes I love to wear them so it is not big deal but yes there are times I would perfer to just go barefoot. Also since we do run a few internet shoe sites we have product here. I have to keep reminding him that "they are inventory and not for me" or he would have every pair that was my size out of the box. I did recently get a pair of ballets "mostly for him". I can't stand or walk in them yet, but I can lay down all sexy like :santa_hat:

  9. Just wanted to stop in here first and say hello to all! Yes I do run a few shoe sites, but I joined here to be around other like minded people who have a passion for heels of all types. There is no other accessory that I am aware of that gives the wow factor to an outfit as a stunning pair of high heel shoes or boots does. You can change your hair style, put on make up, put on a short skirt, but nothing that you do has the same result. Even if you like to wear them with jeans or even if you have on leg warmers and a parka, the added accessory of high heeled boots or shoes adds the finishing touches to the outfit. And it also adds an eye catching appeal. Unless you have this passion and desire or even fetish toward this product, you would not understand where I am coming from, which is why I am here.
