  1. Christmas is coming up and im looking to spoil myself, ive only recently found out theres a couple of dedicated Louboutin shops in London (including Selfridges), does anyone have any experiences with the service in these places? I've read a few review sites and getting mixed opinions, id rather take my money elsewhere if im not going to have any luck. (Especially as i take an EU42, only to get there and theres no stock etc) Let me know of any experiences you've had yourself or friends, any other alternatives to net-a-porter.

  2. To tuck or not really plagues me, i have a few few boots and i cant even seem to make it work properly with me, but i realllly want to show off what ive bought and how good they look. Seeing so many out in their riding boots with jeans tucked too makes me so jealous (i wonder if they can tell). If it has a heel it can be even harder to decide but for now, i dont tuck at all....but every time i dont, i wish i could.

  3. thanks for all your replies everyone! just an update, life has given me a few surprises, ive met new friends, and took some risks with old ones. I met a new friend and we were talking about heels, she casually joked that she would get me some because i was so jealous, so i agreed that since her birthday was coming up, we could do a sort of shoe "trade/present" idea, i think she likes the idea of something different, i wish i could talk to her more but she lives about an hour away and sometimes hides what shes really thinking about some styles i like (i do like an honest friend who can say "No those arent for you", rather than one that will always say yes) but im much happier now :silly: I had my best female friend around and had some of my wedges lying around (kind of by accident) and i was surfing on the internet for some boots i wanted, of course she went straight to the guys section but we somehow agreed that everything there was horrible (note the endless military boot style in the mens shoes section of river island) and just had a look at the womens side, we both agreed the styles there were awesome, then she saw my wedges on the floor and put two and two together, but i stayed calm and said "yeap theyre mine, from my first friend i just mentioned" and that was that. Finally i have a new female friend with benefits shall i say, she doesnt seem to react at all, just a very straight faced but casual "nah take them off" but later on will compliment me in 3inch heel cowgirl boots....so go figure >.< One thing i have noticed from all my new friends is that as soon as i try to get anywhere near stilettos, they arent so supportive, its almost like the stiletto itself is a definition of a female to them, i dont know. I guess its work in progress. thanks for reading anyways, i just wanted to help some guys out there who may read this, try to cross the line and get their friends support without it being so dramatic like ive read in some other threads here.

  4. Theres three pairs of heels i have always put at the top of my dream list:

    Black Patent: Louboutin Pigalles

    Louboutin Altis

    YSL Tribtoos

Unfortunately i come out as an eu42/uk8 or 9. I managed to get the Pigalles and they bring a smile to my face everytime i wear them (theyre still on ebay too as eu 42 us 12). Now ive come across the Tribtoos but theyre not black patent and i have no idea about sizing.

Is there anyone out there spent this much money on shoes that arent perfectly what they wanted? Do they regret buying them? I have bought Aldo Laich slingbacks before in store in gold when i really wanted black, then saw them a week later on the website in black and bought them too!

    Here they are: http://www.farfetch.com/shopping/women/footwear/size-7/item10064626.aspx?cur=GBP

    And a possible compromise?

Even any advice on sizing is appreciated as it will help save time if i dont have to send them back etc.

  5. All i was thinking was wow! So hot! Im a New Look heels fan, i've seen the black NL_Cork_Plats on ebay a few times and still debating on getting them tbh, i tried the NL_pink_mirror_heels on too but i cant fit any outfits with them, but the ones i tried were blue. I still have my NL_cork_wedges in my black bag hidden, theyre tight but fit okay, i remember how popular they were when they first came out. I have those NL_BlkPlats too in sz8 but theyre farrr too small and i still have the ankle strap with mine, theyre sitting under my bed waiting for my next purge but they look soo sexy when ive seen them around. Id love a pair of those RedDead_Sqtoe's but a little lower for after work on my way home commuting. Cant help but say im very jealous of the playboy pink heels though, i dont do well in pointed toes...or baby pink >.< My pic here is a style from New Look too that go well with my suit for work. Will take pics of my collection if enough ask for it. :silly: Thanks for sharing though, tell her about the nice things we said

  6. Shopping for me has changed abit since i got alot more into heels, especially when i go with girl friends. I usually know exactly what i want before i go, and if i browse i know where im going to browse and dont hang around. If i go with girl friends things are abit different, i still fall asleep when dragged around, i just happen to wake up when it comes to the shoe department :silly:

  7. Love to hear stories like this, ive had one like this too in the Schuh shop in Oxford street, the assistant had me in these in front of the mirror complimenting me which i sucked up like a sponge ^^

    http://www.schuh.co.uk/womens-red-schuh-tauro-collar-court/1106433040

i wanted them in black and didnt end up buying them but you may recognise them from the

Im jealous you managed to find KG's in uk9's i have been hunting around london for their Auroras in 9 and never found them since it seems they sold out fast, they have an Aurora 2 but i despise the pointed toe!

Carvela, Dune, Kurt Geiger size 8's are available but are a size too tight on me and the 9's seem rare, especially since im drooling for these Carvelas right now that ive seen around london city.

I love the buzz you get afterwards with a huge smile coming from your face after having a chat like that in a shop, even though its only happened to me once or twice now i always look forward to it again.

  8. Both of their shops are on my travels and ive never been into either, whats their shoe selection like in the shops? I see on their website its only two pages of shoes that i could just try on in Camden when i go (nothing special). I also dont know if theres rules or anything for trying on latex or their clothes there as ive got minimal experience and never been to a fetish show either.

  9. I guess I had read the wrong threads there because as I say, some were dramatic, one or two posts sounded almost like a confession of a sin sometimes. Then ignored the good advice because I considered to be in a different situation somehow.

  10. Im in need of some help from you wonderful people in getting the message across subtly to a few people in my life of my passion for shoes and im sure you have all had your own ways. I know the easy answer is straight away turn up in 5" stiletto pumps but i am convinced that would definately just scare them away (and im not THAT amazing at that height too). Please be aware im not trying to brainwash someone into liking heels or wearing them more often, i just want them to understand me a little bit more. First one is a younger cousin i dont get to see often, she has amazing fashion sense and im sure one shoe shopping trip with her that we'd both have a great time. Unfortunately proximity is one problem, but even when we do get to spend time together that any hints i drop fall on deaf ears or she comments "thats weird". Second person is a girlfriend of a friend, ive known her for over 5years and any hints i drop are met with a laugh or a change of conversation, ive gone as far as using dutch courage (got drunk) and went out in my 3" heel black cowboy boots which were met with "Acesecret you look gay in those". Why do i bother with her you ask? because not everyones perfect and we all have a great time all the time. Just wanted to hear what advice you guys have, i have read the other threads about how they talked to their friends and family about it, some were dramatic, others really positive, whereas i seem to be stuck in the middle.

  11. I dont normally speak out on these sort of things but i've been here a while now and i dont know if it just my personal experiences but when a guy talks to a girl about heels, i tend to find the girl assumes automatically the guy is holding a passing interest out of kindness, when its more than that. So inevitably when i joined and saw the girls section i was happy to be able to find another channel for two way discussion, but then quickly found out the rules (not the hard way). At the end of the day, it doesnt keep me awake at night, but a tad stifling when sometimes all i want to do is express a positive remark or question in a way that everyone else can see it. So thus we sometimes see a cloned thread in the For Everybody section where guys can give their two cents. Im sure this thread will be away with the archives in a few days and im aware that the mods/admins are gods and their decision is final but as i write i thought of the idea of letting the Girls threads be able to vote on a guys comment, ie: if its lewd and unconstructive it would disappear as if deleted, but if its valid and helpful, it could stick. (Although this idea relies on the community more, it could take away the 24/7 job of patrolling the Girls thread too)

  12. I've walked through there and browsed around, i found it rather high brow whilst the assistants waited around patiently i couldnt help feeling judged, same thing in Harrods too. Im sure if id pulled out a gold credit card they'd have swarmed over me with smiles. Im obviously abit biased here and although i'd have no problem in splashing on a designer pair, i certainly didnt feel like i wanted to there. I'd give them a second chance with someone else, i'd love to try on a few pairs, see what they have in stock etc.

  13. Heya Las, Im usually up for a meet when i can, i was at the 2009 heelmeet (couldnt make the 2010 one). Especially to meet those around the same age range. I dont know what you meant by the Festival of Sins being a challenge, do you mean confidence wise or distance or so? I only check here once a week or so, but had the idea in my head for anime conventions or a few clubs in camden but open to other ideas. It just depends on how you want to spend your time since youre out in Guildford.

  14. Bubba, I think you could say this about men who wear high heels with their men's clothing. When I go out in high heels, I don't just throw somrthing on. I match my outfits the night before with my high heels, and now I keep this same philosophy in mind when I am shopping for high heels. I made that mistake a couple of times in the past and ended up with a pair of high heels I ended up getting rid of.

Too true, and an expensive lesson ive learnt too. I almost have to say that in my head as im trying on or buying a pair!

  15. Im still exploring different styles of heels and heights but after my last purge of over £100 worth of shoes i decided that on one rule:

You can buy what you want as long as you can justify the outfit or place you can wear them.

Im considering buying my first pair of other over knee or thigh high boots, any advice?

What outfits have you used if you own a pair? I know the jeans worn underneath is a popular one.

I havnt got a preference of which style yet but do overknee boots look a little less fetish like and abit more casual?

Heres two styles i'm interested in (note no shiny patent):

    Topshop Barley Thigh High Boots

    Topshop Barley2 Over Knee Boots
