  1. The first day I put some heels (boots). I decided to wear them for the day. I was walking to my house from the bus stop when my mate cycled passed, he stopped quickly and asked what the hell I was wearing. To which I responded heels. ( I was crapping myself). He then just looked at me and carried on cycling. I avoided him and his family for ages, incase he had mentioned anything to them. I now see him and his family quite regularly and he hasn't said anything since. My family know's I like wearing heels, but I don't feel comfortable wearing them in front of them, and it upsets my sister. So I tend not to wear them near my family. I do worry that someone I know will see me and what they will say, or anyone else for that matter. But I've come to the conclusion that I'm happy with who I am, and If they don't like it then thats there problem not mine. Hopefully, thats what I'l say if ever confronted and not just cower away.

  2. I wanted to come to this, but was nervous and scared, as I had only just built the confidence up to wear my heels outside. Now I'm more confident, will hopefully attend next years. I'm actually going to london tomorrow and intend on wearing my boots all day, though they'll be under my jeans. It looks like you all had a really good day, I look forward to meeting you all next year.

  3. I wouldn't be able to suggest where in London to go, though i do agree that London does come across as a anything goes type of place. I don't know if this will help, but a couple days ago I went out shopping in my local town with my gf. I decided to wear my knee high boots (under my jeans) with a 3" heel. As far as i'm aware the only people that seemed to notice me in heels, was a group of girls (approx early 20's), but i was in a shoe shop trying some boots on. So it was kinda obvious. The early other time was a bit later on, we went to TK maxx an i was trying some boots on again, when a much older women was browsing the boots near by. I know she saw me trying boots on, as when i finished and went to walk past her she gave me a funny look ( it was friendly, like she was curious). Thats the second time I have worn heels outside, but i certainly do feel more confident, especially after being seen and knowing it. If your happy wearing heels out an about, then go for it. I've only done it when my gf has been with me, that helps me feel more comfortable and safe. ( I do get slightly worried that someone may notice and then start a fight or something). So maybe someone could go with you, (if anyone knows you wear heels) may make you feel more comfortable and happy. Hope it goes well for you, if you do it.

  4. My gf (Sian) isn't bothered by it. Infact, when i told her about me having a thing for boots, It was her who took me out one day to try boots on. Sian even persuaded me (with a slight push and boost of confidence) to go out into town and try boots on in the middle of the day, and buy some. Sian doesn't mind it at all, on the same day that i bought my first boots, I went out wearing them in town. Sian found it amusing, as when we were walking we were holding hands, only i was squeezing her hand pretty tightly, lol. I've got a few girl friends that know that i wanted to wear boots out and about, there pretty cool about it. All they said was that if thats what i want to do then thats cool with them. Unfortunately not everyone is free spirited and open minded

  5. I'm 21, bought first per of heels last friday, and wore them around town the same day. They are a pair of knee high black boots with a 2 inch heel. I had my girlfriend with me, she kinda pushed/persuaded me into buying some and wearing them. I was scared to wear them out so soon, but i felt good wearing them, lil nervous of other people. Unfortuantely my sister and mum found out, as someone saw me. But it wasn't too bad, now for there sakes I'm not wearing them out where people that i know will see me. The experience was great, and I'm just gagging to get out in my boots again

  6. Hi, I would just like to congratulate you on going out and being yourself. I've just joined this site, i came across this site by accident a few days ago, but im extremely glad i did. I was out with my girlfriend last week, and bought some knee high boots( my girlfriend is fine about it). We got on a bus to go to another town, so i out my boots on when i was on the bus. We got off the bus and went for shopping in town. I felt quite nervous and scared as it was my first time out in heels( i was wearing them under my jeans). I really enjoyed wearing them out, and my girlfriend found it quite funny. Unfortunately someone saw me and told my sister who in turn told my mum ( I still live at home with my family), my mum questioned me about it, and thinks i'm secretly gay and will come out one day, lol. (i'm not gay, bi-curious though). Anyway, I'm just gaggin to get out wear my boots again, just worried someone that i know will see me . Sorry about the long post. I've got loads of respect for those guys that are comfortably walking out and about in their heels. Fair play
