  1. The pleasure is all mine, I'm sure.

    A few points.

First, I could not locate the ebay posting. Which is a pity, for I might have bid on them.

Secondly, as stated by another member in your other thread- listing the size of the shoe is essential for potential buyers who intend to wear them.

Third, starting a MySpace to promote your designs seems essential in this day and age, plus, it costs you nothing. While selling things via MySpace is verboten, it is an excellent medium for promoting things, and you can link to your sales site and send out bulletins announcing new creations, etc. You can also post links to specific ebay listings.

Again, very excited to see your work and look forward to enjoying the results of your creativity for years to come. Best of luck to you.

  2. WOW!!!

I am SOOOOO happy you posted here. I have looked at the video you posted, and also your blog (http://metalhighheelstemptations.blogspot.com/)

    Hi there all

Some of the mmebr may already know I create my own high heels and that I have sold two pieces of my design work on ebay.

Just to let you know that you can view photo galleries of them on youtube and also I just recently finished a pair off.

Below is the link to see my latest high heel creation which I will be putting on ebay for sale soon in order to create more new designs. You can also see my other video of another design I created and sold to collector in Norway.

    Thank you and Kindest Regards

  3. Here is my embarassing moment and this is a true story.

When I was younger, I was at a party at some friend's house. We all were asked to remove our shoes because of their carpet. We all put our shoes and coats in one of the bedrooms. We were playing games including charades and lip sinking. I went to the bathroom and passed by the bedroom with the coats and shoes. There was a pair of black patent leather pumps with a three inch or so high heel. No one was around so I tried on the shoes. About that time the woman who owned them asked, "what do you think you are doing?" Thinking fast I said, I saw these high heels and I wanted to try them on, and then go lipsink a Tina Turner song. I think it will crack up everyone." She chewed me out for putting them on without asking her. She was afraid I might stretch them or damage them. I told her I didn't know whose shoes they were and apologized. I told her they fit OK. I asked her if I could wear them for the lipsink, and If I would wear them on their kitchen floor and do the lipsink there. She reluctently said OK. I asked her to introduce me as Tina Turner (and I'm not black, but that was the only female singer I could think of who sang and danced in high heels). I lipsank "Proud Mary" and everyone screamed!

I had no intention of doing this when I tried on those high heels. It was embarassing, but it was fun getting out of that mess.;)

    That is adorable! So Sweet!

  4. Just a small update on the situation.

I followed Wuornos advice and I discovered that the problem mainly is that my feet are slipping down the shoe instead of being held in place.

I thought that the gel pads should take care of that, but they do only temporarily (first 40-50 mins) and then after that they get a bit slippery.

I'm thinking about using some cotton balls to pad the shoe front so the feet stay in place and avoid this situation, has anybody tried that?

    Cheers

Glad that you were able to troubleshoot the problem, and are working towards the solution.. AND that you are sensible enough to prevent any longstanding (I know, punny...) nerve damage by removing the shoe when discomfort occurs. Best to you.

  5. *Disclaimer: This is NOT Medical advice, only speculation*

    1. Obviously, remove the shoe immediately at the first sign of numbness, tingling, "paraplegia". The numbness is likely caused by nerve compression.

    2. You say the pain and numbness is only on the right (presumably- but not necessarily- your "dominant" foot). Barring preexisting circulatory or neurological conditions (arthritis, diabetes, etc.) it is likely caused by the shoe.

    You could :

    A. Try a different pair of 5 inch heels. It may be that particular shoe causing the problem.

    B. Take off the right shoe at the first sign of paraplegia and leave the left on, to see if the same symptoms appear on the left (less dominant foot) over time.

    C. Stretch and deeply massage both feet prior to putting on the heels.

    D. Take breaks to massage and stretch your feet every hour or so.

    E. Elevate your feet- above the level of your heart- at least ten minutes every hour or so.

This may help you "troubleshoot" the problem.

The most important thing is to remove the right shoe at the first sign of numbness or pain- it will NEVER "work itself out" by continuing to wear the shoe.

    Best of luck to you.

    Just an opinion...

  6. I'm not embarrassed by much (Thankfully, 'cause I'm an idiot, and life would be hell..).

But the time I accompanied a burlesque performer with size 4 (yes, FOUR!) feet on an "emergency shoe run" was a bit SURREAL: Lurking about the children's section searching for "slutty" shoes was a bit too "John Binet Ramsey" if I may say so...creepy! hahaha!

  7. Funnily enough we don't seem to have this problem too much in London. Perhaps it's all the carrear girls in smart 4" pumps and knee boots.

    ***OFF TOPIC ALERT***

    *Moving to London immediately* Lol.

I'm trying to erase the phrase "No Problem" from the English Language because for some to say that to me implies that either: I gave them a problem in the first place, or, that the person considers me to be so objectionable that they believe that other people would have a problem with talking to me.

    ***End Of Off Topic***

Even worse- Much, much worse, IMHO, is the hideous "It's All Good" phrase so popular in the States. When someone says "It's All Good", there is a 100% certainty that all there is something going on that is NOT good at all....

    Lol.

  8. High Heels are aesthetically powerful.

A woman who "owns" her power and celebrates it by wearing a power object threatens misogynistic patriarchy, and the status quo.

A man who wears high heels is even more transgressive, because he is not only radically nonconformist, but is abdicating his male privilege by celebrating an aesthetic that is traditionally (at least in our recent history) "female".

If boring people are offended, consider that you are doing something right, and providing a service to the world...

    Just an opinion...

This concept was brought up in the female section also but it bothered me soo much that i must address it.

I dont understand why heels...or anything above 1 inch heel is like considered taboo....ignorant brainless people with no class sit there and label shoes "stripper shoes" just because theyre mad they wont look good in them or can walk in them. Im sorry for being blunt but people like that piss me off. I remember this female i dunno her but she is soo loud and annoying and all she ever wore were sweat pants hoodies and socks with flip flops if she wasnt wearing those ugly uggs....she is known dor her smitty remarks..

this girl walked by and she had a nice pair of stiletto pumps..they were about 4" i would assume.... and being the jealous brainless person she is she made some remark about how that girl must be a u know what.

I know that she isnt the only one, there are alot of people like this.

isnt it ironic that the people who call them "stripper shoes" are the same ones who wear knee high boots...Now every female is wearing knee high boots...knee high boots before were often worn by prostitutes. so were pumps..and people now wear them! those pin up girls who were considered "provocative" wore peep toe shoes

u cant take a shoe and label it after someone...like strippers or whatever people associate heels to be.

but they accept attire like mini skirts on teeny bopper kids and shirts that have "delicious" or "sexy" across the front but only heels are considered provacative?

  9. I am interested in Metal High Heeled shoes. I have seen the "6 Inch High Heels Forever" Stainless Steel Pumps (http://www.orientvisual.com/6inchfor...teelframes.htm) , and find them very interesting, but not very aesthetically appealing. Obviously the design concerns involved in fashioning shoes from such unyielding and treacherous materials are complex. (Namely, preserving the integrity of the foot!)

If anyone has any info on metal high heels- pumps, sandals, whatever, Please post your info here. I am interested in any metal HH shoes whatsoever, whether currently available, historical, "un-wearable art objects", "something you heard about", whatever. Most grateful for any info or thoughts you may have.

*to be clear: I am referring to shoes made of metal entirely (or nearly) NOT shoes with metal HEELS*

    Thank You.:santa_hat:
