  1. I too love the way they feel on my feet. I'm not saying they make me feel "sexy", but they do make me feel different some times. I don't have the same feeling everytime, but it does make me feel better. Is it wrong for a guy to feel SEXY when wearing heels? I'm not suggesting is it, just throwing out the question. I think it depends on our mood, what kind of heels we are wearing, what else we are wearing(or not wearing), the situation, and most important, who we are with. So yes, you could feel "sexy" and it be a perfectly normal response. A male sexy vs. a female sexy vs. a TV/TG sexy? Thoughts? BG

  2. Some things never change. Yes, Payless and all other stores will generally only stock what they think will sell. It's called the Bottom Line. You can't blame them for only carrying what they will sell. You can get bigger sizes on line at Payless early in the season and I like to wait until later in the season to shop the sales at Payless's that carry larger sizes. Some of the boots at Payless are good for a season or two, but for the price, it works for me. Besides you get to update your collection more frequently, and if a pair is ill fitting, it doesn't hurt to get rid of them. I have noticed that Payless copies the trend, so that's cool. But sometimes I wish they would carry the same style for more than a year. Living in a rural area, there aren't a lot of choices beyond the Internet. Thanks, Boot Guy

  3. I can attest to what ThighBootGuy is saying about the Elle's. I have a pair of 8899 in blue leather. For a while they did hurt after wearing them for an hour or more. But I kept on wearing them and all of a sudden they became SO easy to wear for all day. Granted I didn't walk miles in them, but going up and down stairs and moving quickly was not a problem. I think what helped the most was finding the right thickness of sock to wear with them. I tried nylons to thick outdoor socks. I settled on a cotton boot sock that isn't real thin, and not real thick. The moral of the story is that you just have to keep wearing them and wearing them becomes second nature. You will know within a couple of months (of occasional wear) if they fit. Come to think of it, I actually wore them to bed and maybe they molded themselves to my foot?!? Being leather, they breath and your feet don't become sweaty or hot. That is one huge advantage to real leather. Boot Guy

  4. Jim, there aren't too many Famous Footwear stores where I live so I haven't been in too many. The few I've been in didn't seem to have anything larger than an occasional 11 (womens). I need at least a 12. How common are 12s or even 13s in FF? Boots only. I went to their website and they only had boots up to 11. I checked out their mens boots and while they were nice, they almost all looked like they were patterned after swimming fins! Why is it that most mens boots look like this? That is one reason I think womens boots look so much better. The have decent looking toes. Rounded, squared or pointed are better than swimming fins. Unless I want to go snorkling in my boots! Thanks BG

  5. Here is a trick I have done to several of my boots that might be useful to someone. If you are hesitant to wear a pair of shoes/boots because they have a hard sole and are so loud as to draw instant attention to you, you can add a piece of rubber to the sole and heel that will drastically reduce the noise. I know that the sound a shoe and heel makes is a big part of why we love to wear them (for most people here, I think). I have a pair of boots that could be worn very easily out and about, but they are very loud and therefore I have not worn them. I added a piece of rubber and now they sound perfect. They still sound like a heel, but much more subdued and actually I think they sound much better. Before it sounded like a piece of plastic hitting the ground, now they sound like a real boot. I use inner tube rubber because it is readily available, cheap, and mostly because it is thin and has just the right amount of "rubbery" to it. Plus, I haven't had a problem with them being slippery in the wet, but I guess you could rough up the bottom with course sand paper for better traction. I put contact cement on the rubber and boot and follow the directions. It seems to last a very long time and if you decide to remove the rubber, it can be done and the remaining cement can be scraped off or will wear off in time. That's all I have to say about that....Forrest Gump

  6. I totally agree that they are just shoes and/or just heels and we should ask ourselves what the big deal is. Taken from another point of view, some people may say that a bra is just a piece of clothing. True, but its basic purpose is to support breasts. Therefore a bra is labeled a female exclusive garment. So when a male wants to wear something that traditionally is common to the womens department, it is seen as abnormal to the average person. We all know that they are really narrow minded, but that's because "we" are enlightened! Reading posts here, I am getting the impression that when men wear heels out in public, the general reaction is not that big of a deal. I imagine it would all depend on where you are. If you lived in a fishing or logging community, like myself, you had better use descretion. It seems like the worst areas are where the teenage toughs are. They have to make a name for themselves and act tough. I just went to a Christmas party and there were a number of men who just wore blue jeans, some with holes, and everyday shirts. Not quite the attire of a semiformal setting. A nice pair of heels would have looked so much better under a nice pair of slacks, than a pair of dirty sneakers under a pair of cruddy jeans. It made me want to tell them that the Salvation Army has nicer pants for $5 and maybe they should go get some. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Frustrated!!! BG

  7. As my name implies, I prefer boots. They don't have to have a heel, I have a couple that are about an inch high, and about 10 pair that are 3-4 inches and a pair of 5 inch stiletto THB. I love heels and boots because they look natural and feel natural. Flat feet are just so dull and unnatural looking. When you are in heels, you seem to be ready to move, ready to pounce! I love the sound of a clacking heel on hard surfaces, I love the way the heels change your body posture and improve it. Boots seem to just be an extention of your legs. There are so many colors, textures, heel shapes and heights that you can't ever get tired of them. I guess this applies to shoes as well. But in the wet NW of USA, boots can also keep your feet dry. Try walking through a water puddle in a pair of sandals!! I guess there is also a mild bondage theme in boots because you can't them them off in an instant, although that is secondary to me. Maybe a reason that isn't thought about is that heels are normally reserved for women and by wearing them, we (males) like taking the risk and the chance of being seen. Naturally, I wish we could wear whatever we want without any concern at all, but would this diminish the allure of heels? I dunno, Heel Up! BG

  8. Hello Everyone!

I tried something today and wondered if anyone else has tried it.

I took my boots and shoes and used them as decorations in my house. I hung my boots up on the wall and put my shoes on the coffee table and open shelves. I figured they should be out in the open and not in a closet. And there are several other good reasons to bring them out:

1-You get to admire them all the time

2- As you get different shoes and boots down to wear, you are always changing your décor

3- They are hanging with the tops open and get to air out and remain fresh and don’t develop wrinkles or creases

4- Anyone who visits knows immediately that you take your footwear seriously

5- If you need to fill in a blank part of the wall, you have a good reason to get another pair!:santa_hat:

I used paper clamps and clamped the zipper side so they are open on top.

I noticed that thigh high boots look fantastic on a narrow wall. They look even taller because the wall is the same general shape, tall and narrow.

I've seen where someone took a pair of skyscraper 7" heels and mounted them on a base and used them as bookends!:w00t2:

I was just wondering if anyone else has done this,

    Thank you

  9. I am a 47yoa male and only recently started to wear 3-4 inch heels when at home. I also have a sore knee and had a MRI and Xrays done that could not point to any problems. But my knee was swollen for over a month and it hurt very much. However, the pain was much LESS when I was wearing my heels. I think they made me use different muscles and the tendons/ligaments aligned differently. Let me point out that my sore knee did NOT stop me from playing golf. However, when I walked on the Greens with my 5inch "spikes" they asked me to leave. I still don't know why. The sign said that Alternative Spikes were required. Go Figure...

  10. CT06si, you may not realize it, but you are very, very lucky to have such an understanding lady. :santa_hat: I too was amazed at how good I felt when I wore boots with heels. Most of mine are in the 3-4 inch, but I do have a pair of thigh high boots with 5 inch spike heels. I am not interersted in crossdressing, I would look hideous, but do have a medium duty corset that feels great and is comfortable. Although if it were made for a man, it would be more comfy. It is a white satin, so it isn't too extreme.

Anyway, here is a link I found on YouTube that might be of help to you and your fiance.

It really works and is fun to try the recommendations.

About the stockings, if you feel weird about them, you can try the mens versions earlier in this thread, or you can just realize that nobody but you and your GF will see them. Besides you might find you like the feeling of pantyhose as well!

Oh, if you really want to take it to the next level, try a pair of leather pants! You can get tight ones or looser ones. I have several I use for bike riding and even a pair that look like painters pants with the hammer loop and ruler pockets. I got them on eBay for about $40.

Please let us know how it goes in the future!
