  1. I wear my heels from when I get dressed in the morning to when I go to bed at night. I often change into a different pair of heels when I get home from work just for the feel of fresh shoes. I'm almost 23 and I've been wearing since I was 15. I try to look after my feet and so far haven't had any problems. Abi xx

  2. Hi, If anything my Mum was a negative influence on me. She is quite stout and always wore "comfortable shoes" no matter what the occasion. The highest heel I think I ever saw her wear was about 1". I have no sisters but was best friends with two sisters who lived across the street. We had a great time trying on each other clothes, though they both had big feet compared to mine so I could never borrow their shoes. When I went into 3rd year at secondary school I started to wear tights instead of socks and persuaded my Mum to let me have court shoes. I would have been 13 at the time. The heels weren't very high, maybe an inch or so, but I always chose stilettos to make me feel more grown up. By the time I turned 15 I'd discovered boys and enjoyed being noticed. My Mum would never let me have high heels so I got a Saturday job and saved up. My first pair were 3 1/2" stiletto courts. I couldn't risk being caught at home with them so I asked a friend to keep them and then I'd change my shoes at the school gates. I loved the feeling of walking in with the extra height and the sound they made on the hard floors. It made me feel special and the boys would sometimes wolf whistle. After lots of nagging my Mum finally agreed to let me have a pair of stiletto sandals for my 16th birthday. To her horror I picked the highest pair I could find - 4" silver and sparkly - for partying of course. Soon after that I came home in my "school" heels and Mum never said a word. I guess she figured I was old enough to make my own decisions by then. As my old shoes wore out I replaced them with heels and haven't looked back. Abi

  3. Hi, I got my first pair of heels when I was 14. It was sort of an act of rebellion against my conservative parents, who I knew wouldn't approve. It was a pair of black stiletto courts (pumps) with about a 4" heel. I felt a bit unsteady in them at first, especially on shiny / slippery floors, but soon learned how to walk in them properly. I wore them at every opportunity outside of school (we weren't allowed heels at that age). Our school didn't have a 6th form and the dress code was more relaxed for the final year. We got to choose the colour of the uniform and our year chose burgundy. My second pair of heels was burgundy courts with a 4" heel to go with the uniform. I would have been 15 then. My mum went mad and wouldn't let me wear them so I would leave home in flatties and change on the way lol. Love, Abi

  4. Hi, I also have size 4 (UK) feet. To begin with I found 4" to be my limit. Then I found a really good pair of 4 1/2" heels and they were OK. With practice I learned to walk just fine in those. Now 4 1/2" isn't a problem at all. With 5" and above the arch is very steep and there's not much toe to balance with. That takes a lot of practice, but it can be done. I wear 5" when we go out. Anything taller is strictly for the bedroom 8). Take your wife shopping and get her to try as many heels above 4" that she can. If she finds a pair that suits her then learning to walk in them will be a lot easier. Love, Abi

  5. Hi, The secondary school I went to had a strict dress code up until 5th year (15/16). We had to wear school uniform before that and they wouldn't allow high heels. In the 5th year the girls got to decide on the colour of the uniform and the rules were less strict. Our year chose burgundy. I wore 4" stilettos right from the start of term. My parents were dead against it so I had to leave home in flatties and change before I got to school. I got some black looks from one or two teachers but I was never disciplined for it. I carried on with high heels when I went to sixth form college for my A levels. Love, Abi

  6. Hi, I started wearing stilettos regularly when I was 14. My parents hated the idea ... it will ruin your feet, you will look like a tart ... but I was bloody minded and wore them all the same. I have small feet so 4" was as much as I was comfortable in back then. I think it would be ok at any age if the girl wanted to and was sensible about it. Love, Abi
