My highest heels were about 14 cm, stilettos, no platform, early 1990's. One shoe was damaged due to a misstep. Never felt comfortable on that height. At present my limit is 12 cm no platform, inside my home only. For longer periods I prefer 10-11 cm.

One pair old shoes, two pairs casual shoes for warmer season, three pairs casual shoes for colder season, and 29 pairs high heels. Most heels are stiletto's, hight between 2-plus inch and 5 inch.

My limit is 12cm no platform, in my house. Outdoors not higher than 4 inches (irregular pavement), though I rarely go outside in heels.

I have some pairs with 12 cm heels and 2 cm platform, fairly comfortable for longer periods. I also "rediscovered" pairs with 3 and 4 inch stiletto, no platform.

Around 1979 I bought first pair, slingbacks, 5 plus inch heel, somewhat thicker than stiletto, single sole. I still regret that I threw them away.

Stylewise I prefer the Domina's. More elegant. If you can manage the full 6 inches, go for it. Good luck!

Mostly I heel a couple of hours a day, not every day, not in public. So, a 1 or 2 or 1.7?

Edit: if public exposure is the criterium I would be 1.1 for an occasional walk in the dark.

At 3:17 it seems the dancer right of Mary (viewer's point) wears a less chunkier shoe. Very hard to see if the dancer is "he" or "she" at 3:26. Greetings Hans.

I certainly would not. The very idea that my stiletto's would qualify for "orthopedic shoes". Greetings Hans.

The questions are silly, the answers do not lead to any pain indication, if any. Why don't you buy heels in different styles and heights, and experience the pain, if any. Greetings Hans.

Personally: heels and pants will do. On the street I like seeing bare legs (and a bit of knee) in stiletto's. Greetings Hans.

I voted "yes". "Looking sexy" is a whole picture, shape, motion, dress, shoes, hairstyle, make-up etc . A woman can be sexy in flats; I like seeing heels, stiletto's in particular. A male wearing heels is not sexy to me, but good looking and brave. It would not change my perception of female sexyness. Greetings Hans

I voted 4 inches, which is my limit for comfort. I have not yet heeled outside my home. If I do, I would wear lower heels. The pavement differs too much from my floorcover. which is a thin carpet. Greetings Hans

Hello to you all; back in business again. In August 2008 I decided to update my email adress. Access to the board was restricted. Never received the confirmation email. Bothered Tech a couple of times; despite his efforts I never received the confirmation emails or instructions. I have no other explanation then that my mail provider operates a highly effective " High Heel Place email killer". Be warned!!
