I'm actually thinking of taking a swing at this very issue soon, although instead of welding steel I'm leaning towards milling some sandals out of billet aluminum (CNC milling ftw) and using some nylon coated cables for straps. If I go this route, is anyone interested in a pair? Computer assisted milling has the obvious benefit of easy, precise reproduction and it might be nice to offset some of the cost

I just missed them. And they were in my size too, although I'm not sure the tops would have fit around my thighs.

They show a surprising amount of wear too. Does this mean that someone else managed to don them for an extended period of time?

I'm in the market for a couple of pairs of metal high heels. Is 6ihhf the only vendor? Has anyone ordered a pair of the newer version? If so, any thoughts about them? $350 seems kind of pricey considering the negative I've heard about their customer service :\
