  1. ...no, I'm referring to the ones who get free medical, section 8 subsidized housing, food stamps, earned income credit (even though they don't pay income taxes), bilingual printed matter, their children get free school breakfast and lunch, bilingual teachers and books, they get relief from high energy bills, if they are or become aged, blind or cripple they qualify for SSI (and never put a damn penny into it), and once they qualify for SSI they can get Medicaid too. They usually have fake ID's, don't have a valid license, don't worry about paying insurance either! Add up all the benefits (even if they're slave labor as you imply) they are making $30 to $40 an hour. I personally don't want to buy the world a Coke and live in perfect harmony or sit around a campfire and sing goom-by-yah either. If you do, go ahead, it's your (country's) funeral...

  2. Was wondering if anybody knows where one can find the type of classic (3"-4") pump that were worn by the likes of Barbara Eden in "Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea", Tippi Hedren in "The Birds", the customer in Dick Van Dyke's episode "Young Man With A Shoehorn", etc. There are alot of modern renditions out there, and they're not bad, but they're missing, for one, the curvature of the heel from the main body of the shoe. Any ideas?

  3. New here, but not to heels. Same old story; I was always infatuated with heels (hose too) since I was a lad back in the 60's. As time went by, I braved buying womens' footwear (not high heels so much, but boots that fit snugger). Then came the disco era; didn't care much for the music, but at least the shoes weren't like my great grandfathers! I do own a few pairs of boots with significant heels and do wear them (even though I'm 6'2"). When I get asked "why are you wearing high heels" I simply answer that you can never be too rich, too thin or too tall. Since the first two options are out, that leaves me with the last one. In any case, it's nice to see that there are others that share like interests...
